Cosy and romantic cottage for two yet really spacious with spectacular long views.Wet-room with underfloor heating. A bath in the window of the large living room with a view down the glen. A perfect retreat for honeymooners or those wanting a quiet, relaxing break.

A piece of Paradise.

We have just had another wonderful stay at The Old Laundry. We have stayed in this house many times over the years and always enjoy the views, wildlife and peace and tranquility of the place. This year we were blessed with some amazing weather and wonderful sun sets and sun rises.

This was our second stay at the Old Laundry so we obviously like it. We loved watching the birds on the feeders and saw the occasional red squirrel. There are beautiful walks around the estate and further away. A highlight was watching ospreys from the cottage.
It is a lovely place to come for peace and quiet.

We have been in search of a new hideaway to fish and get away from it all place and we found it in the old laundry and dunalistar estate from moment we booked to the moment we left the whole service and care given by. The estate was second to none so much so we cannot wait to go back the whole place has a wonderful history and stories to it and on our walks it was like stepping back in time which make it more special
Now I won't tell you anymore as I won't get booked again ha ha!
Now laundry cottage great setting wonderfull views well Set out for couples kitchen is great size and everything you need as we like to be out in the day and cosy on down in evening so delivery from Morrison ssets you up Woodburn lively bath wit candles and view what more to ask. Aah but entertainment is on and to the wildlife is like Disney squirrel every possible type of bird deer and another gritter who make an appearance as a special extra all you need is peanuts and seed all o be watched from kitchen but see for yourselves. We did visit Pitlochry and the tea shop at station in Rannoch Moor and the Post office local store where you can Pick up most thing fishing this ime we were finding our feet and best spot do but the estate will help you. So a big Big thanks again see you soon

The Cottage was a lovely and comfortable place to stay, ideal for two people with a welcome tray of tea and biscuits. Everything needed for a great holiday was there, from a well kitted out kitchen to a very comfy four poster bed. There was plenty of information, ranging from places to visit, suggested walks, where to go for meals out etc. A nice detail was the nature diary where those who stayed could log the wildlife they saw during their stay. We were lucky to see a Pine Marten coming to the nut box put out for the red squirrels. It came a number of times.
Important to mention is the personal touch. Beatrice made a point of phoning on the evening of our arrival to check we had arrived safely and that all was ok. She also said we were to contact her if we had any problems or questions.

We just finished a week at The Old Laundry, and had an amazing time. The cottage is in a quiet spot on its own and is a beautiful spot for a getaway. The kitchen is well equipped, the cottage is comfortable, and the view for a morning coffee is amazing. You can even get groceries delivered there if you don’t want to leave. We'll definitely be going back, even if it’s a long way to travel from Manitoba.

We have stayed at the Old Laundry on several occasions and keep coming back. It is a lovely romantic cottage with wood burning stove, but also properly dog friendly. Easy to get dogs dry after a long walk in the utility room and they can be shut in the kitchen and out of the main living area until they are dry enough for company. The kitchen is well equipped and generally good facilities. Would recommend

Pleased to hear that on the whole the Old Laundry met with your expectations and you enjoyed your stay with us. With the cottage not being on the mains water supply the pressure is not as strong. The cleaner must have missed the tiles behind the pedestal but I have mentioned to them that they require to done on each changeover.

We love Old Laundry and will return (again).

It was a few years since we last stayed but found the standard, location and facilities were as good as before. The location is secluded but not remote with fine walks from the door, the dog loves the big secure garden.
The attention to detail and quality of the infrastructure and facilities is impressive with everything you might need provided.
An example of the good service was the provision of tea and biscuits on arrival which included a Bonio for the dog.
This is an excellent cottage for a couple looking for relaxation in a unique and quirky set up with both four poster and bath in the living room.

