We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
We have stayed in Winterton many times and I can honestly say this has been the best! Beautiful Apartment, very spacious, comfortable and fresh. Nicely situated in the centre of Winterton. The apartment was well equipped for all your needs. We thought we might miss not having a garden but there’s the beach and plenty of grass areas to walk the dog! We will definitely be returning
The cottage is well equipped and spacious. It's near to all amenities and just a few minutes walk from the Dunes and just 5 minutes from the beach. Will definitely be returning. Garden enclosed and not overlooked, dog friendly they loved it!!
Everything about the White House was excellent. The large garden is amazing and the first thing you see as you open the gate. The summerhouse is a lovely place to sit and read (it also contains outdoor games if the weather allows). The conservatory leads to a well equipped kitchen - this is one of two as the ground floor bedroom is a self contained suite off the kitchen with a small kitchen and shower leading to a well setup bedroom with French doors to the garden (and one of the three patio areas). Upstairs every bedroom is lovely. There is a good laundry/utility room off the kitchen with ...more
Lovely place with some nice touches, including welcome pack of local cookies, milk, bread and marmalade. Dog provisions were excellent too, biscuits, bowls and blankets. Plenty of towels and bedding for us if we needed it too! Great location a short walk to a dog friendly beach, where we saw seals on most days. Other wildlife too such as muntjack deer just outside the cottage, grasshoppers and lots of different birds and butterflies. Access to the pool and having wifi in the cottage was a welcome bonus too. Short drive to Great Yarmouth and Hemsby for traditional seaside activities which...more
The chalet was perfect exceedingly well equipped The owners made you feel welcome and did all they could to ensure you had a great holiday which we did
We've stayed here a number of times now and are always extremely pleased with everything. Excellent location for the coast and Broads. The enclosed garden is secure for children and dogs with extra space on the adjacent field. Would highly recommend it.
Natterjacks is beautiful, very clean, with a secure front garden that was ideal for my dogs. Very quiet as it’s within a courtyard, so no traffic noise other than a couple of neighbours cars, which worked well for my noise anxious dog. Few minutes walk along the road to the pub and the beach, or down the back lane to the dunes. Worked well for us except dogs aren’t allowed throughout, which would unfortunately stop me booking again, otherwise it would be my regular spot for my annual Winterton trip. I wish Winterton Cottages made it very clear on every listing where dogs are allowed in each pr...more
Spent a week at April cottage. Pre arrival information was excellent with lots of additional information in relation to the local area. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We didn’t have any need to contact the owner or agents whilst we were there. Happily stay here again.
A beautifully converted barn with everything you could want. Very clean, fresh & modern. Down a little private road, big gated driveway, very private & dog secure garden overlooking open fields. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing & stress free holiday then this is the place for you. Many thanks to Sue & Simon for the lovely welcome package, it was much appreciated.
We had a fantastic stay at Old Church Barn. Such a lovely property in a great location for both countryside walks and the coast. The property was beautiful and the little touch of a welcome basket was really lovely. We will definitely return!
Martin's Nest worked very well for the two of us plus our Golden Retriever. The studio is very well equipped and we did not find anything we needed missing. Diane was her usual exemplary host. This was our first time in Martin's Nest after staying in the neighbouring White House (which is truly lovely). The orientation of the studio in terms of sunlight was excellent, some early morning and then lovely later afternoon into the evening - this helped with the heatwave and direct sunlight. It is easy to get a breeze flowing through the studio too if required. It is worth noting that the stud...more
Having stayed at Rosehearty in both 2025 and 2026 it goes without saying that both accommodation and location are second to none. However, having already considered booking again for 2027 we were shocked at the exorbitant increase in price. An increase of 10% or 20% is expected but over a third increase for the same week next year !!! Probably means we will be holidaying elsewhere
The Hollies is a lovely cottage with everything you need for a self catering stay. It is beautifully located for gentle walks around Winterton-On-Sea and the dunes. Very dog friendly.
Obviously we are very Happy with the property as our recent visit was our sixth in the past 2 years. The owner presents a property of a very high standard with everything one could need. The enclosed garden is perfect for any furry friends you may have along with the adjacent paddock it makes a perfect break.
This is a very nice cottage in a lovely village. The inside of the cottage matches the photographs exactly but unfortunately, the garden photos do not!! We chose the cottage because of the lovely garden but the photos give the wrong impression. It is really untidy with cobwebs and a good sweep needed. The fence , bench and table need repainting. It lacks a few cleaning products; i.e toilet duct.
Lovely house with a fully equipped kitchen. It would be good if a travel cot and highchair could be provided. Lovely garden however with the paddock left overgrown it's very difficult to see any wildlife, one of our dogs chased rabbits and a cat because you carnt see.
