Outstanding in all respects but the bed was a bit too hard for us. ((Our past two visits we had stayed in the Old Smithy and slept in the twin beds so this was not a problem)
We stayed in The Mews immediately before and following our wedding day at nearby Grangefields. This beautiful location provided us with the perfect, luxurious base for the few days. The little touches from a home baked cake, free range eggs and a bottle of bubbly that we were greeted with, to the warm welcome of the host, to the amazing spacious facilities and hot tub, were all perfect and made our stay extra-special! I was so pleased to finally come at stay at Philippa’s holiday let! We worked out it was 20 years since we had met in Ashbourne and she told me she was going to open her holiday letting. I’m just sorry it took me so long to book. Philippa met my partner and I and our dog when we arrived in Hollington and straight away showed us the paddock for Bobbi (our dog) to run around. Bobs couldn’t contain her excitement when we entered the Old Smithy and Philippa showed us around. We were delighted to see fresh eggs and homemade cake! It was so homely and comfortable.