Enjoyed a week staying in this wonderful property, didn’t want to leave!
The space inside is amazing, huge windows letting light flood in and the views are wonderful.
Loads of wildlife right on the doorstop, red deer, including a stag seen every evening. Red squirrels, robins, nut hatch and woodpecker all enjoying the nuts on the feeders. We managed to get some amazing photos.
Everything provided in the house, very comfortable bed and cosy wood burner, the fire was made up ready for our arrival which was appreciated.
Can’t recommend this property enough, if you want a peaceful relaxing stay in a unique building then this is just the one to choose.
Oh and it’s dog friendly too!

We have stayed at the Old Laundry on more occasions than I can remember, at least 10 plus I guess. In fact our second visit this year to this cottage.

I have to say this was one of the better visits for a number of reasons. The weather was warm, sunny and enjoyable which allowed us to enjoy a BBQ and several mornings we had breakfast alfresco. Okay it did rain too, but its Scotland.

The wildlife in the area can be exciting, this time it was even more so. We saw two lovely red squirrels who visited daily to empty the squirrel nut feeder and bird feeders. The usual range of birds enjoying the feeder's. Saw some young deer in the field next to the cottage. This time we were lucky enough to see an osprey in its nest with young chicks. Could not have asked for anything more.

We also managed to get out on the water at Loch Tummel on a paddle board and dingy. Weather was perfect and water so calm. Also climbed Craig Varr just near Kinloch Rannoch. Great views.

We enjoy this cottage because of its location in the woods and having no close neighbours. Plenty of enjoyable walks from the cottage and saw we some lovely sunsets over Dunalastair water.

Thanks to the Estate staff who make the cottages very welcoming. The tea tray and biscuits and fresh cut flowers. We will be back for sure. Thanks Mike & Stu, Edinburgh

We've been visiting the cottages on the Dunalastair Estate, almost every year since 2008. We have stayed in the majority of the cottages now, but the Old Laundry is one of our favourites. It's dog friendly which is a bonus, and we have had many fantastic holidays there with our Labrador Holly, although she is sadly no longer with us. The location is stunning, and the property itself is perfect for a relaxing get away as it is secluded and quiet. The cottage is equipped with everything you might need to make your stay enjoyable. We're keen walkers and there are many walking routes which are accessible directly from the property, as well as many longer routes within easy driving distance. There is an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep, and on our last visit we saw some nesting ospreys with chicks about to fledge, and red squirrels who were regular visitors to the bird feeders. Highly recommended!

Back up to the Dunalastair Cottages for our Easter break. This time staying at the Old Laundry cottage. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and it still excites us when we return. The cottage is in a wonderful setting and nicely remote which we enjoy. On a clear day you can see right up the valley and to the mountains in the distance.
The weather was very mixed, but hey its Scotland. We still managed to get out and enjoyed a climb up the Munro 'Ben Lawers'. On the days when the weather was not so good we simply enjoyed the cottage and the log burning stove keeping us cosy and warm. We also enjoyed seeing the various animals and wildlife in the area. One morning we woke to seeing around twenty or so deer in the field near the cottage. Saw a good selection of birds at the bird feeders and yes a cute red squirrel.
The cottage is well equipped and the log burning stove is a bonus for us. Many thanks to the staff on the estate who help make the cottages special and with the welcome tray of biscuits, tea and coffee.
See you all soon, in fact booked for a return visit in September. Cheery Mike & Stu, Edinburgh.

The Old Laundry is as good, if not better than its description.
We avoid 2 person accommodation as the tend to be small. It wasn’t the case here, the property is large and lovely.
It’s possibly the best equipped property we’ve stayed. Nothing was missing. There were more than enough kitchen utensils. We cooked Christmas dinner, nothing was missing.
We can’t fault the cleanliness, when we stripped the bedding off, the underneath protectors were just as clean (they weren’t in the last cottage we stayed in . Another company).
The wildlife seen from the cottage matched our expectations, we saw all the big wildlife we hoped to, all from the cottage windows.
And it snowed, then it became very much a picture postcard cottage.
The garden was secure enough for our dog, a German Shorthaired Pointer, it didn’t attempt to jump the fence.
The estate staff we met or spoke to were friendly and quick to reply, we didn’t have any issues, it’s was just chit chat.
This is the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in. We have stayed on the estate before in a different cottage. We knew they have good standards. The Old Laundry exceeded these.