Literally just returned from the most wonderful week at Periwinkle Cottage in one of the prettiest villages. Not only is it centrally located to the pub, shops and beach, it is the most homely, welcoming place we have stayed in for a long time. High-quality furnishings and bedding plus the quirky but fabulous wallpapers were to die for! The garden is safe for dogs/children and really a pleasant place to sit and relax. The owner is incredible responsive to any queries you may have too. We will definitely make a return visit there.
Had a fabulous stay at The White House. Greeted warmly by the owner who was very helpful during our stay. The White House is such a delightful and beautiful property, the house was really clean and very well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. It’s in a lovely spot, and the garden was brilliant for the dogs too, which all made for a very relaxing holiday. It’s in a convenient place for visiting lots of local beaches and other attractions with walks to Winterton from the door and I will certainly be recommending it to others.
We stayed at High Barn with our grown up married daughters, our 1 year old grandson, and 3 dogs for a long weekend. Everything about this property is high quality - the furnishings, super comfy beds, hot tub, and the games room was a hit in the evenings (hopefully we weren’t too noisy)!! This barn is huge with plenty of room for the 6 of us and the dogs. Really well equipped kitchen, bits for the dogs and throws to put on the sofas, towels for the hot tubs - they seem to have thought of everything. There’s a great walk across the fields from the house and the dog friendly beaches are only a...more
We stay in Winterton every year and have done for over a decade as we have family there and just love the location. Salty Dogs is such an excellent cottage (described by my husband and children as “best yet in Winterton”), minutes from the beach and a few doors down from the excellent Poppy’s tearoom. Inside it’s clean, spacious and modern. The back yard is relatively small but enough space to sit out there - and the beach walks provide more than enough outdoors time for a dog. The communication before, during and after our stay was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.
Very well equipped property, every you need, great views, lovely garden, right on beach, and good for dog walking.
We wanted a property that was suitable for a person with mobility issues and dogs, and Field barn “ticked the boxes”. Beautifully presented, and in a peaceful location but easily located for beaches, towns and things to do. But ideal for those also looking to switch off and relax. The amount and variation of birds that are around the property was lovely to watch in the garden as were the stunning sunsets. Although the kitchen is well equipped, It would have been good to have a couple more sauce pans and we took an air fryer as this is much easier than putting in hot weather. This would...more
First time we have stayed here. We were impressed with the kitchen/diner back extension. Very spacious and light. With a downstairs toilet, shower and washing machine/tumble dryer room added on. The sitting room was comfy. 2 bedrooms front one with en suite. Back one with two singles pushed together is a bit tight. The stairs are very steep. Dogs are welcome. Back garden is big ! And room for off road car parking is a bonus. We would certainly stay here again .
We loved our stay at Mariner’s Way, good communication from owners Jane & Steve. Then when we walked in, excellent welcome pack and superb amenities, rooms and we loved their garden, so well laid out. We would highly recommend Mariner’s Way. Thank you.
As always nothing to complain about this lovely place, ideally situated in the centre of Winterton easy access to dunes & beach.
Winterton Cottages was recommended to me buy a previous customer. His recommendation was on point. Winterton is a picturesque village with everything you need for a short break. No. 2 Old Chapel Cottages was clean, cosy and just what we were looking for. It contained everything that we could of needed throughout our stay. There was lots of local information available as well as places of interest to vist. We had a lovely time. Thank you
The Cranny was lovely, to have your own garden to be able to chill after a day out. It was spotlessly clean and great location.
Cleveland House was a lovely spacious house ,perfect for a long weekend to get together with our grown up children. Pub literally 3mins walk and a beach perfect for dog walks within 15mins from property. 10 mins drive to see the seals and 20 mins to Yarmouth .
Had a great long weekend at Bulmer Cottage weather was lovely and the cottage was ready on arrival. Very comfortable and equipped. Dogs loved the courtyard garden. Was nice to be able to check out later on the Sunday so no rush to get away.
I was so pleased that we had booked Trinity Cottage. From the outside it has a real Barn look while inside it was spacious, clean and with the light flooding in from the large windows it welcomed you in. The kitchen was short of nothing if you wanted to prepare your own meals. The sofa were soft & comfortable allowing you to have a good read or watch the smart TV. The bed was very much to my liking on the firm side which after a number of walks in and around the village plus our regular route march from Winterton towards Sea Palling we slept very well. Trinity Cottage is a credit to the ow...more
Everything that was needed for a lovely stay was in place.. The welcome hamper was gratefully received
We had a lovely weekend at the old village shop, the cottage was very well equipped. Very quirky with it's two staircases. Very well decorated and clean. They had also left lots of goodies, crisps, sweets and biscuits for us all. The cottage isn't far from the beach at all, we walked every day whilst we were there. The beach is gorgeous and you can enjoy watching the seals too. It's just a short walk from the fish and chips shop and pub. Overall I would highly recommend
Lovely cottage with superb garden, walking distance to beach, shops and pub. Lovely welcome basket, and well stocked equipment
A lovely comfortable bungalow in an excellent position for lovely beach walks and easy access to the local amenities of Winterton on Sea. It has a pretty rear garden that is fully enclosed by a high wall, which is ideal for the dogs. We appreciated the quietness of the bungalow and enjoyed evenings sitting in the garden. A very enjoyable stay, thank you.
