What is excellent about this property is the 4 comfortable bedrooms all with well finished en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fantastic and has everything you would need including a pantry area with wine fridge and another large fridge freezer plus downstairs loo. The lounge area has a wood burning fire for cosy evenings. The parking is a short distance away - we had no difficulties with others parking in it. The WiFi was very variable and it was difficult to watch TV on some days though this might have been impacted by the storms - we could not find the box to reboot as indicated in the kitchen.

This is a lovely holiday right in the centre of Hawkshead. Easy walking distance to the shops and pubs/restaurants in the village. Parking restricted to small spaces, but local car park is a short walk away.
Kitchen is well equiped, all bedrooms en-suite with an additional downstairs loo. The smaller bedrooms have limited storage space for suitcases, so its easier to bring smaller, squashing bags. We took two dogs and it was easy to take them out for a quick walk at night. Really good bus service (hourly) between Hawkshead and Ambleside or Coniston - we used it lots, never drove our car whilst in Hawkshead apart from a quick visit to Hilltop (Beatrix Potter's house). Lovely walks and scenery around, as well as boat trips on Windermere and Coniston Water. Great break with friends.

We had a lovely stay at Wordsworth Lodge. Hawkshead is a perfect base for exploring the Lake District and is also a great place to relax in one of the pubs after a busy day out.
Wandsworth Lodge itself is beautifully maintained and provides clean and comfortable accommodation for a large group. We particularly appreciated that each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, so no hanging around for a shower after a tough day in the hills!

We had a wonderful stay at Wordsworth Lodge, the lodge is full of character, clean and very spacious. It had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable apart from shampoo, conditioner and shower gel as you need to bring your own. We loved the fact we were positioned right in the middle of the little quaint shops, the co-op, bars restaurants and cafes. It was a very beautiful peaceful village with everyone being so friendly, we would definitely recommend and stay again… Thank you Tarn and Fell

The cottage was booked to celebrate a special family birthday. We found the cottage extremely clean, spacious and comfortable with lots of character and in a great location. I can thoroughly recommend booking with Tarn & Fell Escapes, as they were very courteous and helpful from start to finish, even going above and beyond to drop off items which were left at the cottage by mistake, at the end of our visit.

This accommodation was fantastic. Pristine clean with every facility and equipment you could possibly need! A hidden gem. We loved the communal space alongside the privacy and convenience of separate rooms - all with en-suite. A superb place, location and weekend!

This is a great place to stay. Everything was just right and when we liked...
Location near the lakes, quiet village with loads of amenities eg Coop round the corner.
Kitchen was very well appointed, sharp knives, loads of cutlery and crockery, everything we needed and more (eg nut crackers and in ear thermometer)
Loved that every room had en suite and was so clean and tidy. Well done team.

Three things I'd suggest.
1. Many times tripped over the step in the kitchen. Needs a line painting on it or something.
2. Several times we banged our heads coming down the stairs from the two rooms (near the door next to the fireplace) this needs a soft cover or something.
3. The instructions in the book were great except the bins part isn't very clear. Need to add that the locks can stay on on for Tuesday bin day. Also I would move the locks away from the hinge (drill new holes) as we found lots of stuff (incl dog poo bags) in the bin even though it was locked, since the bin can be opened a little even though its locked. Also its not very clear what to do with the bin on bin day. Its next to the parking spaces and with two cars it means that a car is next to the bin.
