The view alone would be worth twice the money. The accommodation is madly retro and quite charming. The cleanliness was superb. Everyone was very friendly and it was a very pleasant experience, one which I hope to repeat soon.

The house is lovely, clean and spacious. It can easily fit a group of 12. It literally has everything you need. It never felt like a hotel, it feels like you are a guest in someones house, someone who actually lives there on a daily basis. Even the sheep in the area wore very nice as they all look at you when you want to take a picture. I gladly recommend this house, and we will definitely look into going back soon.

I went to Pekes with my family and friends including grandchildren for my 60th birthday and from start to finish we had an absolutely fabulous time. We loved the house itself and the grounds. The children found things to occupy themselves with for 3 days and there was a lovely local pub just over a mile away. The house was equipped with all that we needed and accommodated us (17) all with no problem. Deffinetly worth a stay and we would love to go again.

We had a great stay here. The house is cosy, very warm and great linen. Although the furnishings are not modern, the house was well equipped with all we needed, there was plenty of hot water and the heating worked. The internet did not work but we were given access to another cottage so we managed. It was great that our dog was welcome and we enjoyed the country walks nearby. The kids loved being able to swim in the pool too. Having just studied the Victorian era at school, our 8 year old was intrigued to stay in a Victorian cottage. Thanks.

Lovely old house with bags of charm and really welcoming for a big group of families and friends. The Pekes staff were really friendly and welcoming on hand to answer our annoying questions. Amazing location in beautiful grounds and near many great walks and sights. It rained a lot during our stay but we didn't mind curling up in front of the wonderful open fire looking out to the fields beyond. The pool was a great bonus and there is a pub nearby. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely lounge area and side garden to the house, with a modern kitchen but unusual bathroom arrangement. Main bedroom is gorgeous, but a long trek to the toilet! Would recommend this area for a family booking, as the 6 beds include 2 singles, with no privacy.