Second stay on Dunalastair Estate this time at The Old Laundary, which was lovely and spacious for the two of us and our dog. Everything you need - maybe some more coat hangers - if being picky!

The Old Laundry at Dunalastair Estate was ideal for our visit. It’s in a remote location thus very private and a lovely accommodation. It’s the perfect size for two people. We were out and about daily, but it would have been nice to also just relax at the cottage. The hospitality and service were equally high quality. Anything we needed was promptly addressed but it’s a self-catering property so we had reign of the place as well. I highly recommend the Old Laundry for your visit to the area.

My husband and I stayed at The Old Laundry for a couple of nights to get away from the usual city life. It is the best place to stay for a relaxing, peaceful and picturesque break! We loved the walks around the estate and watching all sorts of wildlife from bats to deers outside our window! A stunning location to unwind.
Thanks to the team for our amazing stay and the welcome tray was very well received after a long drive.
We will be back with family soon!

My partner and I stayed for a few days at the Old Laundry and loved it. Spacious for 2 people but also very cosy - the fire being a nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and bed was comfortable, making our stay enjoyable. The surroundings were lovely and quiet, providing the relaxation we needed. I highly recommend the Old Laundry and hope to return in the future.

Ideal location, wildlife on tap… deer and hare seen daily in the meadow. Red squirrels and a variety of birds came to the feeder near the cottage. Bats and an owl were resident in the nearby ruin of Dunalistair House.
Great location for Pitlochry, Blair Castle, Rannoch Moor and other attractions within Perth and Kinross.
Cottage was perfect for 2.
It has to be appreciated that when cottages are open to dogs (we brought ours) that it is impossible to get rid of every hair, when we cleaned up just before departure we found blonde dog hair… we have a black dog. It is not an issue and to be expected. The marking for cleanliness refers to oven trays left dirty from previous occupant, which wasn’t a major issue and may have been an oversight, making an assumption that the previous guest would have done this. On departure it states you should hoover up, especially over rugs if you have a dog, so any trace of a previous dog may not be down to the Estate, rather the cleaning by the previous guest.

Rose La Terriere replied more than 1 year ago
Thank you for leaving a helpful review and I am very glad you liked the cottage and surroundings. However, I am very sorry that the cottage was not up to our usual standard of cleanliness. Our housekeepers, who look after this cottage, are usually very thorough indeed and clean everything regardless of what any previous guest has done on leaving. On this occasion, unfortunately, the oven trays must have been missed. As you say, it is very difficult to get every dog hair up as some leave a lot of fur behind as they moult but the housekeepers would have done their best to remove it. They would never assume that guests have cleaned the rugs so that they would not have to. So I do apologise again that all was not completely as it should have been on this occasion. We take all criticism very seriously and will act upon it. We hope that you will visit us again in the future when, I am sure, you will find whichever cottage you choose is up to our normal high standard. Kind regards, Rose

Our retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Dunalastair Estate, a beautiful place for peace and quiet. The Cottage exceeded our expectations, being in a secluded position and very welcoming. We loved the large space with free standing bath, four poster bed and large fire place all in one room. We also enjoyed being in such close proximity to that legendary Munro, Schiehallion and watching the weather change on the summit on a daily basis. This along with the historical ruins and beautiful Dunalastair Water made the Estate a fascinating place to spend some time.

