This is definitely our ‘Happy Place’ After holidaying here for over12 years (mostly twice a year) we still feel the calm relaxing atmosphere that we always have, stepping into the lodge and seeing the lake makes any stress disappear instantly! It is a home from home with everything you need provided and is beautifully clean and fresh. The attentive owners Katie and Tim are always on hand and make sure we have everything we need. The stay at Rural Roosts was just what we wanted. Swan Lodge was excellent, it was very comfortable and had everything we would need. It was very clean and tidy and the surrounding grounds were well maintained. The fishing in the Lodge lake was very good and in the reservoir that too was good. The shed meant you could store all of your tackle. The hot tub outside was a very good feature. Hopefully we will visit again next year.
This was our 3rd visit here, staying in a different Lodge each time. The place is perfect, although the weather made the fishing difficult we still managed good fish with some real exciting moments that will provide us with stories for some time, The Lodges have everything you need and are of an exceptional standard, the surrounding woods and pathways are well kept and just a delight to walk through. We returned for another relaxing holiday. The communication before the holiday was great and prompt. The lodge was clean and welcoming with a lovely lemon cake for us and treats for the dog. A welcome message was sent letting us know that Katie and Tim could be contacted if we had any questions or issues over our stay. The hottub was clean and perfect temp and was checked every day. We had the reservoir lake to ourselves for most of the week and one day pulled out 19 fish. We'll definitely be back again. Thanks Katie and Tim.
What a beautiful place this is! Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The lodges are very clean and comfortable. There is everything you could need for your stay. Theres lots of wildlife to see which is lovely. The fish in the lake are well looked after. There are recycling bins, a little office where you can buy bread, eggs, milk, bacon ect. Its just a lovely place.
We had a fabulous time. There is everything you need in the lodge & the hot tub makes it extra special. The Roost is well stocked & everyone is always really helpful & pleasant. The dogs are made welcome too which is lovely
A wonderful place spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble for Katie, Tim & all the team will be back very soon
