The house is spacious and well designed with amazing views. The bathrooms, kitchen and furnishings are very high quality; comfortable beds, powerful showers, plenty of storage, equipment, seating and dining space. The wood burner and private hot-tub were particular favourites. The whole site is spotlessly clean and well maintained, Emma and Peter were very responsive hosts. There are lots of walks from the property and Dartmouth is a 15 minute drive away with great restaurants, cafes and activities. We all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
We so enjoyed a multigenerational family stay in the main house. Plenty of room for everyone and the facilities are spot on. House was very well equipped and little shed provides all you need for fun outdoor play. Super communication with Estate manager. We will certainly book again.

We had the best stay for our little family, our boys loved the pool, tennis, play park and indoor play area. My 4 year old didn’t want to leave and 9 month old was so happy because he could move around and play as well. We were able to relax and it helped we chose a week where the weather was perfect. The views from everywhere are absolutely stunning and the cottages, equipment and grounds are so well maintained. Superb family holiday - beautiful setting, high quality accommodation and so many resources on site for all ages to enjoy. Not cheap but well worth it.
We had two admin issues. The first we could not make payment of the balance on the website, the error reported was a system error. It did take 3 days before the web site worked correctly. The other issue, a sent sms message incorrectly allocated us to another cottage. Otherwise the property was good and clean and location excellent. I would recommend this to friends and family and would consider a return in the future.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this peaceful location. The cottage was well equipped, warm and comfortable.
We had a lovely stay at Gitcombe. The place was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable as was the sofa. We really enjoyed making the most of the pools and hot tub, especially early in the morning. The grounds of Gitcombe are beautiful, the landscape is stunning and well looked after, we got to see a few rabbits running around early in the morning.
Simply great 12th consecutive year now for us and we really wouldn’t stay anywhere else Perfect place in a perfect place and counting the days to our next stay!
