That location and this cottage represents the soul of the Connemara. Use of a wood stove makes part of this life near the nature. We met the mountain shape and the white Connemara poney any moment of the day. It was a surprise , the demonstration of a sheep shearing. Our son did a small practice. We were witnesses of the contract between the roughness of the mountains and the intensity of the cloud sky. We encourage this cottage who search roughness , pure nature and absolute silence.
8 of us stayed in this beautiful cottage looking over the ocean. The cottage is fully equipped from towels and bowls to a mop and a bbq! Beautiful house and an excellent host. The house is located in a scenic location, 2 minutes away from the nearest shop, and 10 minutes from the nearest town. Would recommend it to everyone!
Excellent cottage. Very comfortable with all of the required amenities for a family of 5. A true home from home. Second year there and booked for next year. Enough said.
The location was perfect, the apartment was clean and had everything that we needed. It was warm and cosy. Can't recommend highly enough.
Cottage 129 in Cashel was a wonderful find! It is super clean and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, it is warm and very spacious. A perfect place to relax and forget about the world! It is also very well located and close to the main roads as well as lots of attractions in the area. The owner is wonderful with second to none customer service. We can't wait to be back!
A stunning cottage in immaculate condition. Wonderful hosts who have their guests comfort as a top priority. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is particularly well suited to those with younger kids-we have 4 kids all under 6 who loved the place and had a fantastic time.
Beautiful location, great Cottage, kind owners direcly next door. All the things you must see in Conemara are max 45 - 50 minutes drive away. A really stunning place! Roundstone offers all you need, from petrol, little grocery store to pubs. Don't miss oysters and Guinnes at O'Dowd's.
We ( 1 couple 1 single) stayed in this delightful cottage for 9 days at the beginning of September 2016. It is as described on the website and in the pictures, fully equipped, 3 en-suite bedrooms, eat-in kitchen, homely, cosy, and with beautiful sea views. Josephine, the owner, had placed fresh flowers and a bottle of wine to greet us on our arrival, and was extremely helpful. The cottage is on the famous Sky Road and a few minutes walk brings you to some magnificent views. In the other direction, the buzzing little town of Clifden, with its impressive collection of shops, restaurants and pu...more
I can't praise this house enough. It is located in open countryside near the sea and about 10 minutes drive from Renvyle and about 15 minutes from Letterfrack. The views of the sea and the surrounding countryside are beautiful. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The house was spotlessly clean, well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. We recommend this house unreservedly and would be delighted to visit again. Thanks!
nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Clifden. L'appart est super, un grand séjour lumineux,4 chambres, 3 sdb. L'appart est situé en plein centre de Cfifden, parfait pour aller au resto le soir.
This comfortable, welcoming home is in an incredibly beautiful location. Cleggan and its residents were wonderful. We cannot wait to book again!
We had a very nice stay. The house was very nice and confortable, the owner woman was very friendly. The next time we will be more time. Thank you very much
OK so yes it is all about the view and what a view. But this cottage also has excellent facilities and a quality finish in a perfect location. Decent broadband also available although not stated in the description. Only 3 other properties with it at the end of Aughrus point and the week we were there they were all empty. So we had the whole place to ourselves, absolutely magical.
We are a motorcycle group 15 in total. We spent a fantastic week at this house.Very comfortable, clean and well placed. The owners were not in site, but very easy to contact in the local pub.Keoghs.....The pub ws amazing with fantastic food...the local shop had everything you could want..I would have no problem recommending this house to anyone...stunning !
The house was rented for a group of visiting friends and it really exceeded my expectations. The location is unbelieveable and the size and condition of the house really more than we were expecting. The online pictures don't do it justice, everything was just fantastic.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic, right across the rd from the beach and a stone's throw from Ballyconneelly and other amazing beaches. Mary was really helpful and welcoming and even had the fire lit for us on arrival! The ESB rate was reasonable and the house had everything we needed for a family holiday. Would recommend
The lady looking after this property was great, looked after all our needs, She had the house spotless clean, Everything we needed for the three nights was in the house. Two minuets drive into Clifden. Shop and a Pub on site, Loads of green area safe for children and dogs to run and play, We will be coming back for a longer stay next time,
Maison très agréable et confortable...belles vues! Supers vacances....nous avons pas vu le propriétaire il est venu vérifier le chauffage qui sentait un peu
Very clean and modern. Excellent base for us. Like home from home. Will definitely return. The village is amazing and the views of the killery are amazing.
