Outstanding in all respects but the bed was a bit too hard for us. ((Our past two visits we had stayed in the Old Smithy and slept in the twin beds so this was not a problem)
We stayed in The Mews immediately before and following our wedding day at nearby Grangefields. This beautiful location provided us with the perfect, luxurious base for the few days. The little touches from a home baked cake, free range eggs and a bottle of bubbly that we were greeted with, to the warm welcome of the host, to the amazing spacious facilities and hot tub, were all perfect and made our stay extra-special! The Old Smithy was easy to find and on arrival we were greeted by the host Phillipa. Inside the well equiped cottage was a warm welcome with home baked cake. There was plenty of space even though my daughter came loaded with baby equipment! Everything was top notch with a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and quality bedding. The location was very peaceful and ideal as we were attending a family wedding at Grangefields less than 3 miles away. Phillipa was most helpful both before and during our stay. Highly recommended.
