Such a wonderful apartment set in the excellent Snape Maltings . All the furniture and fittings are high quality which makes for a luxurious stay. Excellent service and support from Sue the accommodation manager.
An excellent stay. Smugglers Cottage was the perfect retreat from the awful weather! The communication was excellent and the cottage provided all necessary kitchen equipment. Ability to sign into Netflix a bonus.
My husband and I stayed at Malt Cottage for 5 nights over Christmas whilst the rest of the family stayed at Iken View which worked out perfectly. Both properties were spotless, very well equipped, perfectly positioned for fabulous walks & near all the Maltings amenities. Both properties had even been tastefully decorated for us with twinkly lights & a Christmas . The welcome bottles of wine were also much appreciated! Sue was very helpful & professional in helping me book everything seamlessly & checking that everything was ok for our stay. We very much look forward to returning soon. Thank...more
We had a 3-day party for a significant life event. Our 58 guests were accommodated very comfortably in Snape Bridge House and the surrounding properties and the house itself provided ample space for gathering the whole party for meals and communal activities. The location is magical, offering great opportunities for exploring Snape Maltings and for walks in the countryside.
The views were fabulous - and beautiful in the sunshine and in the deluges (we had both). Great location - either to stay put or to explore from (by car or foot). We all loved it.
Staying at Snape Maltings generally, and in Flat 10 specifically, is something my wife and I really enjoy, when we need to get away from the rush of modern life. The flat is a nice size for a family. It has a 'lived-in' feel to it, that makes one feel comfortable, rather than afraid of damaging anything. Sue Partington who organizes the lets is always extremely helpful. Snape Maltings is a great place to be based - quiet enough to be relaxing, but with enough things to do in Snape Maltings to keep one gently busy.
Delightful compact accommodation in the grounds of a large house with rich contemporary history. Lack of TV might trouble some guests, but the property has reliable Wi-Fi and one of the bedrooms contains an electric keyboard! Aldeburgh is a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll from the property, offering many different eating options, interesting shops and its atmospheric shingle beach. Although it was pleasantly bustling during our festive visit, I suspect the little coastal gem is thronged with visitors during the summer.
