We wanted a dog friendly quiet property to act as a base for us to explore an area that we had usually just driven past on our way to and from Devon and Cornwall and this property proved to be an excellent choice. The facilities on the site for laundry and exercising the dog were really well thought through and helped make our stay a pleasure. We enjoyed exploring the local woodland and the national trusts property along the nearby limestone ridge and Crook Hill. Enjoyed some good lunches in Wells and Cheddar. Great fresh fish and cheese at Wells market. For anyone interested in wi...more
We had a fantastic stay in the Bakehouse. It was comfy, cosy & the attention to detail was excellent! Soft lighting, gentle music & an ambient temperature will great you as you step into this beautiful cottage & not forgetting the homemade cake - delicious! Upon arrival there was milk, tea & coffee. Logs for the log burner, in abundance & the brilliant fire starters were a complete asset - even the most novice fire starter will get it going very easily with those. Upstairs there is the most comfortable king size bed, with lovely crisp white bedding. It’s so quiet you’ll have no trouble sleep...more
I booked 2 cottages at Home Farm for a family get together and we stayed 3 nights over a weekend. It was fantastic. We had 2 small dogs with us and they enjoyed the fields. The cottages were warm and welcoming and we met up in the larger cottage (Granary) as there were 8 of us. It was our third stay in Frys Barn and we love it. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which allows a bathroom for each bedroom. The cottages are always clean and there is always a welcome.
The cottage was beautifully furnished and clean. Very well stocked kitchen for cooking Christmas dinner and having the benefit of two fridges in the cottage. Mike was extremely helpful and there was a lovely homemade cake on arrival. We were also able to check in earlier on Christmas Eve to get sorted. Lily my daughters dog, really enjoyed being able to go straight out in the morning to the secure garden. It was nice on Boxing day to get down to the beach and a good walk up to Glastonbury Tor. We thoroughly recommend staying here even if you don’t have a dog! Thank you for a great Christ...more
Booked Scrumpy cottage for a weekend away for our wedding anniversary and what a fabulous little cottage it was. So cozy, and warm, the owner had thought of everything, even to Alexa playing when we went in. Gorgeous homemade cake was a lovely little extra, very clean and comfortable, would definitely recommend.
