My husband and I enjoyed the cosy bakehouse with all the home comforts and real fire. We were greeted by Mike and his lovely 2 dogs with welcome starter of cake, tea coffee and milk. Good walking straight from the house and lots of recommendations helped guide us on things to do and to great local pubs. Covid restrictions all managed very well so felt safe. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Hayloft is a lovely little cottage in such a beautiful setting. In fact of all the cottages it was probably the best situated as it had an unobstructed view down the garden of the Mendip hills. The cottage is on Home Farm (not a working farm) and the grounds are very tidy and well kept. The cottage had everything we needed in it and the owner had obviously put a lot of thought into what guests would require. It was very clean and nicely furnished. We especially liked the super king size bed, which was very comfortable. When we arrived all the windows were open (it was a lovely sunny day...more
The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed, the private courtyard and grounds were all stunning and gave us a peaceful place to relax. Mike was on hand if needed and nothing was too much trouble. The area has so much to do and see - a lot of which is from the doorstep. We had a wonderful break and hope to visit again.
Our group of six adults had a very relaxing long weekend at Granary cottage. The cottage has been furnished and maintained to a high standard and is very well equipped. The kitchen/diner is an excellent space with the added bo...more
We enjoyed our second stay in Scrumpy cottage, which was cosy, clean and welcoming. All our needs ( and the two dogs needs) were provided for. It was so easy first thing in the morning just taking them into the paddock and there are lovely walks nearby. Facilities in Winscombe village are also excellent, with handy shops, cafes and a pleasant pub. The only criticism really was that the winter duvet was rather hot in early September. However we have already booked again for next year.
