Only three miles from the historic town of Pembroke and eight miles from the iconic seaside town of Tenby, this is an ideal location for exploring the outstanding natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
We’ve enjoyed staying at Portclew House over the years, in the lovely Georgian BnB lodge and in most of the self-catering cottages as our needs changed. The property is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds and baths are excellent. Sarah and family are the perfect hosts and we will continue to return with pleasure.
I stayed with my grandchildren, daughter and son in law and there was plenty of room for the children to play.
It is set in a great location with a beautiful beach close by.
Really lovely little cottage in quiet grounds just a 15 mins walk (steep hill) to a very safe beach (no lifeguards) which was great for swimming. The cottage had everything you needed, was clean, functional and just perfect for 2 people. Really quiet place and although you can't see the sea it doesn't matter as you're in the middle of a beautiful part of the country. As I had to do some work remotely the WiFI was brilliant.
A lovely holiday cottage for 2 (although the bed settee would be fine for a child as well), well equipped with great bed and shower.
Heating, should you need it, was responsive and controlled by thermostatic valves on the radiators & towel rail.
Quiet position with car parking near the door. We didn’t use the washing machine or dishwasher so can’t comment.
We would stay again without hesitation.
We enjoyed our stay at the Lower Farmhouse. There were 3 of us and the size was perfect. It was clean and tidy. We didn’t see the hosts which suited us as we just wanted a quiet get away. The weather was pretty stormy but it didn’t matter - when the sun came out there were rainbows! Our Alpaca-trek was cancelled but Pembroke Castle is gorgeous and Tenby is lovely with a very cool Napoleonic fort on the beach. It’s easy to walk down to Freshwater East beach and we had the beach to ourselves.
The kitchen is well equipped and the oven easy to use. There is a TV with enough channels to find somet...more
