Five properties set amongst 633 acres of farmland with stunning views to the Lammermuir Hills. Each property has its own outside hot tub, all have ensuite bathrooms.. The Lodge sleeps 2, The Ramsay sleeps 4, The Lamont and The Buchanan both sleep 6 and the Capercaillie sleeps 10. All properties are within walking distance of each other. Many couples enjoy plenty of space so there is a special price for just 2 people in the larger properties. There are lots of walks, treasure trail, puzzle trail, jogging route, woods to explore on the doorstep. The area is renowned for walking, cycling, golf, and fishing. Edinburgh is a half hour away as is the Coast. The Scottish Borders itself has a lot to offer the visitor as well.
Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
As above , and it was wonderful , complete with all the Christmas decorations and lights .
The accommodation and situation could not be faulted , lovely walks for the dog , everything provided and 24 hour shopping to boot !!
Our son particularly enjoyed the hot tub , relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views .
Could not be faulted and most definitely to be recommending.
My kids selected a shortlist of 3 possible places for us to all get together for my 60th birthday. We were a party of 6 adults and 1 child (2). Capercaillie scored highest against all our criteria and we set off on 4 January 2019. Forty minutes from Edinburgh in a perfect setting, the house faces the hills. The open skies; the silence; the tranquillity welcomed us. Then we stepped into the house. Wow! Glass; light; views; space (open and private); modern appliances but not overwhelming; calm and uncluttered; plenty of showers, baths, loos; everything you could need - including a pasta machine....more
The lodge itself was beautiful, very comfortable set within in an idyllic working farm, with views of the animals and fields.
The owners are lovely, very accommodating with lots of knowledge of the surrounding area and animals, within the lodge there is a little shop set up by the owners which is open 24 hours, they run an honesty box as staff aren't on site all the time, this was a lovely touch.
Brilliant break as always at Airhouses. Batteries recharged and loved the new hot tub and new walk Martin shared with us. The new welcome tablet with our names on it was really nice touch-great work Carol.
My dog loved his break also and enjoyed the long walks.
Can I recommend waste bins around the farm so you can dispose of items?
We had a lovely relaxing break in The Lodge which is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay and situated in beautiful countryside. The breakfast pack was fantastic, it was full of local produce and was absolutely delicious and lasted for the whole of our stay. Perfect place for a short break to recharge your batteries.
