Lovely clean comfortable cottage had everything you need. It is in a great location for getting to Bowness or Windermere. The only issue we had was the parking but we managed to park up Biskey Howe Road so not too far away.
This was our second stay in this property. The location is excellent helped by designated parking! The property is very accessible and provides a fabulous welcome upon entering. The apartment is so comfortable. We had a wonderful 3 days and look forward to returning next year.
This was our fifth year staying at Mere View Loft and, once again, it did not disappoint. It is such a lovely, stylish, clean and comfortable place to stay in the heart of Bowness and is exceptional accommodation. A big thank you to Claire and Ross for continuing to offer such a wonderful place to stay and for providing such a smooth, professional and courteous booking service from start to finish. This is apartment is a gem in the heart of the beautiful Lake District and Tarn and Fell Escapes provides excellent customer service.
Everything about Wansfell Heights makes it a superb visit each time. Apart from the high quality, tasteful decor and the excellent wide ranging amenities and comfortable furnishings the place is always warm and quiet and very relaxing to be in whilst also being very continently located with good parking.
Corner House was in a fantastic location. Easy to find, great pubs in the local area. Perfect weekend getaway for a couple including dogs! Top notch service from Ross, we will definitely be back. Thanks so much!

We stayed at Smithy Cottage with Tarn & Fell Escapes who are the most polite, professional and helpful Lakeland holiday cottage company we've dealt with in a long time. Our visits to the Lake District span 36 years using well known local cottage companies that unfortunately lost that sense of personable customer care around 6 years ago, making us feel like a number. We were all really impressed by the bedrooms styles and sizes and the fact that every room had an ensuit! The kitchen was huge and fully stocked with all cooking utensils and made a lovely atmosphere for gathering together. The sitting room was huge as was the garden making it a very comfortable stay for 8 adults.
This accommodation was fantastic. Pristine clean with every facility and equipment you could possibly need! A hidden gem. We loved the communal space alongside the privacy and convenience of separate rooms - all with en-suite. A superb place, location and weekend!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pottery Gate. The house was super clean, very comfortable, and a great place to come home too after a long day walking. The bathroom was a huge hit with my children, watching tv while having a bath was a great surprise! It was very handy having the laundry facilities too, a great addition to the house. I’d also add that we are not pet people and I was a little worried about smells, but there was none at all. It was very clean and smelt wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone looking for a little base in the Lakes.
We had a lovely three night break at High Tarn Green. The rural location made for a quiet peaceful stay in warm, comfortable and well presented accommodation. The property had everything we required and we had no need to bother our hosts who had left us some nice biscuits, milk, orange juice and wine to find on our arrival, a nice touch. The property location is ideal for exploring the South Lakes area and The Furness Peninsular and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to family and friends.

The cottage was the perfect place for my family and I to spend Christmas. The whole place was well stocked and the host added lots of little touches that added to the Christmas spirit in the house, including a live Christmas tree! The kitchen was also amazingly well equipped, allowing us to cook a full Christmas dinner without much additional equipment. Lastly the location itself was set beautifully on a hill and made it easy to access all the nearby villages in the lake districts.
Fantastic little cottage, Everything you need is supplied, spotlessly clean had a fantastic stay. The staircase may be challenging for elderly guests but we managed fine.
We booked Rose Barn at short notice through Tarn & Fell Escapes Ltd. A very easy process and we also received a call to ensure we had received our welcome pack which was a nice touch. The property we rented was a lovely converted barn not far from Windermere. It contained everything we needed for our mini break, in excellent condition, lovely furnishings and most importantly it was very clean. There was a great local friendly pub within a 5 minute walk which served good food and shops were about 5 minutes by car. Highly recommended - thanks for a great time.
We stayed here for Four nights over the Christmas period. The cottage was in an excellent location, so peaceful and quiet. It had a well equipped kitchen to enable us to make a full Christmas dinner. The cleanliness and comfort could not be faulted and we will most definitely stay again. The treats that were left for us were really appreciated.
What a great cottage so warm and cosy, the underfloor heating is great, stayed end of Jan and had to turn heating down it was such a warm cottage. Great location, garden enclosed so perfect for the dogs. Would definitely recommend and we will stay again. Great communication from Tarn and Fell.

We had the most amazing stay at Firgarth Lodge over Christmas! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The cabin had everything we could possibly need—and then some. Ross was incredibly easy to get in touch with and helped resolve any questions or issues almost immediately, making our stay completely stress-free. The extra touches really made it special, especially the Christmas decorations that added such a warm, festive feel. We had a great time at dizzy ducks. Few things need repair extract fan being the main one but overall it’s a great place to stay. We’ll be back.
