Cottage was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need and such a lovely location. My second visit to Winterton on Sea and wasn’t disappointed. Garden secure for dogs. Lovely dog friendly beach just a few minutes drive away. Poppy Tearoom in village is a must to visit.

We have stayed here a few times now and everything is what you would wish for in a holiday cottage. In fact, it is very much a home from home. The location is very peaceful and the large enclosed garden is excellent for children and dogs. The owners have paid attention to providing a very high standard of furnishings and equipment to make the stay very comfortable. We can thoroughly recommend this property.
Diane was great at letting me know the little things needed even before we arrived at The White House. The home was very easy to find and on arrival we were not disappointed, the welcome brownies went down a treat. The house was clean, well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds were lovey and my cocker spaniel loved roaming them. I honestly couldn’t fault the stay or the house and the location was excellent and we went to see the seal pups along the beach that was a very close walk. The local pub was pricey (and I come from London) but it done lovely food and the atmosp...more

Fabulous location, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped cosy cottage. Stayed twice now and will definitely be returning again. Its 5 mins to beach, pub, fish and chips shop, tea room and shop. We love April.cottage and dogs are welcome too.
From the gated driveway to the red tipped hedges of the enclosed garden, this property is a gem. This is the first time we have stayed at Amity House in Winterton. There were two of us plus one dog and it is an ideal home for a comfy stay - such a great location to access all that Winterton has to offer. Great off road parking which is great in this village. The home is well thought out and planned. It's spotless on arrival with a lovely welcome hamper with enjoyable goodies. It is well equipped throughout, welcoming and homely. The garden is enclosed and safe for a dog; accessed easily through the french doors onto the patio. The owners are really helpful and their communication ...more
We stayed here in October 2025 and loved it so much we returned for February half term. We had yet another wonderful stay. Both stays the weather has been bitterly cold and the house has been lovely and warm. Immaculate and comfortable as before. This time I brought my parents with me and they loved the house too. My dad has slightly reduced mobility so this place was perfect for him. The dog enjoyed watching the rabbits running around the garden but thankfully they didn't appear when we went off out for our walks. We look forward to another stay soon :)
We loved the house. Secure garden for the dogs, 30 seconds to the dunes, off road parking and all rooms were a good size and comfortable. We are planning to go back!
Robins Rest is small but has absolutely everything you need. It is exceptionally clean and everything has been well thought out to make your stay more comfortable. The welcome pack is an added bonus. I wish we’d have gone earlier in the year when we could have enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the evening. It’s a quiet relaxing location with beaches a short distance away and a National Trust sight just down the road. Dunes cafe is a great place to stop dog friendly and lovely food.
The owners have really excelled in providing their guests with 5* accommodation. Every thing has been thought of. Light and airy rooms, enclosed garden and courtyard for our dogs and seating area for us to enjoy a nice glass of wine Heating and hot water always available soft towel’s and the beds where so cosy and comfortable Local walks and a shop just a stroll away. With the beach All the things a holiday is about. One of the best places we have been to Thanks Sue and Simon Will definitely be returning
We were celebrating a family birthday with 3 generations. The barn is pure luxury from the hot tub to the games room. We took our 2 dogs and enjoyed some lovely walks. Everything has been thought of, the bedrooms were all lovely and the suite at the top was outstanding. It’s in a great location making it easy to go places, Wroxham, Yarmouth, Stalham & Potter Higham.
The Hollies is well presented and provides all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. It is in a quiet & friendly neighbourhood with easy walking distance to local shop, post office/cafe, fish & chip shop & dog friendly Pub. We will definitely return.
Had a fabulous stay at The White House. Greeted warmly by the owner who was very helpful during our stay. The White House is such a delightful and beautiful property, the house was really clean and very well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. It’s in a lovely spot, and the garden was brilliant for the dogs too, which all made for a very relaxing holiday. It’s in a convenient place for visiting lots of local beaches and other attractions with walks to Winterton from the door and I will certainly be recommending it to others.
