The cottage is very cosy and warm. Well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Walks to Carsington among other places are available from the door step. The sauna and hot tub perfect. Huge comfy bed, and a great shower with toiletries. Worth noting perhaps that the only pub in the village or within walking distance closes for the month of January. We realised in advance and stopped at M&S on the way and ate in every night.
This charming and excellently appointed cottage in the rural village of Kirk Ireton was the perfect base for exploration of this part of the Peak District. The decor and furnishings were contemporary but with a unique custom made traditional feel, we were very comfortable. The master bed was a major design statement being a pretty large and superbly crafted homage to a four poster but with a robust contemporary twist. Not to be missed!
