Really nice, comfortable cottage on the outskirts of a very small village. Kitchen well equipped. Beds really comfortable with nice crisp white linen. Thought the bedrooms lacked storage until we found the built in wardrobes in the upstairs hallway. Iron/ironing board also in wardrobes. Provides everything for babies although we did bring our own in the end. Shower pressure really poor and needs new holder for shower head. Facilities eg pool, games room, hot tub, really good. It’s always great to come back to South Coombe Cottages and this was our first stay in Saffi’s Cottage. I think we’ve stayed in every cottage now and the shepherds hut. It’s always so relaxing to come here and there’s plenty to do even when you stay on site. The children enjoyed swimming every day and the pool table etc. I’ve only marked down the condition by 1 as we had to rehang the lounge curtains as they fell down due to the hooks are being brittle. Also please tell Simon if you get a smell in the downstairs shower room as this can be easily rectified. I just blamed it on the cows! Sim...more
Couldn't fault the stay, my son and his family stayed and enjoyed the pool and animals, the play area was good
Handy location for visiting both North and South Devon. Upside down house so lovely views from the living room. Private garden with brand new hot tub. Good to have use of indoor pool on site.
We had another lovely stay at South Coombe. The accommodation is wonderful with stunning countryside views. Clare and Simon are great hosts and the holiday properties are very clean and well maintained.
