Barry and Michelle were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The chalet exceeeded our expectation as was just perfect from the cleaniness to the location. If you are looking for a high standard, peaceful getaway this is the place. Plenty of amenties within walkig distance to the site and Hembsy town was only 10 mins walk along the coastal path. We will defintely be back in the future 10/10.
We are very happy that we chose this holiday home. It’s a very clean, modern & bright refurbished chalet that has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Somewhere that you can easily stay in at on a rainy day. Definitely going to return!
Beautiful cottage and in an excellent location. Short walk to the dunes and beach and just across from the excellent village pub. A fabulous place to stay, the owners have thought of everything. Can’t wait to return.
A really perfect cabin, comfortable and cosy. Superb location right by the beach! Peaceful and calm! Winterton-on-sea has all we need - cafes, chippy, pub and shop! Seeing the seals on the beach was an event checked off our bucket list - very special to see xx We will defo be returning in the future x
The old stable is a fantastic place to stay in Norfolk. Super clean, garden is huge, and only minutes away from local beaches. The decor inside is very tastefully done, beds very comfortable, lounge and dining areas very spacious. Highly recommended
Diane was great at letting me know the little things needed even before we arrived at The White House. The home was very easy to find and on arrival we were not disappointed, the welcome brownies went down a treat. The house was clean, well equipped and the beds were extremely comfortable. The grounds were lovey and my cocker spaniel loved roaming them. I honestly couldn’t fault the stay or the house and the location was excellent and we went to see the seal pups along the beach that was a very close walk. The local pub was pricey (and I come from London) but it done lovely food and the atmosp...more
Really great place to stay. Hard to find fault but might need a maths degree to understand the microwave.
A lovely modern converted barn. Immaculate condition. Well equipped. High tech appliances. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Very tidy safe garden for our dog. Would like to be there is summer to use the smart outside furniture and enjoy the views. Highly recommended.
we loved our stay at April Cottage in January 2026. The cottage was lovely, location great, snow was amazing and we saw so many seals!! A real break and we will return soon.
We had such a lovely winter break at Natterjack Cottage. We were treated to beautiful snowy scenery on our first morning there and the dogs absolutely loved their walks through the village and onto the snowy dunes. The cottage was immaculate and the kitchen was very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything you might need for your stay from binoculars, picnic rugs and backpack, to doggie name tags, towels, blankets and bedside torches. The cottage is very cosy with the added bonus of a woodburner in the central room to keep you toasty. The cottage has been renovated to a very high s...more
We had a wonderful stay at Martins nest We were greeted on arrival by Diane the owner who informed us about the cottage and garden and showed us around very welcoming lovely lady There was everything you needed to start your stay including milk and some delicious brownies which were very welcome The cottage is beautifully presented and has a comfortable bed and all home comforts Located well for a walk to the beach and a private garden to relax in which we did thank you for a restful visit see you next year!
We had an amazing stay at High Barn celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday and the new year. Everything was of such a high standard and the kitchen was so well equipped. We loved the hot tub and the games room and enjoyed playing the board games that were left for us to enjoy. The welcome pack was great as were all the little touches like toys, blankets and biscuits for our dog. Thank you so much, we would love to return.
We all loved our stay at the Cleveland house, a very spacious, comfortable and a well maintained property. The beds and linen were very comfortable. Plenty of mugs, glasses, pans, crockery and utensils, we cooked a large roast dinner on New Year’s Day with no problem and enjoyed it in comfort around the spacious dining table. The local pub/restaurant The Fishermans retreat was a cozy atmosphere and very welcoming, the local store was well stocked, all the locals were very friendly. Rachel the host was very informative, and we will definitely be booking again. Many thanks Winterton cottage...more
This is the first time we have stayed at Rosehearty and it was a delight. The house is perfect, beautiful view and everything you could possibly need in a holiday home. I love the fact that they have a little book for you to write any issues so they can get things fixed! What a great idea! The bedrooms are clean and super comfy, plenty of room for us & our family. The house is also lovely and warm. When we stayed, the weather was bitterly cold but the house was cozy & warm. All of the bedlinen is clean & soft, we have stayed in a lot of places and even in luxury places and bedlinen is somethin...more
Robins Rest is small but has absolutely everything you need. It is exceptionally clean and everything has been well thought out to make your stay more comfortable. The welcome pack is an added bonus. I wish we’d have gone earlier in the year when we could have enjoyed sitting out in the garden in the evening. It’s a quiet relaxing location with beaches a short distance away and a National Trust sight just down the road. Dunes cafe is a great place to stop dog friendly and lovely food.
Amity is a fab house to visit for a relaxing break It's central location made it perfect for us well maintained accommodation with all home from home comforts the off road parking is safe and secure &the enclosed garden perfect for dogs.