The cottage was very clean with stunning views. Ourselves + the dogs loved walks both on the estate and nearby. The bed was comfy and it was lovely sat Infront of the log burner on cosy evenings. It was lovely looking out of the window at the bird feeders at red squirrels, woodpeckers and various song birds (please take extra bird seed to top up whilst there)
Highly recommended

Our stay at Old Laundry Cottage with Dunalastair Estates was perfect. The ideal spot to recharge your batteries.
Down a secluded lane in splendid isolation surrounded by fields and mountain views. The contained garden totally surrounding the cottage was perfect for our young dog.
Every home comfort provided. Fantastic customer care from Beatrice who telephoned shortly after our arrival to ensure everything was as it should be, a lovely thought. Lovely walks from the door, red deer visiting morning and evening in the neighbouring field and just the sound of the birds and the weather interrupting the silence, although we considered ourselves lucky with the weather. Wished we lived closer! Highly recommend.

We have stayed at this cottage quite a few times over the last 10 or so years and always had a really great time. The cottage is a perfect couples get away in a beatiful setting. Stepping out the door to hear nothing but birds and the occasional sheep is amazing.
The cottage itself is always clean, well equipped and comfortable. There are some great walks close by and the A9 is only about 20 minutes away leading to Pitlochry, Dunkeld and some other great places to visit. Would definitley recommend and will likely be back for another visit.

The Laundry is a very special place, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our wonderful holiday in the highlands. It's a very comfortable place set in wonderful surroundings in the middle of a forest with wildlife on the doorstep. We saw an eagle, hare, and many many birds. Whilst having a bath after a long journey I saw a small herd of deer from the window, bliss. The location is very special as we were just half an hour from some wonderful places to visit i.e. Pitlochry and its surrounding towns and villages have much to offer visitors. there are many beautiful walks through woodlands where we came across atmospheric Chief's burial grounds. Other delights included an evening watching a local Pipe and Drum concert in the recreation grounds, finding the Black Spout waterfall, Queen's stunning view across the loch, a local Heritage Centre and Brewery. We will definitely be back.

One of the best holiday cottages I have stayed in. It is well equipped with many thoughtful touches provided. Everything from a dog bowl, binoculars, to kitchen necessities like clingfilm, salt and pepper etc. Lots of things that in my experience are not usually provided as standard.
I particularly liked that I was phoned just after I arrived to check that everything was okay.
The cottage has great character and is in a beautiful location. There were excellent opportunities to view wildlife both in the grounds of the estate and from the provided bird feeders.

A Tranquil spot for a relaxing holiday set on the Dunalastair estate you really do feel like its your own wee place off the beaten track but it is not far really from a few wee towns. Views a plenty and not far to the loch. A shame that I couldn't do a number of things I had planned due to a dog injury which meant I was around the cottage more than expected very limited channels on the TV and SKY just doesn't work at all. WIFI speed also very slow., my phone was faster.

Nice to hear that on the whole you enjoyed your recent stay with us in the Old Laundry. Sorry to hear that your dog was unwell while you were here and limiting what you had planned for your visit. The issue with Sky dish has been resolved and this is now working, giving access to the free channels available through Sky. With the property being so far away from the local exchange this does cause the broadband to be slow at times however we have had guests stay who are able to continue to work and use zoom. Around Dunalastair the 4G signal is quite good hence you were able to do things on your phone.

This was our second stay at The Old Laundry. The whole estate is just so tranquil and beautiful. The Old Laundry is in a fabulous location and elevated position which allows you complete privacy. We took our spaniel and she loved the enclosed garden for charging about in, but also the wonderful walks at hand and others within a very short travel distance. Lots of wonderful wildlife to observe - Harriet the hare even came by and let us watch her nibbling juicy dandelion stems on the lawn - what a treat. The Old Laundry is a perfect property for a couple to enjoy downtime. Super comfy bed, squishy sofa and a log burner and of course, that bath with the view! The kitchen is well equipped and you can just bring all your own provisions and not go out, or you can go into Kinloch Rannoch and enjoy the options there for someone else to do the hard work. We have booked a different cottage for next time on the estate but we feel sure we will return to the Old Laundry again at some point. Thank you!

