The River Waveney marks the border between Norfolk and Suffolk and Mendham Mill sits astride the river, surrounded by hundreds of acres of beautiful water meadows. Four award-winning cottages which include the stunning Georgian Miller’s House have been created from houses, a granary, and other estate buildings. The owners are on hand assisting visitors who wish to fish or make use of the canoes or rowing boat in the sparkling private waters of the river. With places like Southwold, Aldeburgh and Norwich all within easy reach Mendham Mill is ideally located.
Where do I start, fantastic place we stayed at the north meadow cottage James and Nick were so helpful an fantastic hosts. Location was amazing weather was sunshine everyday for the hole week. We will be back big thank you to all at Mendham Mill.
Had an enjoyable holiday, only problem with accommodation was that being disabled it would have helped considerably if the shower and bath were fitted with handrails, more or less essential if you have difficulty standing or walking.
Our fourth stay in as many years. This shows how much we enjoy our time spent at the Mill and in the Lodge. Another wonderful two weeks of relaxation and peace with amazing weather. The Mill is amazing and is a huge credit to the owners James and Nick whose inspiration and love of their home shines through everything. They are also always willing to help or chat and we always look forward to that part of our stay. A big thank you for all our chats this year to Nick James Lewis and Branni. A swim in the river is top on my list for next year. See you all then xxxx

The beds were comfortable...more