We were so pleased with our stay at Tremeer, the property looks lovely from the outside and just as good inside. The rooms are very spacious, a well fitted kitchen, the main bedroom is large and the super king size bed very comfy. The garden is surprisingly large for a holiday home, great for dogs especially as it totally enclosed. We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to going back.
We came down for my birthday! 5 adults 6 dogs! Sounds like it should have been crazy but it was just heaven! The garden is plenty big enough and a gorgeous quiet setting! The paddock behind the garden is great for high energy dogs! The rooms were cosy and very comfortable! It’s a 2 minute walk from the pub in the village which serves great food! We can’t wait to come again!
Great Barn, luxurious and spacious. Everything u need and great for dogs. Beds were very comfortable, hot tub was lovely. Definitely would come again
Perriwinkle cottage is beautiful, and thoughtfully laid out with everything for comfort and what you need to make it a home from home whilst away. The host Jan is on hand if needed and left some lovely welcome goodies including champagne for New Years eve, with a welcome note. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and were a stones throw from the beach for long winter walks and the Fishermans Return, it was a complete switch off. The garden is also 100% secure for dogs and safe, which is a piece of mind when you have an escape artist Beagle. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely book in the futu...more
Eva’s lookout is the most perfect location behind the dunes and overlooking coast. Lovely clean, spacious house with a real wow factor! Great responsive hosts and very close to the beach with its own private path to the beach.
As always nothing to complain about this lovely place, ideally situated in the centre of Winterton easy access to dunes & beach.
We stayed with six adults, two young children and a toddler, plus two dogs. Lots of room for all of us. We particularly liked the spacious dining room and table. The hot tub was an added bonus for us as well. The lounge gave us all space to sit and enough floor space for dogs and children. The kitchen worked well, we did a lot of cooking and the generous fridge space (one fridge/freezer plus a freezer and a tall fridge) was a bonus and kept everything cool. Lots of beach equipment too.
We had seen this cottage on previous visits to Winterton on Sea and this time stayed here. All I can say is ‘Wow’ it lived up to and exceeded expectations. Everything about this cottage was perfect to the point I could live in it. The garden is beautiful and secure. We have booked again before leaving, I think that says it all.
What a gorgeous place. Everything was excellent in the cottage and the position was perfect, to sit in the conservatory and listen to the sea was heavenly. Can’t fault anything and we will definitely be returning.
Ideal location, perfect being adjacent to beech Seemingly everything though of that we might need Would use again
Lovely cottage - very comfortable and spacious for family of 4. Well equipped and well situated for walks to beach, shop and pub. We will definitely be back!
My friend and I and 2 x dogs went to Mariners Way Winterton for a short break. The property was excellent well equipped and spotless. Excellent location to beaches for doggie walks, a very dog friendly village with excellent pub The Fishermans Retuen. Coffee shop and local shop everything you could want. Easy distance to Grear Yarmouth and beyond. Highly recommend and hope.one day to return.
Amazing location with all the essentials provided. A nice touch was the wine and chocolates along with milk in the fridge and plenty off tea and coffee not forgetting the complimentary biscuits. All little things that made you feel very welcome. The local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the Fisherman's Return pub and fish and chip shop. The sand dunes again are only a few minutes walk away which we loved and due to the time of year of our visit we were able to see the lovely seals. The only thing we thought could be improved in the property was the shower other than that a lovely cott...more
The property is very clean and new looking. On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The attention to detail is very impressive at this property from the dog cupboard which included medicines to the binoculars to view the fantastic sea view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Outside is great for relaxing and enjoying the views with plenty of comfy seating areas
The old village shop is lovely, in an excellent location, great that you have a shop, pub, chip shop & a couple of cafes just minutes away & of course the beach. The house had everything we needed & was very comfortable for us & our two dogs, we walked a lot & never went out in the car all weekend a real bonus. We would love to stay there again.
