Property was fantastic! Kids and dogs loved the giant garden with easy access to the beach. Shops were mere minutes walk away, but the property still felt private and secluded. Hosts were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful, whilst also respecting our privacy. Great property and would definitely stay again!
This was our second stay at Benmore. The first was in the Byre last October as there were 4 of us and a dog and this time in the Stable as just 2 of us and a dog. Both units almost mirror each other with furnishing, style and high quality living conditions. Beautiful setting and surroundings (set within a working farm) and only 10 mins drive from Dunoon. Kayren and Neil, the owners, are very friendly and helpful but at the same time give you privacy! As our son lives in Dunoon we are so glad that we have found somewhere to stay as we know that our visit to Scotland will be a regular occurrence...more
We had a great weekend break at the West Smithy Cottage. The location is great for those who like their peace and quiet but it's also not far away from local pubs and shops. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and clean.
A fantastic apartment in a great location. Mr and Mrs mcbride were brilliant We will definitely be back sooner rather than later
We stayed for 5 nights and had a brilliant time, the accommodation was perfect for our family the location was handy to venture in either direction to explore. The views from the front of the flat were ever changing and never boring at any time of day,
A very clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage. Waking up to look at Loch Fyne from the bedroom window was so beautiful, looking different every day. An easy walk into Inveraray which has everything you need. So many interesting and beautiful places to visit in the area.
Kayren and Neil were the perfect hosts. A friendly welcome greeting despite them having such busy lives. We were so impressed with Benmore Byre. The location was perfect for us...out the way, with plenty of space to feel free...very important with 3 small children. Fantastic views from the kitchen overlooking the cows and calves, a heron regularly dropping in. The trees and the hillside with all the wonderful colours reminding us all the time we were in Scotland. The rooms were spacious and the layout worked well, all the woodwork gave such a cosy quality feel to the place. Well located for ma...more
Letters Lodge North is perfectly located at the edge of Loch Fyne. The view across the Loch is stunning. The house itself as been very sympathetically renovated. It retains character but with modern home comforts, particularly the underfloor heating, which is wonderful. The kitchen is very well equipped. The log burning stove is a bonus and great to doze by at the end of a long walk. Bedrooms are airy and comfortable. It is ideal for a family or a group of friends. We were grateful for the generous "welcome pack" on arrival, as well as the helpful information pack providing lots of use...more
stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas, the owners are very friendly and welcoming, providing you with freshly baked bread as well as all the essentials. Cottage is spotless and very comfortable, and dog friendly!. This is the second time I have stayed here and would highly recommend
Very nice stay ... comfortable with all amenities , beds were excellent ( very important as some properties we have stayed in the mattresses really needed replacing) shame it was only a short break
Amazing location. Very close to waterfalls and botanic garden. Shop 3 mins by the car, city centre 10. Very nice house. Clean and comfy, well equipment. Nice and quit area. Friendly neighbors. Lovely time. We definitely back there soon. Thank You
This is a beautiful cottage in a peaceful location. Close to both Inveraray and Lochilphead. Crarae gardens about 1 mile away. Owners of the cottage couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. Loads of historic sites nearby - Castles, stone circles cairns etc. Also plenty of wildlife in the area and plenty bird species visiting the cottages bird feeders. Would recommend this cottage to all age groups.
We had a lovely stay in Springburn Cottage. Mrs Neville was very welcoming and helpful and we really appreciated the fresh flowers and goodies that were there when we arrived. The cottage is very clean, warm and well-appointed. We found everything we needed. The beds are incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed having a log fire at the end of a long day's walking. The cottage is well-positioned by beautiful Loch Fyne and a perfect base for exploring the delights of Argyll and Bute. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others
We had a great weekend loved the house and location would go back anytime. The weather was'nt great but did'nt put us off it at all.
On arrival we were wonderfully surprised by the Christmas tree which had been set up for us! The pictures do not do this property justice, it is comfortable with great amenities, and in a fantastic location. The house was warm and there was loads of hot water. The bedrooms were comfortable and spotless. The interaction with the agent was excellent and we would definitely book again and recommend. Our only issue was with the stairs, the are quite slippy and as they are painted one colour we found it difficult to judge the edges. We traveled with our 74 year old mother and she could not...more
I FOUND THIS LODGE VERY GOOD WOULD DEFINETELY GO BACK IN THE FUTURE. EXCELLENT VIEW THOROUGHLY PEACEFUL AND RELAXING ONLY THING THERE WAS NO FREEZER TO STORE FROZEN FOOD
Flat was clean and spacious. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Notices gave clear instructions on how to operate the heating etc. Lovely view from the front of the house of Holy Loch.