Our last visit was in 2017, couldn’t believe it was that long. Always wanted to go to the Old Laundry since our visits started and did not regret the experience. Stunning scenery and wildlife immediately take you to a place of relaxation, after all the stresses and strains particularly during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Beautiful walks and visits to familiar places like Kinloch Rannoch as well as view from Queens View Terrace.

Just had the most amazing 5 days staying at the old laundry on Dunaliaster Estate. The cottage was beautiful and well laid out for our dogs - loved the separate utility area for the dogs to dry in after swimming in the Loch. Loved all of the walks leaving from the cottage.
Bonus of great host Bridget.

Comfy and characterful cottage where even the washing-up was a pleasure because you could watch the birds on the feeders (forget the dishwasher). Secure garden for the dog to run riot in, and wonderful smells for him in the woods. Lots of walks from the door, wonderfully evocative ruin of the old estate house almost next door, loch 5 minutes walk away. Only problem was dragging yourself away from the estate to explore the local area. Rannoch with its waterfall, loch and cafe nearby, Pitlochry more of a schlep but also worth it.

The TV was playing up but that was brilliant as it forced us to sit and do some jigsaws and just enjoy each others company...,too often the TV goes on in life and you’re preoccupied!

Would be great if there was a 4 slice toaster but that’s just a little little thing

Had a wonderful visit and we will be back

I loved staying here. It was a wonderful place for a retreat from life to ponder a few things and look forward to the coming year. A storm raged outside for most of my stay and I worked my way through several bags of logs for the fire so I was cosy indoors. The cottage is so spacious and every necessity is supplied, so with enough to eat you could stay indefinitely!

Booked this short break as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We had a fantastic time there and came home very relaxed. Everything is provided ,all you need to take is your food and clothing.
We are definitely going to book again ,in fact we can't wait to go back.
They welcome dogs and even provided dog treats .
The accommodation is of a very high standard and extremely clean and the estate manager Beatrice is very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
If you go towards the end of the year , you must visit the Christmas barn run by Noreen , on the same estate.
Overall a fantastic time had

We loved The Old Laundry immediately. It was far bigger and more luxurious than we imagined and the photos don't do it justice, even though the Dunalastair website is generally brilliant.
Really comfy sofa and bed. Great extra seating in armchairs if someone is hogging the sofa! Very much enjoyed the decadent bath under the window - watched the sun go down over the view towards Glencoe with a glass of red and a soak! The kitchen is well equipped and was capable of everything we wanted to do. Love the little table and chairs and watching the birds feed while having our breakfast.
We spent 3 nights and two days being very lazy in front of the log burner interspersed with walks with our spaniel - great opportunities for walking easily or, if you are fit enough, up the nearby Schiehallion which can be viewed from the windows on one side.
In fact, we loved it so much we booked for Easter week 2020 while still there! It's a perfect couple treat!

I think that given we have stayed here 10 times over the years says plenty. We enjoy the remote location of the cottage and the views are fantastic looking up Dunalastair Water and further afield. At this time of the year the trees are very autumnal and so colourful. There are several walks you can take from the Old Laundry and you will see the trees and the odd bambi running around. Also look out for red squirrels
Old Laundry has a unique feature of a roll top bath in the room and its smashing having a bath looking out at the lovely countryside. Also a welcome log burning stove and once the place heats up you will not feel cold.
Enjoy being in the area and at the Dunalastair Cottages. Back in 8 weeks, not that we are counting.
Cheers Mike & Stu

Old Laundry Cottage is one of several of the Dunalastair Estate Cottages, located near Kinloch Rannoch. It is a very convenient location as a base to explore the area. There are many beautiful locations to see within an easy day trip or even half days.
The cottage itself is spacious with a separate mud room/entry room complete with washer and dryer, a separate large kitchen with all the modern conveniences including a dishwasher, a modern walk-in shower in a large bathroom. The main room is huge and has a sitting area with TV and fireplace. The bed is in this main room. Also a soaking tub. In other words exactly as described in the brochure. Strong WiFi signal.
Although only 3 miles from Town the cottages feel isolated and so peaceful, with birds and deer etc.