Great property in a great location in the village. Everything you needed in the property. Very spacious and great layout. Central heating although took a while to heat up but once warm very cosy!
The house was excellent, the downstairs layout made it perfect for a family trip as it was basically open plan (perfect for our Christmas getaway). The finish in the house was also excellent with good quality furniture and equipment throughout. The pub is seconds away and the beach/dunes just a few minutes stroll. Highly recommend.
We have been coming to Winterton over the past 20 years . Salty Dogs was by far our best accommodation. Wonderful location, beautiful cottage with all amenities you could possibly need and two sun trap courtyards. We would definitely recommend and will be coming back later in the year. Oh and lovely wine. crisps and biscuits waiting for us on arrival . much appreciated
Situated in a quiet cul de sac with easy access to the beach, pubs, etc. Lovely property, ticking all the boxes.
A beautiful barn. Very clean, well equipped and very cosy. Perfect location to visit the surrounding area.
Lovely property in an excellent location. We found the sofas a little too hard to remain comfortable for long.
The Net house is a lovely place to stay. In quiet road. A short walk from the dunes, The beach is more of a walk. The house is equipped with everything you need. It is furnished very well indeed. Throws are provided to place on the sofas if you have a dog. We really enjoyed our stay at The Net house and book to come back.
This was our second visit to Rose cottage .The fact that we returned is testament to how much we like the place. Its handy for everything in the village and only a short walk to the beach and the nature reserve. We will be back again no doubt.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crossways cottage. The location is excellent for everything in Winterton on Sea. Poppys and the chip shop were both very good and the Fisherman’s return Sunday carvery was exceptional. The cottage itself is very homely and a lot of thought has gone into it. The garden is dog friendly and the patio set is perfect to make the most of the sun as it’s quite sheltered. We only had a few very minor issues - only one toilet roll so had to buy some, no bottle opener that we could find and the shower was a bit low for the tall members of the family. The winde...more
A sea view was very important to me and every thing in the chalet was very clean and tidy. I was unable to get down to the beach do to age.
Comfortable property in good location we have stayed at this property several times and enjoy visiting Winterton on Sea
We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Winnie it had everything we could have needed (and more) for a short break away with our two black labs. I loved the decor and all the various lamps making it feel very cosy and it smelt so nice when you first came in, we ended up sleeping in the back bedroom as that bed was much firmer. The location is just perfect for the beach and dunes walks, also close to the pub Fishermans Return which was really good, delicious fish pie. We would love to return next year
Cleanliness Downstairs floors were filthy on arrival- day one - everyone's socks were black from the floors. Whole house had to be swept and mopped to make habitable on our first morning. Kitchen utensils, glasses, cups and saucers were all dirty. This was the same case for glass and breakfast bowls. All filthy, from dirty Finger-marks to residue from previous usage. Everything we wanted to use had to be washed first in order to make it hygienic enough to use. Oven baking trays and frying pans have little or no non-stick left on them due to metal utensils provided, all very dirty again, som...more
Loved the location and being able to see the sea from the house and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. Was great to see the seals on the beach, if you actually walked for about a mile you saw them all laid on the beach so no need to go to horsey gap! House was well equipped with all basic stuff provided! Will definitely return to Winterton on sea!
3 of us stayed with 3 dogs for a week. The house was immediately home for all of us. It is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The location is unbeatable and the walking from the door is stunning. We loved Winterton on Sea and our little corner of it for the week.
A beautiful thatched cottage in a prime location, opposite the dog friendly village pub, that has been extended to provide a lovely restaurant, without losing the old part of the pub, all being dog friendly. The fish and chip shop, post office, cafe and convenience store are around the corner. ( Check fish and chip shop opening hours ) The dunes and beach are in walking distance, but a car park is also available at the Dunes cafe area, these cafes provide a good assortment of menus and drinks. The cottage is very clean and provides anything you would need. It is obviously the owners pri...more