A lovely place to stay to relax and explore. The only little fault we could find and it's a little picky. is that there was not enough plates and cups, as when things where in the dishwasher from breakfast we ran out
When we got there the man that owned the lodge was there he was a very friendly man welcomed us the area was beautiful it was the lovelyest little cabin love our time there and would book again
We had a lovely stay at the Enmore Beach House. It was the ideal space for us, plenty of room, there was a lot of activity going on, as my daughter was getting married, so lots of people around. Joanne the owner made us very welcome, and as we were the first bridal party, very thoughtfully left a little pressie for my daughter. We also wanted to leave our things earlier than check in time, and that wasn't a problem, makes all the difference when you have so much going on, we are very grateful to Joanne. I would not hesitate to recomend the Enmore, and Argyll Self Catering Holidays.
Stayed at Allt Na Breac over the Easter weekend, unfortunately our weekend was too short given the availability and our work commitments. We generally stay at An Cala, the sister house opposite, so were slightly apprehensive going to a new place. This was unfounded and we found Allt Na Breac to be just as beautiful and appealing as An Cala. The house is well appointed with everything you might need for a holiday in Scotland- cafetierre, adequate cooking utensils, easy to control equipment. Heating is easy to work and was needed, beds are comfortable. Furniture is sufficient but showing signs o...more
Kintore is a great house to spend time in with plenty of space, board games, books and wifi. The pool table is a bonus! It's in a lovely peaceful setting with a beautiful view, just a short distance from Dunoon and we visited the cinema, shops and cafes there. Children cycled along the prom and in the local woods and we visited Rothesay.
Great wee find, perfect location u could hear a pin drop, the accomadation was lovely really clean with nice comfy beds, every mod con and nice and warm , great for walkers, night sky watchers, nature lovers and dogs, fantastic beach a few miles away with golden sands, would highly recommend a visit to this lodge and area.
Waterside Villa is absolutely beautiful. It is kitted out to a very high standard with everything you need. It is also spotlessly clean.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Loch View Lodge. Only down side was having to drive the long way round, over a very bumpy and pot holed road , as we had no access through the vehicle barriers within Hunters Quay.
If you are looking to stay in Dunoon you won't get any better than Hazelbank, everything from start to finish was just perfect, Donald even had the kettle boiling ready for my arrival. The apartment is spacious and has everything you will need for your stay. The owners did everything they could to make us welcome and were helpful with anything we asked. We are looking forward to going back soon for another visit ,
Arriving at the property was easy to find, thanks to the owners accurate instructions on how to get there. The property was clean on arrival, nice bottle of wine was left and a nice packet of biscuits was a lovely touch and unexpected. The owner also left the basics which was unexpected and much appreciated, some washing up tablets, washing up liquid, bar of dove soap, hand wash and toilet rolls in the bathroom. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals at night, everything was there to make a family meal. Straight away I felt at home. Lovely place to stay and nice walk through the the woo...more
Spent 3 days with friends at Newton south cottage and having nothing but praise for the comfortable surroundings, beautiful views . Best quality dishes , bedding , towels . it was just fantastic . Will definetly return for a short break. Thank you Gina
What a pleasure to spend five days in a real home. It makes a massive difference when find a place which is someone's home and not just a place for rent. The owners have obviously decided to leave all of their own beautiful and tasteful art lovely furniture and objects precious to them in the house and trust people they don't know to enjoy them for a few days. Excellent accommodation truly fully equipped with all you could possibly need for your stay. The view location and area simply spectacular. What an amazing few days. Thank you Cameron and Magy
We enjoyed tow nights in the secret coast lodge. The directions to find the lodge could have been made a clearer with a map as we arrived at the wrong lodge and tried to access, but then realised it wasnt the correct one. The timber decking in front and at the side lodge was very slippery when wet, so owners need to power wash it soon . also the floor coverings in the two bedrooms were of a sort of natural rush type matting ,and not very nice or easy to clean. There were plenty of DVD,s CD,s and Books and Games available, Better instrictions needed to switch satilite TV to DVD needed please...more
Very good .location was excellent.very spacious.heating very good.has three bedrooms therefore can accommodate a large family.
A group (10) of us stayed at Taigh na Mara last weekend for my husbands 30th. The house is huge (bigger than it looks in the pictures) and well kitted out with everything we needed for a weekend away. It's a short walk to the local pub and the surrounding areas are stunning. We will definitely be back.
