Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at GlenBranter. Perfect location to relax and unwind. Lots of trails to walk or cycle straight from the cottage door. Friendly knowledgeable hosts providing a wide range of information to make your stay perfect

The bed gave us both a bad back. The armchair was really uncomfortable so we both had to try to relax on the small sofa. A front garden was advertised but doesn't exist. The garden available is owned by the owners who live next door. Cottage too small and cramped.

We absolutely loved our stay at Glenbranter Cottage. The location is beautiful and there are lots of lovely woodland walks in the area. The cottage is very well appointed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The welcome bottle of prosecco was a nice surprise too! Mark and Alison were very helpful and gave us some good tips on things to do and places to eat. We would happily stay there again.

Perfect for a quiet and secluded retreat. You can walk out of the cottage into the most beautiful woods. There are waterfalls and walks around the loch.
The cottage is small but very comfortable.
I would recommend it to anyone who loves nature.
We can’t wait to go again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glenbranter Cottage; the cottage is very stylish, super comfortable and the kitchen is really well equipped. The location was perfect to explore the local area and was really peaceful. Alison and Mark's personal recommendations and advice were great, and it was lovely to meet them both. We would highly reccomend a stay here and would not hesitate to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get away to a secluded location in a beautiful forest. Small but clean cottage with everything you'd need (though note no washing machine, but that wasn't a problem for us). Good comms from the owners, well located for lots of lovely walks and swims on the Cowal peninsula. Thanks!

A great break in a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. This was our second stay here, postponed from spring, and it was well worth the wait.

Super cottage in the Argyll forest. Great walks from the door step, nice and quiet so the dog could be off the lead most of the time. The cottage was cosy with a log burning fire, though it was small, it was bigger than we expected from the photos. Great stay, would recommend.

Charming little But n’ Ben! The location was a surprise and a wonderful one at that!! Right in the middle of the forestry walks and surrounded by nature. Beautiful.
The cottage was compact, cosy and had all we required. Peaceful and comfortable.
Our hosts Mark and Alison were welcoming and helpful and we both liked them very much. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely 4 night break in Glenbranter Cottage. It was just perfect, everything provided for a 'get away from it all' holiday. Very quiet location which is what we like, fantastic walk from the cottage to a spectacular waterfall. Went up Ben Arthur on a bright, sunny day with snow capped top. Met Mark and Helen, who were very welcoming. Our dog loved curling up in front of the wood burner after long days out in the fresh air. We don't usually go to the same place twice, but will definitely be paying a return visit, so many places we didn't get time to visit.

I booked Glenbranter cottage for 2 nights, 2 weeks before my wedding to have some "me time". I could not have been more impressed. The cottage is set in such idyllic settings with the stream out the front and the hills at the back. It is quiet and serene. The views are amazing!! Inside it is very cosy and has all the essentials you would need. There are plenty of information leaflets about the surrounding area and everything you would need to know is in a folder. It was so good to get away from the everyday busy life and just take time out to relax and unwind. I brought my 2 dogs with me and we went on plenty of beautiful walks, then they flopped, knackered, beside the wood burner. I was sad to have to leave this little piece of heaven and decided I would make this a yearly trip to recharge and relax. Thank you so much to Mark and Allison for letting me stay in this beautiful cottage.

This is a lovely small cottage in Glenbranter in a beautiful and quiet spot. The view from the front door is of trees and hills, there is a river a few yards away.

The cottage is as described, a very comfortable bed takes up most of the bedroom, but there is a chest of drawers and cupboard space. Living room / kitchen area is fine. Electric and wood stove heating, fuel and firelighters are provided, The wifi is not fast but works. Instructions for arrival and entry were accurate. Mobile phone signal in area is very patchy.

The landlord has provided a helpful folder with clear instructions for the cottage and a selection of local walks, with some laminated OS maps. There are numerous forest and loch side walks which can start literally from the front door, as the cottage is in a forest park, beside a forestry road. The only traffic is the occasional private car and logging lorry.

We had an entirely wonderful time, rain and all, and intend to return as soon as possible.

A lovely little cottage set in the middle of Argyle Forest within earshot of the tranquil sound of a fast running stream closeby. The Cottage was well presented and had everything you would expect to find in a holiday cottage, including wifi, but unfortunately no phone signal (due to its isolated position, but that can be bonus in this technological world!). Dunoon is the closest town nearby for amenities. Inverary, a lovely place, is also not too far away either and well worth a visit.

Iain of Argyll Self Catering Holidays was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Overall a lovely experience and thoroughly recommended.

Bijou cottage in Forestry Commision area in the Argyll Forest area within walking distance of Benmore Botanical Gardens and Pucks Glen. Cowal Way straight out of front door. Cottage had all that was required. Supplied ovids, logs, kindling and firelighters a bonus. Very comfortable 6' Bed. Once combi microwave mastered cooking easy. Excellent pubs and restaurants within a few miles. All in all an excellent cottage and location to see Argyll and Bute especially the many gardens and other visitor attractions.
