We had lovely weather for March, and the private courtyard garden was a beautiful little suntrap and we made the most of the hottub. The Retreat was gorgeous, so tastefully decorated with everything you could need and the bed was very comfy.
Just got back from a wonderful week celebrating a 70th birthday with family – the perfect place to spend time for any special occasion. Welcome cake, eggs and fresh milk a lovely touch, and wife Caron’s birthday fizz a fab surprise. Postcode/direction instructions from Philippa spot-on – can’t understand how other guests can miss the turning off Main Street lol!! Even the Sainsbury’s delivery guy said he found the place easy to find. This visit we stayed in The Old Smithy, (previously stayed multiple times in The Mews). A delightful cottage, very relaxing break, bringing back old memories from previous visits. Each property is finished to a high standard, and gives inspiration for ideas in our own house. Always a warm welcome whenever we visit, and already re-booked for July 2026.
