Excellent house, which was used as a base to explore the area.
We had very good weather more or less when we were there (mid-May 23 for a week), which helps. Not many midges about!
The house was clean and comfortable with large kitchen area and dining area with two of all major white goods (two ovens, fridges, microwaves etc.).
Red squirrel watched us each breakfast most mornings.
Three (very) large bedrooms upstairs with en-suites, which we used (we were a party of three couples).
One bedroom downstairs with separate bathroom and I believe the house can accommodate up to ten.
The view from the upstairs seating area and verandah over the loch is lovely.
Highly recommended.

If you wish a walk on the quiet side, then do not hesitate to stay at this lovely house, Ardfyne. With beautiful views over Loch Fyne to the west and in a great location altogether, this property is superbly well-equipped and spacious. Also, well-placed for an evening meal out in the nearby Creggans Inn, book ahead as this is a very busy restaurant with great seafood. Forest trails, mooching along the shoreline for shells and driftwood, hills and gardens to explore, and within easy distance of most places such as Inveraray, Benmore Gardens by Dunoon and your own hidden gems yet to discover in this lovely corner of south-west Argyll.

We have been in a lot of large holiday homes over the years but Ardfyne was about the only one that had everything you could wish for.It was great to have sockets near mirrors to use hair dryers. The view was stunning and it was lovely to watch all the birds in the garden.Would recommend house to anyone.

A beautiful large house overlooking the loch Fyne.

Great home with wonderful views on the loch, particularly from the upstairs seating arrangement and balcony. A spacious kitchen and large dinning area was ideal for family. There are a couple of pubs about 200 minutes walk away, but remember to take a torch as there is no street lighting for the majority of the pavement.
Only slight negative is the pool table was on the slope with small holes in the cloth and just one cue which didn't have a tip.

Ardfyne on Loch Fyne is a stunning house in an idyllic location. The main purpose of our stay was to have a base for our family while walking The Cowal Way which stretches from Portavadie to Inveruglas. The house is more or less half way along the route. The facilities, comfort, cleanliness were excellent with loch views to die for from the lounges and front bedrooms. A real find. I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.
The one negative about the property is the driveway. It is extremely steep, unsurfaced, uneven and not for the faint-hearted. Two members of the family got their cars stuck on the way up and had to be pushed out of potholes.

The house was excellent. And what a wiew over Loch Fyne. We enjoyed our stay very much.
One small thing was the heavy smell of bacon in the kitchen. The extractor hood could need to be cleaned.
The rooms were nice and cozy and it was wonderfull to have a bathroom to each bedroom.
We can recommend others to visit Ardkinglas and the Woodland Gardens in Cairndow.
We wouldn't hesitate to come back to the house in the future.
The clothes horse to dry clothes was still broken.

The location is brilliant : views are amazing : really close to the Loch. Small local shop within walking distance and a great pub 15 minutes walk away: we came with a large group at New Years Eve and a local came out to play the bagpipes . Great for family and each bedroom ensuite made for comfort and privacy. Kitchen is huge and they have a huge dining table to support the full house. Clean and really comfortable the only fault was the clothes horse to dry clothes was broken - seriously couldn’t find anything else to complain about and me : I am fussy ! Loved it

Excellent holiday. Lovely house great location would recommend it to all our friends and family.