Lovely cottage with a great sea view. Great garden for us and the dogs. Muntjac deer came to peer at us through the gate 3 consecutive days. Sea view had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Lots to visit around the area and of course great beaches. This was our second stay here and would stay again. .
The property has the wow factor as soon as you walk upstairs. We were blessed with amazing weather so made full benefit of the balcony, but this would have benefited from an awning or some form of parasol. As far as downstairs was concerned it was a nightmare - it’s advertised sleeping 8, this certainly isn’t the case. 4 adults and 4 children would be a push. You can’t expect adults to sleep in a single room with bunk beds. The two smaller rooms had no room for storage areas so cases had to be left in the hall. Upstairs the bins for recycling were clearly marked, saying replacement bags are l...more
All ok. No hot water for 36 hours. Plumber called and easy fix but inconvenient. Property has everything you need.
5th stay in this chalet Perfect seafront setting Fully equipped kitchen .Lots of dog amd children's toys Table and chairs outside perfect There is a windbreak provided. Tracy is great at communicating Perfect place for dogs amd children. There are steep inclines to and from beach .
Myself, 2 daughters and dog really enjoyed our stay at ‘Winnie Cottage’ last week and will definitely be back! Everything about the cottage was homely. We loved the decor and everyday I would notice something new. I really enjoyed the views and sitting outside in the sunshine. Great location and everything you could ever need was in the cottage. Girls enjoyed having the use of the swimming pool and park too. ‘Winnie’ will always be part of our special memories, thank you.
Our third stay in this well kept bungalow. Nothing to fault. Close proximity to lovely walks, a great pub, the beach and yummy carrot cake from Poppy's Tea Rooms! A great place for a relaxing week away recharging batteries.
The house is in a great location for the beach and amenities. The house is a good size for four people and two dogs with everything you need provided. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The house was tidy but parts could have been cleaned better but then I am very particular. The main down side was that when I booked the holiday it said it had a enclosed, gated court yard which was not the case on arrival as the gate was broken. This meant we had to be extra careful with the dogs. Great little cafe and fish and chip shop opposite the house. We had a lovely time.
Had a brilliant time staying at 1 Old Chapel Cottages again and looking forward to our next visit!..
We had a lovely stay. Sarah, the owner, was kind enough to let us know that we could go in at 3pm rather than 4 the official time. The location is perfect and so central. We will definitely return.
First time in this accommodation at Hemsby. Very comfortable. Particularly enjoyed the private garden and plenty of seating options. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and fresh. Plenty of crockery. Lots of containers/dishes. Juke box a great novelty. Plenty of parking. Two towels plus face cloth per guest - although the bath towels were rather small. Generous sized fridge/freezer. Found one bed with a 13.5 tog duvet, far too hot for the summer particularly with the summer we’ve been having. Lots of blankets/cushions everywhere and lots ...more
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grayling House - the location is excellent as within walking distance of the village and beach (although if you want to take chairs, etc. you would probably want to drive up). The upstairs terrace is a bonus when the weather is good - so lovely to sit amongst the trees. Recommend taking a trip on the Broads and also Ross’s wildlife boat trip from Martham.
Loved the location and being able to see the sea from the house and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. Was great to see the seals on the beach, if you actually walked for about a mile you saw them all laid on the beach so no need to go to horsey gap! House was well equipped with all basic stuff provided! Will definitely return to Winterton on sea!
Excellent cottage to experience the dunes straight out of the back door, short walk to the beach and coastal path and seal view cafe. The cottage is very old and has obviously had a lot of attention to detail to bring it up to the standard required for a very comfortable holiday let. Just needs a little more tlc outside,it was lovely to soak up the sunshine in a lovely secluded secure dog friendly front garden. The owner was quick to respond to a missing coffee machine which was broken and had not been replaced but a new one was delivered the next day so well done Amazon! The cottage is a sho...more
This was our second stay at Sanderlings. We love the style of the house with its mid century interior. The garden is enclosed, perfect for dogs.
We had a lovely time visiting Winterton as a family of three, grandparents and our two dogs. Sea Holly Cottage is in a prime location. About a 30 second walk to the fisherman’s pub, 2 minutes to fish and chips and the village shop and about 5-10 minutes until you are at the sea. Less than 5 minutes to get to the sand dunes. The cottage was well equipped, beds and sofa were comfy and everywhere was very clean. It was nice and cosy, and felt quite ‘lived in’ as there was lots of items decorating the house. We had an issue with locking the door (our own fault) as we only had one key but the owner...more
