The impression we were left with as a result of a week here is that this company have NO interest in the experience of their holiday tenters.

We arrived to a house with nothing as a welcome. Zero!

Not even one sachet of milk for coffee after we’d travelled four hours! No explanatory notes about the house. Not even absolutely basic health and safety information about where the fire extinguishers were, where the nearest hospital is, and who to call in a medical emergency.

The t.v. did not work on any live channels. Presumably because the company are saving money by only having the internet and keeping their own costs down by not paying for a standard licence.

So our immediate impression on arrival was that the house was not a welcoming setting.


There were no leaflets about where to visit locally and no ‘Visitor’ comments giving recommendations to follow about places they had enjoyed.

Sorry - all of the above is really essential to have a good experience and to feel that the company are genuinely concerned about the welfare of their holiday renters.

Instead, it just felt like the sort of ‘take the money and run’ landlord behaviour that many tenants will be familiar with.

On that basis we did not feel that the company were really invested in ensuring we had enjoyed using the property and would advise anyone planning to book to check all the above criticisms have been addressed before making their own booking.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. You are sorry that you feel this way. I understand when you arrived you had trouble getting into the key safe and my colleague responded immediately to assist you with access. As a booking agency we look after multiple property with all with different landlords. Some hosts provide welcome packs and other's don't. Normally this is reflected in the price of the property. Often in holiday homes hosts are turning more and more to internet only television. All apps such as iplayer, itv, channel 4 etc can be accessed and live TV can be viewed. I apologise if you had any difficult finding this. We attach a digital guide with booking confirmations but we could print this and leave it in the property also. I assure you our guest's interests are at the forefront of our service. Housekeeping will have left all soaps, toilet rolls, cleaning products etc well stocked. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed your holiday at Cabane Mont Forte.

This property is very comfortable, spacious and local. Clear instructions on how to get there. Well equipped with plenty of saucepans and cutlery.
There were a few observations - not criticisms - which could be born in mind if the property is booked for next Xmas:
There were 5 of us cooking an Xmas meal and NY meal - there was only one roasting tin, and one oven glove (I had packed extra as this has happened to me before in a rental)
No instructions handy for WiFi code (we found it though!) oven, stove, dishwasher, etc; no recommendations on pubs/places to eat - ie no welcome book
The water pressure in the general bathroom is quite low
The overhead lighting in the lounge is glaring, but poor without it - perhaps a dimmer switch required?
Heating - generally the house was chilly despite the heating being on
The outside light (next to front door) needs a bulb
We bought extra toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets during our stay (not sure if we were supposed to but there wasn't enough for the 10 days we were there).
But we did have a really nice time and would stay again! Thanks and HNY to you.

We stayed at Cabane Mont Forte over the May Bank Holiday as we were visiting friends in the area. The house is located on a quiet estate; we initially pulled up to the wrong house number quoted in the directions from the agent but soon found the right place.

The house was very welcoming, spacious and comfortable. Super clean with everything we needed. We did not use the hob or oven due to eating out. The beds were great and we all had a good night's sleep. The shower in the ensuite was quite noisy but this didn't detract from our stay; feedback about the family bathroom shower from one of our party was that the water pressure was low.

We would definitely stay here again when visiting our friends in the future. The shops are about a 10min walk