Lovely little place, Everything you could need at the cottage, very cosy, 5mins walk from shop beach pub ect. There's a small village walk. Only criticism is there was so many 'useful' things no where to put our own stuff! 2 extra chests of draws In the wardrobe plus other stuff, made it hard to hang things, food cupboard was full of scent sticks , prob could of gone under sink! Mattress comfy but will need update soon. Other than that smashing stay, Cottage had interesting bit of history , and big storage space, laundry room outside if needed and nice little table back and front. Ni...more
Old Church Barn was such a lovely location for us to stay with our two staffies Nala & Luna. The walks are absolutely gorgeous & can walk for miles. The accommodation itself was lovely & was greeted by a lovely welcome basket & was very clean. Everything had such a lovely touch to it & a lot of thought gone into the modernisation of this property & has the home from home feel to it. Will definitely stay again next year couldn't have asked for a better holiday home to explore Winterton on Sea.
A perfect week. Fantastic location accommodation. Home from home . Spotlessly clean . Excellent facility’s .excellent facilities for the dogs .looking forward to another stay .
Fantastic house in a quiet location - but walkable to beach and pub. The house itself was spotless and ideally suited to 2 friends - with room for us to have our own space when needed. Enclosed terrace at the back - bedrooms open directly onto this - great for the dog - also had a hose connected for washing him down after walk. I would say from the dog's perspective this was the only negative! Great support from the office when we contacted them. Not related to the property but EV charging was slightly tricky. Not a bit deal at all, but ability to connect car at the property would be a ...more
We were so pleased with our stay at Tremeer, the property looks lovely from the outside and just as good inside. The rooms are very spacious, a well fitted kitchen, the main bedroom is large and the super king size bed very comfy. The garden is surprisingly large for a holiday home, great for dogs especially as it totally enclosed. We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to going back.
Perriwinkle cottage is beautiful, and thoughtfully laid out with everything for comfort and what you need to make it a home from home whilst away. The host Jan is on hand if needed and left some lovely welcome goodies including champagne for New Years eve, with a welcome note. We had a fantastic relaxing stay and were a stones throw from the beach for long winter walks and the Fishermans Return, it was a complete switch off. The garden is also 100% secure for dogs and safe, which is a piece of mind when you have an escape artist Beagle. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely book in the futu...more
The Barn was extremely well equipped and furnished to a very high standard and Thomas the owner was extremely helpful. He had bought classy Christmas decorations which gave the barn a great atmosphere. Excellent 1m dog walk to the beach and plenty of inland walks at your doorstep too. Excellent lunch in The Star at Lessingham.
Eva’s lookout is comfortable, cosy and well equipped for your stay away .It has everything you need to be able to cook should you wish to . The views from the living room and balcony are absolutely stunning and only a short walk to the beach and plenty of seals curious as to what you are doing.
Superb accommodation with everything you need, in an ideal location. Very comfortable. Lovely secure garden. Fabulous welcome pack. Would highly recommend.
Mariners Way was a perfect bungalow in a perfect place. We really enjoyed our stay and were sorry to have to leave at the end of the week. The place was spotlessly clean, the kitchen had all the equipment we needed for cooking, the lounge was really comfortable and we were pleased to find that it had a decent size tv (not many places do !!) The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of storage, the bathroom was lovely and modern with a great size walk in shower. The garden is a nice size and is completely dog friendly, being December it was only the dog who made good use of it but i...more

The village has everything you need Pub, Shop, Post Office/Tea Room and Fish & Chip shop, Beachcomber a lovely equipped property with everything that you need for your stay this is the 3rd time we have stayed here and we will be booking again.
The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, well-equipped and totally safe and practical for your dog. The location is perfect - dune walks nearby and the beautiful beach and clear sea just beyond that. The area is so quiet and peaceful - even the seagulls were quiet. We had a wonderful time - especially as I was recovering from surgery.
We love coming to Beachview. Always clean and comfortable although I think the sofa needs replacing. Onsuite bathroom we did not use on this stay as it smells very musty. Everything is was amazing. Would like to see discounts for regular guests the only reason im not booking for Easter but looking forward for July
Amazing location with all the essentials provided. A nice touch was the wine and chocolates along with milk in the fridge and plenty off tea and coffee not forgetting the complimentary biscuits. All little things that made you feel very welcome. The local shop is a few minutes walk away as is the Fisherman's Return pub and fish and chip shop. The sand dunes again are only a few minutes walk away which we loved and due to the time of year of our visit we were able to see the lovely seals. The only thing we thought could be improved in the property was the shower other than that a lovely cott...more
The property is very clean and new looking. On arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome basket. The attention to detail is very impressive at this property from the dog cupboard which included medicines to the binoculars to view the fantastic sea view. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need. Outside is great for relaxing and enjoying the views with plenty of comfy seating areas
Stylish cottage, spotlessly clean and providing everything needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent bathrooms with powerful showers. As others have observed, the staircase to the second bedroom might be a bit steep for some but the arrangements were perfect for us as a couple. An easy walk to the centre of the village and the beach.
