Welcome to “St Michael’s,” a semi-rural property in the village of Kippen. This delightful, detached, 5 bedroom house sits in the perfect spot to take in the views of the Trossachs Mountain range and, if the inside isn’t enough, you can retreat to the rear deck of this impressive getaway to watch the stunning sunsets then gaze at the twinkling constellations under a cosy tartan blanket. St Michaels’ is a fabulous place both inside and out with uninterrupted 180 degree views of the Trossachs Mountains from the rear of the house.

Rent St Michael’s and spread out in 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms ( one of which is ensuite), with sleeping space for a total of 9 guests.

St Michael’s has 200 sq. metres (2,152 sq. ft.) of space, plus extensive mature gardens. The decked balcony at the back of the house overlooks the rear garden and has the most magnificent view.

Restaurants, shopping, family entertainment, and nature trails are all either within walking distance or just a short drive from this ideally located property.

Not to mention the property’s excellent location near everything you’d want to do in Stirlingshire.

Large, comfortable house with amazing views. Perfect in so many ways.

I have just returned from a fabulous long weekend stay at St Michael’s with a group of close friends. We arranged to have a grocery delivery on the 1st evening- the driver had no issues locating the house and it certainly got our weekend off to a great start not having to lug in lots of heavy grocery bags.
The views from the lounge, deck and numerous bedrooms of the Trossachs Hills were stunning – clear, dark skies at night also made for some fantastic star and galaxy gazing lying under a blanket on the deck.
Well-equipped kitchen – everything has been thought of and more! The Dining Room made for a memorable birthday night meal and made us feel like we were in a fine dining restaurant due to the classy décor, comfortable chairs and ambient lighting.
The beds had thee most comfortable mattresses any of us have ever slept on in a holiday home – matched with high-quality bedding, pillows and duvets made for a fantastic night’s sleep also helped by the blackout roller blinds and black out Roman blinds In place in each bedroom.
The lounge at the back of the house has ample seating and is also equipped with a great Niam sound system ( a bit like a Sonos system but much easier to use!)
The management company provide a great digital Welcome Folder which is sent to you electronically prior to arrival so you have all the information you need like Wi-Fi login, waste and recycling information, departure instructions, and places to eat and visit at your fingertips. Check-in instructions were also very clear and easy to manage on arrival after a long drive.
The house is clearly well maintained and looked after by the owners and it is also one of the cleanest holiday homes we have come across. Top marks to the cleaning team!
A great range of walks from the doorstep helped us burn off the wonderful meal we had at The Inn at Kippen which is only a few minutes’ walk from the house.
Friendly local shop stocked with everything you could need and more is also only a few minutes away on foot.
All in all, this is a fantastic property to stay in: well equipped, high-quality fixtures and fittings, top-notch beds and bedding and easily accessible from both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
You will not be disappointed if you choose to book and stay here.

We stayed at St. Michael's for ten days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well-equipped. The views from the master bedroom and from the family room are stunning. Kippen is a lovely little village, with two good restaurants, a yummy cafe, a small store and friendly locals, who like to engage with visitors and make recommendations. Also, there are a number of footpaths leading from the village. So, we were able to hike whenever we desired. The location is perfect for exploring the Sterling area. I did not want to leave!

St Michael's is a stunning property in a country setting that blew us away. We reached late at night, so were a bit anxious in getting there, but the property was wonderful. The next morning we saw the amazing surroundings, and couldn't be happier.
We had very clear instructions for the arrival and to find the property, so no issues in getting there. The property manager called to check on us next morning, which was very kind of her.
Overall, the property had everything that you could ask for, including toys for our 2 years old . Very well satisfied with the choice we made and will definitely look to book again.

Overall house was comfortable with plenty of space for 9 people. However there were no mattress or pillow protectors on most of the beds so the mattresses were very uncomfortable, with the buttons digging in.
Knife sharpener needed for kitchen knives.
Kitchen rubbish bin had not been emptied.

Many thanks for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed the high levels of cleanliness and customer service during your stay and also the size of the property as being ideal for a group of 9. I have spoken to the Property Manager regarding the lack of pillow protectors on 2 of the 5 beds and 3 of the 18 pillows. She was aware of this and, due to the fact that all beds usually have protectors on them, she was aware that, if there had been any issue with marks on the mattresses or pillows after your departure, it would have been the responsibility of the Property Management team. The lack of protectors was due to a combination of facts: previous guests had removed all protectors when stripping the beds and the cleaners in place that day were not the usual ones and did not realise they were to be replaced. Measures have been taken to ensure this oversight does not happen again. The unemptied bin has also been investigated and it appears the rubbish inside was the cellophane wrapper from the fresh flowers left as part of your welcome pack. I am sorry we fell short of you scoring us a 5/5 in the area of comfort and would like to reassure you that, if we had been made aware of the discomfort due to the lack of mattress protectors, we would have rectified the situation for you. I highly recommend St. Michaels in Kippen. It is an excellent well-equipped property with all the amenities one would hope for. As regards living space in addition to a living room and dining room the accommodation has a large TV/ playroom suitable for children with plenty of games and toys to keep them occupied. The property has a lovely outside raised patio for dining ( weather permitting ) with superb expansive views. There is also a quiet public children,s playpark a short walk away. The village has a couple of reasonably good pub/restaurants within walking distance and within a short drive away there are many attractions such as a safari park and nature reserve. Of course the glorious Scottish countryside is on your doorstep. My family ( 4 adults and 3 children ) thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
