Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
We loved the description of Airhouses from Carol's beautiful online handbook, and once we arrived, it simply got better and better. The lodge was lovely and cosy as we entered, which was very reassuring for grandma, but after that first night we had incredible weather and just sat outside loads, from breakfast to dinner. It was so relaxing with the garden around the deck and hottub, three sitting out table & chairs areas, and a lovely collection of happy healthy farm animals to admire. The welcome breakfast and other welcome gifts were ... well, very welcome, and an absolute delight to unpack....more
Lovely cosy lodge, very well equipped and with thoughtful welcome baskets, luxurious shower and kingsize bed, bbq equipment, books and dvds and games too.
Located on a working farm with plenty of local residents to feed; pony’s, pigs, lamas, and not far from the main road (so you do get a tiny bit of noise from this). Booked the lodge on the recommendation of a neighbour. Not disappointed! The setting is absolutely beautiful, so very peaceful and the views quite spectacular. We had some lovely weather, so made use of the outdoor space around the lodge. Couldn't fault the lodge, everything was provided, attention to detail faultless, and the welcome hamper was the best we have experienced. This was our first visit to Airhouses, but we will definitely be returning, three nights just wasn't long enough. I would not hesitate to recommend these lodges.
