Kerridge End Holiday Cottages have 3 three properties: The Hayloft (sleeps 6), The Coach House (sleeps 4) and The Stables (sleeps 2). They can be found in the foot hills of The Peak District looking down on the Cheshire plains. They are all Grade II* listed buildings which means they are of exceptional historic interest and are graded 5* Gold, situated in the grounds of a gentleman’s country residence. Conveniently situated within easy reach of the Peal District National Park’s most stunning scenery and historic sites in the Cheshire Plains such as Chester, Tatton Park, Quarry Bank Mill, Dunham Massey, Lyme, Little Moreton Hall and Biddulph Grange Gardens. Locally there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes with everything from a Michelin-starred restaurant, to welcoming local pubs, restaurants, farm shops and cafes.
We booked the Stables together with the Hayloft for a special family birthday/get together and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Both properties were really excellent conversions from their original agricultural beginnings and the owners were helpful and welcoming
Having all rooms with ensuites made alllocating rooms easy though the amazing range of options in showering systems added an extra layer of interest!
The large table and plenty of crockery etc (in the Hayloft) also made it possible for us to do the large joint meals which were an important part of the week's celebrations.
Recently stayed for eight nights and the Coach House ticked all the boxes for us.
A warm welcome from Lyn and Ivor was a nice start to our break here and we were delighted with the condition and layout of the cottage. All the facilities were top of the range and included everything one could need. Beds were comfortable, shower excellent and kitchen fully equipped (even managed to cook a Sunday lunch for friends :-) )
We have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House, indeed we are planning to rebook for later this year.