Stayed for 3 nights in late October. We found the bungalow pleasant and reasonably kitted out. The location is perfect - 2 mins from the local pub, 5 mins from the shop, cafe and and play park and a 15 walk to the beach. We had 2 cars but only off road parking for 1. We had 3 young children in our party but unlike other Winterton rentals we've used, there were no children's books, toys, games, etc. However, we had a lovely stay and will return to Sunny View next year.
We had another wonderful new year experience at Pebblelight. An exciting selection of goodies to welcome us, a snug, warm interior, comfortable beds plus everything our dogs could wish for. We even had plenty of snow which made the beautiful scenery absolutely stunning.
The house was excellent, the downstairs layout made it perfect for a family trip as it was basically open plan (perfect for our Christmas getaway). The finish in the house was also excellent with good quality furniture and equipment throughout. The pub is seconds away and the beach/dunes just a few minutes stroll. Highly recommend.
A beautiful barn. Very clean, well equipped and very cosy. Perfect location to visit the surrounding area.
We stayed for a week at the Old Village Shop house which is a quirky and unusual property full of character and charm. There is even a facade on the outside which is a delight to see plus the history of the home is provided. Lovely warm house, plenty of hot water, great large shower and everything and more you could need for a great stay. Parking on front drive which is great (so often properties don't have private parking) and a short walk to the dunes and beach. Responsive, caring and friendly owners (booked through Winterton Cottages). Definitely recommend.
It’s in the title! Garden is amazing. Beautifully kept and a delight to enjoy. Appreciated by all of the family. Amazing walks straight from the house. Would love to come again.
Saltydogs is wonderfully located right in the centre 5 minutes from the beach, the shop and the pub! Tastefully decorated with some lovely features. Quality furnishings like windows, flooring, decor. The owners are excellent hosts and very responsive. Spacious bedrooms. The cottage is lovely and warm, the welcome pack was also great. The only negatives for me, and this is a personal preference is the soft memory foam mattress having spinal issues. My doggy wouldn’t toilet in the paved garden but again not a negative for most. I think the elderly and young children would struggle...more
Comfortable, centre of village, clean, all necessary kitchen equipment. Very near the dunes. We will stay again, recommend to everyone.
Lovely comfortable, clean house, locals were friendly ,good pub a short walk away ,short walk to the beach , what more do you need . Highly recommended
Stayed at The Net House for Christmas and it was a great choice. The house is very comfortable with everything you need and was decorated very nicely for Christmas. It’s in a nice position down a quiet lane and very close to the dunes so some great walks straight from the door. Lots of Seals on the dunes this time of year. Communication with the owners was very good and the welcome basket was very nice. Would love to stay again.
We found Rose Cottage to be just what we needed for a 4 night break. Warm and clean on our arrival. With Christmas tree and decorations up. Beds and bedding extremely comfortable. Plenty of crockery, glasses and cooking equipment etc. Fabulous woodburner (although we did have to clean the door in order to see the flames ). A small supply of logs etc but we had taken our own as well. The Fish and chip shop opposite was excellent. The local shop not much further away had all we needed and not particularly over priced. I note it is for sale but selfishly hope it doesn't s...more
A sea view was very important to me and every thing in the chalet was very clean and tidy. I was unable to get down to the beach do to age.
Lovely accommodation conveniently situated in centre of the village. Highlights were the bathroom with very large bath and power showers and the lounge was very welcoming. Great to rent a cottage with a wood burner where a good supply of logs were available which is not always the case in such properties. Nice welcome pack which was appreciated. Bath towels were provided but quite small for men so would suggest bath sheets in future. All in all nice place to stay
We throughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Winnie it had everything we could have needed (and more) for a short break away with our two black labs. I loved the decor and all the various lamps making it feel very cosy and it smelt so nice when you first came in, we ended up sleeping in the back bedroom as that bed was much firmer. The location is just perfect for the beach and dunes walks, also close to the pub Fishermans Return which was really good, delicious fish pie. We would love to return next year
This cottage was in amazing location right on the dunes. The front garden is enclosed and great for the dogs. It was an extremely peaceful location few minutes walk to local shop cafe and pub and fish and chips . Few minutes walk to see the amazing beach with the seals and their pups a beautiful sight. The cottage was cosy warm and well equipped. The appliances were easy to use. A great welcome pack for people and dogs who could stay free of charge. Dog blankets bowls etc Improvements ,: The shower had quite a low water flow. The kitchen equipment could do with upgrading the pans et...more
Very nice cottage and a good location. Cosy and great amenities near by. Highlights were the post office coffee shop and fisherman’s return and walks along the dunes.
