A lovely little cottage that had a beautiful view. In a very peaceful location, only about 20 minutes away from gorgeous beaches. A great central location for visiting Croyde, Ilfracombe and the local beaches.
Clean kitchen and bathroom and very useful to have a dishwasher. The table outside was great for eating outside in the summer evenings.
Our host was very helpful and responsive and kindly let us check out late as it was my son’s birthday. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We arrived on a cold and wet Friday afternoon to a clean and warm cottage.
The cottage had good WiFi coverage but no mobile coverage as it is in a valley so if you want to plan a route out do it before you leave the cottage.
Also beware of unmade roads close by that some navigation apps may try and take you down. Fortunately we have a good 4x4 with adjustable suspension so we didn't loose the sump and didn't get stuck.

Our only criticism was the mattress and felt like it was further from the village pub than stated.

Fish in lake easier to catch!!!!

The location of the cottages is in an incredibly pretty rural spot, quiet but not too isolated, there is an excellent pub nearby that does proper good food and is within easy walking distance; also Ilfracombe and Braunton are just a few miles away, both excellent places for cafes, restaurants and bars.

There is an amazing amount of space and an adventure playground for children to let off steam and a well stocked fishing lake, all beautifully maintained.

We stayed in Braefoot cottage and it was just ideal. A very clean, comfortable, tastefully furnished and well equipped property with lovely views down to the lake from both inside the house and the raised patio.

There is a strong smell of damp in the cottage and in fact the appliance instructions in the kitchen drawer are very damp as a result. The shower doesn't work and if you want a bath you would need to allow an eternity for it to actually fill. I think it very mean of the hosts to only provide 1 dishwasher tablet, 1 laundry tablet, virtually no washing up liquid and no washing up sponge. I wouldn't stay again.
