The Hen House has has two large bedrooms, one super-king double en-suite bedroom and one triple room. The bathroom is situated on the first floor has a bath with a shower over.

Another great week at the Hen House. Thoroughly enjoy our yearly trip to Pembrokeshire, staying at Portclew holiday cottages. Fantastic location, especially if you enjoy walking, with the beach and cliff walks nearby and conveniently located for visiting the lovely Pembrokeshire coast. Everything you need for your stay is provided, with the additional touch of a thoughtful welcome basket. Thoroughly relaxing and feels like our home from home.

Not for the first time we stayed in the Hen House. We were lucky to get the booking that we got due to the high demand of all of the cottages and rooms. The Hen House was just as expected, clean tidy, with the complimentary cider and Welsh Cakes. We were only booked for three nights, but Sarah and Cheryl got us a room in the main house for a fourth. Had a great time, that is why we come back when we can.

We visited the hen house for the first time back in 2018 ish and after 2 or 3 years returning for our summer holiday decamped to other accommodation as we found the cottage a bit cramped and with 3 kids, 1 bathroom became a bit impractical. We returned this year to find the master bed room had been improved massively with the addition of a super king size bed (very comfortable) and a very generously proportioned en suite which for us was a complete game changer. It's totally transformed the property and made our stay so much more comfortable. Would highly recommend especially if you are a 3 child family. We will be rebooking for next year.

This is our fourth time at the Hen House which tells you how much we enjoy staying there. The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding area and there are some fantastic walks, including the one to Freshwater East beach. The accommodation has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very hospitable and we really appreciated the new addition of a welcome basket of goodies...a very nice touch. We will be back again soon.

The Hen house is a beautiful place to stay in. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. We love the hen nesting boxes in the top bedroom and the cottage was spaciousness s and we'll equipped. Freshwater East is my favourite location too ... absolutely beautiful.

The cottage was clean, homely and had everything we needed for our weekend. The gardens are beautiful and there is ample space to enjoy.
Wonderful location, close to so many beautiful beaches and activities such as Oakwood and Folly Farm.
Looking forward to visiting again, we really didn't want to leave!

We enjoyed a lovely mid week break in our favourite paty of the UK. The Hen House was in a great location for the coastal path, you can walk from the house. It was warm and comfortable, just right. We will use Portclew cottages again.

Owners were helpful and very informative at all times in making our stay very enjoyable considering the issues attached to the current pandemic. Location was fantastic and we enjoyed several days out enjoying the fantastic Pembrokeshire coastline and return to a cosy cottage at the end of each day. Thanks Sarah for your assistance.
