An award winning beautiful farmhouse sleeping 12 in 6 spacious bedrooms with 6 bathrooms is available without the use of Garden Cottage at certain times of year. Availabililty is usually during the off peak and shoulder seasons and midweek. Guests have exclusive use of the the large gardens and grounds of 2 acres and exclusive use of the games room, table tennis room which are located in the outbuildings and the playing field.

Monnington House is situated in a very beautiful and peaceful location in the wonderful Wye Valley almost equidistant from Hereford and Hay on Wye. Monnington House is very suitable accommodation for those celebrating milestone birthdays or anniversaries and for group gatherings.

The working kitchen is geared up for catering and numbers and is also a very sociable space. The dining area both inside and outside seat 12 - 18 comfortably. Caterers work often in the house. There are three further reception rooms ideal for quiet reading, watching TV, playing board games or working.

There are numerous choices of walks to suit all abilities straight from the door including the Wye Valley Walk. Oakchurch the farmshop is1.8 miles from the house which is very convenient and a visit will enhance your stay. The Red Lion at Bredwardine and Garden Cafe at Brobury House Gardens are within a good hours walk. Visits to Hay on Wye, Hereford and Presteigne are enjoyed. Go karting at Weobley, canoeing at nearby Bycross and tennis and padel in Hereford are the usual activities our guests enjoy.

Monnington House is a wonderful venue for a family and friends gathering.

The house is beautifully decorated with comfortable and stylish furnishings and overall provides a warm and welcoming space.
The kitchen is very well-equipped with ample crockery, cutlery, cookware, glasses for a large group as well as two ovens, two hobs, an Aga stove, two dishwashers and all in a space large enough for a number of chefs.

All bedrooms are beautifully appointed with extremely comfortable beds and the roomy bathrooms, each with their own style, providing plenty of hot water for a large group.

All of this is located in immaculate and peaceful grounds with both outdoor dining and relaxing seating areas with easy access to walks along the Wye Valley and through the nearby orchards.

Our group of friends had a most comfortable and enjoyable stay at Monnington House. We loved the location and the peace and tranquility it provided and would love to return.

We had a family gathering at Monnington House and the property, facilities and location exceeded our already elevated expectations. It was excellent value for money
Anna the owner/manager of Mornington House was communicative and helpful making the booking easy.

On arrival it was clear the house was very well equipped and the large rooms and bedrooms beautifully decorated and furnished. It had excellent facilities & Wi-Fi. This is all supported by the impressive grounds well maintained. The welcome pack (local food) was a nice touch with information pack providing a good list of things to do with local attractions (be it sport, sightseeing, walks), pubs, restaurants and take aways.

We also downloaded the Monnington House app which worked well and was easy to use/navigate.

We enjoyed playing football in the field and pool and bar football in the fitted our barn along with the table tennis. The weather was on outside and played Badminton on the lawn.
We did arrange a food delivery, however there is a the OakChurch Farm shop which has everything you would need for the stay and only a 5-minute drive away.
The location is in a beautiful spot.

My family and I had a fabulous time and have given Monnington House a well-deserved 5-star rating.

We make Monnington House (without Garden Cottage) available during off peak weekends and weeks and midweek breaks. It's good to know you appreciated the high quality of the house and gardens plus the games rooms and playing fields. The Touchstay Guide is a great asset for guests as it tells you almost everything there is to know about the house and the local area - its invaluable. Oakchurch, the farm shop at the top of the lane is wonderful and is used by most of our guests. Please come back and stay with us again. Best wishes
