We stayed in the West Wing suite and it was an amazing room. We had six adults and everyone had plenty of space. The castle grounds were excellent and we enjoyed walking the property and seeing the ocean. The coffee shop near the castle was the best breakfast we have had in the UK.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, great walks round the castle to visit highland cows, sheep and magical stone menhirs.
The internet however does not really work there, which can cause problems. Trying to reach the management over the weekend or after hours proved difficult as well. I would still go back!

The West Wing apartment is absolutely adequate for a family of 5, comfortable and clean. However, the style of the interior does not quite suggest that you are living in a castle.

Glengorm Castle is luxury accommodation in atmospheric surroundings, perched on a grassy knoll on the windswept Isle of Mull. Drown your sorrows in a neck-deep bath, be inspired by beautiful bobbing Scottish thistles and mossy standing stones, nip down to Tobermory town for fish n chips. You won't regret a moment of it.

Our stay at Glengorm in the West Wing was one of the highlights of our Scotland trip. The suite was spectacular. We loved the view of the sea, the cosy sun porch, and spacious bedrooms. Hiking around the estate down to the shore or to the standing stones in solitude after the crowds on Skye was quite refreshing, If we are ever lucky enough to return to Mull, we will definitely stay at Glengorm.

Everything was delightful. Just wish we could have stayed a couple more days to fully enjoy what Glengorm and Mull has to offer.

This was by far the highlight of our stay in Scotland. From the reception we received when we arrived to the kind words when we departed, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The West Wing was immaculate and the beds were like sleeping on clouds. If we ever get a chance to come again we definitely will. Just a word for travelers not familiar with driving on the left-hand side of the road or on the two way one lane roads - don't be concerned. Everyone is very accommodating and helpful as you learn this new skill. It is worth the drive. As well - we highly recommend the Coffee Shop - the food is delicious and is all locally sourced. I wish we were still there!

Gorgeously decorated rooms with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Loved the blackout shades, super king size bed, local toiletries, and cozy carpet floor upstairs. This was the first good night’s sleep we had on the holiday thanks to being able to finally sleep in darkness (June) and not like sardines! Lovely to roam the grounds and get up close to the Highland cattle and sheep. Glengorm Cafe was fabulous. My husband said the breakfast enchilada was his favorite meal of the entire week in Scotland.

We ran into travel difficulties on our way to Glengorm, but Marjorie Nelson was extremely accommodating. The West Wing was clean, accommodating, and positively a joy to stay in. The grounds of Glengorm Castle need to be experienced, as we may not have the words to describe properly. And you MUST get at least one meal from the Cafe! We would definitely book again!

To be brutally honest we had no idea what to expect from our visit to Glengorm Castle but as you can see from the various photographs it is a stunning building in the most perfect location and we absolutely loved staying there. Within two hours of being there I was walking around the lawns and a Golden Eagle flew overhead and hovered for a while on the sea winds coming in over the headland. That was worth 5 stars alone!

The rooms are very comfortable as was the bed and the towels are large and fluffy, just perfect. The toiletries are first class and you have everything you could possibly need within the wing itself, plus private parking of course. Which to be fair is shared a little with the ground staff but it was actually great to see them doing their thing and looking after the place.

Like I said, we didn't know what to expect and I suppose having just come from an outstanding 5 star hotel surrounded by people the whole time to a 5 day self-catering stay in the West Wing of this castle venue it was , of course, completely different from being waited on hand and foot, so took a little adapting to.

When we arrived there was no one around so as we were a little early we went to the nearby Glengorm Coffee Shop and had a brilliant lunch there. I would thoroughly recommend the Shepherds Pie. Also the service was great and the staff were lovely.

When we went back to the castle there was still no one around except for a lady we could see through a window sitting at a computer. She clearly saw us but remained seated even though it was obvious I was wandering around like a lost sheep as I didn't know where to go. I did think that was a little odd and maybe she could have at least told us where to go. Then I remembered the lady at the coffee shop said that the West Wing was down the side of the building and had its own entrance where we should be able to let ourselves in.

We went round and as we got there a lady appeared from the inside the castle to greet us and that was Pam. She was lovely and after a quick show round pretty much left us to it. She explained that the wi-fi was rubbish and to be fair, it was as I couldn't even get into it. Unfortunately, so was 4g which I could only get in one corner of the room or upstairs. So if you are looking for peace and quiet then this is the place to be. I wasn't too bothered by that as it was good to be off the grid for a while but, like most people, we did need to check in with family of course, which we did mostly away from the castle to get a better signal. That said, I can't imagine anyone booking a place like this where the main reason for staying is great TV and internet.

Sadly, we didn't see Pam or anyone else for the rest of the week, it would have been nice to maybe have a chat at some point about the castle and its history rather than just read about it. That felt a bit strange but I suppose most people go there for the solitude and want to be left alone. To be fair, Pam did say if you need us just shout, so I guess coming off the back of being pampered in a hotel spoilt us and we may not have noticed this quite so much if we'd done it the other way round.

Either way, it didn't detract from a brilliant stay in a brilliant venue and location. So if you want to pretend to be a Laird for a few days (driving up to the castle is a real thrill) then I would wholeheartedly recommend Glengorm Castle. I don't know when, but I would love to go back sometime. Thank you.

Our group of 7 (ages 18-45) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the West Wing. Accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We loved having the kitchen and there was plenty of equipment available to cook with. The views are spectacular and the hikes around the grounds are second to none. The cafe on site is fantastic for food and drinks, or just a stop in during a hike. This was our second time staying here and we would happily stay again!

We loved staying at Glengorm! Such a beautiful setting and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The west wing was very comfortable for our party. Beds were super comfortable and the we all slept well. The living spaces in the west wing were also very comfortable and well appointed. We would stay again if our travels bring us back to Mull and Tobermory.

We booked four nights in the West Wing for our microwedding in early October. So glad we found such a beautiful space to stay! The private rooms were spacious, the gathering areas were more than accommodating, and the views of the castle grounds and ocean were out of this world! Pam was great to work with and we can't wait to return someday.

Myself and three other people stayed at the west wing of the castle for three nights. We had an absolutely wonderful visit. We loved the property. So peaceful. Pam did everything to make our visit go smoothly. The kitchen as well appointed, and the beds are super comfortable. And the showers were terrific! We really like the coffee shop on the property as well and the convenience to get into town. Highly recommend.