I would rate our stay as excellent on all counts. We did have a couple of issues on arrival but as they were dealt with immediately the next day I can say we were very pleased with everything and we would be happy to use Clydeside Villa again in the future.
The cottage was just fine; warm, comfortable and well provided. Wonderful location with ancient historic monuments all around. A rough track to get there as you would expect way out West!
Just what the doctor ordered for our family of 5. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped. The views over the Western Kyle to Bute are simply stunning. Everyone in the village we found to be extraordinarily friendly. We had a couple of very pleasant evenings and a meal at Kames Hotel - definitely recommended. There are lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore - or just have a quiet peaceful time. Bute is an easy day trip, with Mount Stuart being a must, and the seals too if you are lucky - we managed to get really up close.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Pier Cottage, the scenery and location were amazing. The cottage is lovely and cosy, well equiped with everything you could need for a short stay. The Kames Hotel is just yards away and sells lovely food and the Kames Village shop nearby is fully stocked. Looking forward to returning to this awesome wee cottage!
Excellent flat. Great views. Very Well appointed. Will return to this place for a relaxing, low key, break.
We had a lovely return visit to the Oystershell Lodge. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone. We would love to return again in the future.
We spent a wonderful week in this peaceful location. Louden cottage was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. A beautiful outlook, with lots to do in the area. If you want to get away from it all to relax and reenergise, this is the place for you. A truly magical stay.
Upper Ashwood South is in a lovely spot over looking Loch Fyne. We have stayed here a few times before and always found the flat to be clean, tidy and with all the facilities available to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We will definitely be staying here again.
This was our second stay at Bihar cottage and loved it just as much as we did the first time ,it was good to see that they had increased the heating in the cottage as it gets really cold at night ,if I had any comments to make it would be to put blinds or curtains on the windows which would help keep the heat in the cottage at night .i would recommend the cottage to anyone as the views on the Clyde from the cottage are amazing
The house in in a quiet street with a short walk to the local co-op. The house is spacious with everything you would possibly need for you holiday/visit. There is off-street parking and the beds are very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay (even if it was for a sad occasion - my friend's funeral) and would recommend to others.
We had a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the country. A perfect base to explore the Cowal Peninsula, Argyll's Secret Coast and beyond. Comfortable holiday home with great access to beach, 30 second walk from front door. Red wine and shortbread was a lovely touch.
Overall the property was great, only let down by the bathroom and dodgy shower. Believe the bathroom and kitchen are being replaced so should be fine going forward.
We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. On the whole it was a great apartment. The sitting room was lovely with great views and was comfortable and well furnished. The log burner was a bonus on what turned out to be a very wet and cold Easter Sunday. The beds were also very comfortable. The bedding smelled lovely!! Minor negatives were; The condition of the crockery- several items were chipped and would have been disposed off in our house. There were no instructions for anything- a must in a rented house. The steps to the apartment were quite steep and we had to p...more
Lovely location, stayed here twice before, clean comfortable lodge. Good facilities on site, lovely relaxing holiday.
Property very nice and clean with lots of the things you would normally have to take already provided e.g. Dishwasher tablets, washing powder etc. What let it down was the lack of instructions for things like freestat, how to play a DVD on play station. Confirmation provided on booking and a few days before was not up to date i.e. Wrong housekeeper contact, wrong place where instructions were to be found, no bag for glass as stated. Outside furniture not that comfortable for someone with mobility needs. No outside umbrella provided(would have been helpful on first sunny day). Hot tub was great...more
Ideal position for us near friends in Kilmun. Right beside Pucks Glen for walks and a pet robin. We had a great stay.
First impressions on arrival weren't great the cottage looks a little tired from the outside black marks on walls ,weeds by front seating next to front door but inside was clean warm and comfortable welcome pack was a great touch and it had a homely feel to the cottage great location and good views ,great for the price
The accommodation was great for our family. It provided easy access to Dunoon and the surrounding areas. The rooms were really good and we felt rested from our stay. The beds were comfortable, the adults could enjoy the power shower, while the kids enjoyed having a TV in each of their rooms.
I booked a stay at Benvue Villa for my husband's 60th Birthday so that all the family could spend the weekend with him close to very good friends of ours in Dunoon. My husband and I arrived first to find there was no heating on in the house - indeed it was just as cold as outside (it was the 5th January!) Fortunately the heating controls were familiar to us but it took several hours for the house to even feel aired and still not that comfortable. An open fire was advertised so we hoped to warm the place up with that however there was a notice to say it was out of order. As we had paid for two...more