Nice clean cottage, at first day we had some problem sto find it, but then it was great. Superb equipped house, beautiful location in the middle of a astonishing valley with a great Lake, ideal for trips around to Connemara
We had an Amazing time at our accommodation in Roundstone. We stayed the June Bank Holiday weekend, we were booked at another location, which unfortunately was not to our standard and we were so lucky to find Terry.s office in Clifden. We explained our plight to Terry, explaining that we also had 2 dogs with us so we needed a pet-friendly accommodation. Within an hour Terry had sorted an Amazing residence in Roundstone, close to pubs shops and pet-friendly! Our host Maggie met us and couldn't have been nicer. Everything and more was included in the apartment, and the cleanliness was five-star...more
We enjoyed our weeks stay in a perfect location in Clifden as the house is within walking distance to everything. Unfortunatly we did have issues from day 1 with fumes from the oil heater...the management company and caretaker were immediate in their responsive and did compensate us for the discomfort but were unable to fix the problem. Suggest the oil burner should be located outside the house . The only other issue was the lack of blinds in the upstairs bedrooms which we could not understand as light shining in from early morning..we had to put black plastic bags over the windows. Lovely place to stay , second year in a row staying there , Lorna is lovely ,might see you again next year
superb location, quite and wonderful surounding, excellent restaurants nearby. Clean and confi house.
We stayed in Carna just a two nights as we had to leave earlier to drive to airport The place was clean and spacious quiet too! I loved listening to the wind Plenty of parking Mary and her family are lovely hosts I wish we could had stayed longer so I could had visited the area more!
The week we spent in this cottage on Inishnee was the most peaceful ever. It really had everything going for it. Not too close and not too far from Roundstone, which is a lovely picturesque village. The island itself has ample walking and views. The fact that the Galway->Cliften bus will stop at the causeway for the island is great too. After only three days of our one week holiday my wife stated, "next year, we'll come back and stay two weeks".
Only issue we had was the very late check in - 4pm. Also, would be nice to have had a few more basics, salt, pepper etc. Other than that the place was fabulous.
We spent a splendid week in this lovely cottage, very cosy and nicely decorated. It is really well situated to visit this incredible part of Ireland. The view from the house is wonderfull. + Thanks to Sheila for her very warm welcome.
Notre séjour dans ce charmant cottage était parfait. Tranquillité, confort, et très bien situé, à mi-chemin entre Galway et Cliffden. La propriétaire nous a réservé un très bon accueil.
My husband and I stayed here for a relaxing babymoon and that is what we got. Beautiful location, peaceful and had all the amenities we needed for Our 5 day break. The accommodation was comfortable, enjoyed cooking in the contemporary kitchen and the views were to die for. Highly recommended.
We stayed at this cottage for a week whilst fishing the river Erriff. The fishery is only a minute's drive away so could not be more convenient. The cottage is small but entirely adequate for two. It is comfortable, especially the beds, well-equipped and centrally heated. We ate out most nights, driving into Leenane just a few minutes way. Importantly for us, there was plenty of hot water at the cottage. The owner looked round on the first evening to see if we needed any help and was thoroughly welcoming.
The most beautiful spot imaginable! A great house with very friendly communications and support. We really hope to be able to stay here again one day. No wi-fi but that didn't matter one bit. Surrounded by pristine beaches and majestic mountains we had a wonderful week!
The house is situated in the centre of Clifden. When we arrived the house was not very clean. Stains on the carpet. The couch was dirty. Windows dirty. There were even little black worms in one of the bedrooms! The frying pans were damaged!
A good location for visiting the Connemara area. The house was lovely and warm which was much appreciated as the weather was windy and rainy. Generally the house is OK but the showers could do with updating and the garden needs some TLC.
Amazing location. We spent a week at Ross Point Cottage, a party of 6 adults. So peaceful! It was heaven on earth!
Excellent location. Property very clean and comfortable. Disappointed that walls very thin and could clearly hear the neighbors next door. No wifi.
Clean cottage in central location to village with friendly family service. Very good facilities like lots of towers, washing powder etc supplied. Would recommend for touting connemarra.
Lovely house, very remote and quiet.very well equipt. Beds very comfy. Very central for Roundstone, Ballyconneely and Clifden.
Mary was a great host and she took care that our stay was a great success. The cottage was very spacious and comfortable and the Connemara region is definitely one to explore. All in all, a great family experience!
We had a lovely 6 days stay in a modern, comfortable and warm bungalow in the beautiful scenic are of Claddaghduff, Clifden, Connemara in June of this year. Our little group consisted of myself, my husband, and our two dogs - a Labrador and a Collie. It was so nice to be welcomed by the Caretaker, Eileen, and to be made welcome. Everything was laid on and the house had a semi-enclose garden/yard to the rear which was ideal for our dogs. The house was located close to Clifden but also in a beautiful country area overlooking Clifden bay and just a stone's throw from Claddaghduff village and Omey...more

This house is in a lovely peaceful and relaxing location on Inishnee island a few miles from Roundstone. There is a loop walk around the island with very nice views. It is well located for touring the Connemara area and beauty spots, many scenic driving routes in the area. There are 2 fabulous beaches about 5 miles away, Gurteen & Dog's Bay, white sand and crystal clear water. Lovely for swimming. The house is comfortable, the kitchen in particular was very well equipped. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean however the rest of the house was dusty and a bit grubby, could do with a good cleanin...more
