We had a great family celebration for my mother-in-law’s 80 birthday at this amazing property. The location was everything we had hoped for and the facilities entertained all. The table football was a particular success.
We rented Jack’s Barn and Deerleap and found the accommodation was of an excellent standard for our group of 13. We loved the decor, it was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped for catering for a large group. The swimming pool was lovely and warm and we had a great evening in the cinema room. The location is beautiful with plenty of outside space for the children to roam .
We were in Bristol for our son’s wedding and Jacks Barn was a perfect base for us being very close to the wedding venue. It suited our multi generational party very well especially my 96 year old mother who was delighted to have a downstairs bedroom and own wet room. Everyone was comfortable and slept well. Our only regret was not being able to make full use of the facilities, ie the swimming pool, as our weekend was quite hectic. A nice touch to have a welcome hamper with local produce. Would highly recommend Jacks Barn and would definitely stay again.
Sadly the weather was dreadful on the Saturday but that gave the older members of the party a chance to light the fire and be lazy! The younger members took full advantage of the swimming pool which everyone said was wonderful. The beds were all extremely comfortable and the decor was quite quirky but interesting. The grounds were all immaculate, and the younger members enjoyed the games room. Some people had a bit of bother finding Lilycombe Farm. The ‘goody’ box was very welcome but would have liked some teabags in it. All in all I would definitely recommend staying at Lilycombe Farm.