Spacious, secluded and secure for if you take your dog. Great for viewing the local wildlife, although our week cost us a fortune on food for the numerous birds and red squirrels that visited! Use of a boat and trout fishing on the local loch and river are included, and even if you don't catch anything (I didn't, but the Osprey that was fishing at the same time didn't either) the rowing effort justifies a stiff drink.

This cottage ticked all the boxes on the wish list. Off the beaten track. Able to walk our dogs from the door. Wonderful wildlife to watch especially the red squirrels. Comfortable and cosy warm. Very comfortable bed. View from all the windows was just stunning. No wonder so many people return. We will definitely be back. Lovely welcome, and great people to deal with. The surrounding area is beautiful and interesting and provided us with more than we could fit into a week. Great places to eat near by. The Old Laundry is a very special place.

This is a fantastic little cottage for a couple to get away and relax. The scenery was spectacular and so much to do. Little touches like the fire being made and a pint of milk in the fridge on arrival really made a difference. The private garden was ideal for our dogs to run around. Would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Fantastic location.Very comfortable holiday home with everything you could possibly want. Very windy when we were there, so draughty through the single glaze windows. Loads of wild life including red squirrels on the bird feeders and golden eagles over the hills. Great journey by train from Rannoch to Mallaig, and plenty to see and do in the area. Our satnav brought us to the estate gates, so had no problem finding The Old Laundry.

The Old Laundry is a lovely space, in a stunning setting, with all the amenities you could wish for. Its affordability makes it a place we return to again and again. The gorgeous views from every window, the clean air, the high ceilings and charming interior, the fun available in the near villages - it's got it all. If you like beautiful rambles, charming villages, incredible shopping (House of Bruar just up the road), kind and interesting neighbors, misty mornings, clear skies, lots of birdwatching, rivers to walk along and lochs to explore, the sound of sheep and cattle from the surrounding hills, this is the place for you. Super also for dogs - fully-enclosed yard, and lots of hills for walks.

I really don't want to tell you how good this cottage is. It's a little gem I would rather keep to myself. The perfect holiday destination for a couple who enjoy the great outdoors and want a relaxing stay in a beautiful location. The cottage is really well appointed, clean and comfortable without being too Homes and Gardens, just perfect for returning to after a day's walking with the dogs. The location is stunning and the wildlife visiting the garden offers plenty of photo opportunities. After 20 years of staying in holiday cottages in Scotland, this has to be the best.

A beautiful spacious cottage with a unique layout. Well converted and nice to have fewer larger rooms, rather than having additional bedrooms and bathrooms crammed in, which would have spoiled the character of the place. Spotlessly clean and everything that you could possibly need provided, including a food processor! Huge enclosed garden, ideal for the dog, its just a pity we were too busy out and about to spend much time sitting in the sun, enjoying the amazing views. Plenty of visitors to the garden, providing entertainment over breakfast, including a red squirrel on the first morning and later on in the stay. The cottage is well away from the main road so lovely and peaceful with lots of walking straight from the door.

We stayed the week before Easter when temperatures were still fairly low, with plenty of snow around at the higher levels but we had no problems in keeping the cottage warm - we ended up turning the heating down for most of the time as we were too hot!

We will definitely be back at Dunalastair for a third time and The Old Laundry will be top of the list.

We enjoyed the remote position of the cottage and the dramatic views from the many windows! The cottage is spacious and has a good enclosed garden for dogs. At times, it took a while to get the cottage warm; the storage heaters were working hard but there are a lot of large drafty windows to battle against! We closed the shutters and curtains and this did help. If you are visiting in winter then I would recommend getting coal for the fire as the logs don’t create enough heat. Having said that, it wouldn’t put us off returning!

Nice to hear you enjoyed your recent stay in the Old Laundry here on Dunalastair. The many large windows do make it nice to look out and take in the great views and yes keeping the drafts out can be a problem. But they should be kept at bay if you do close the wooden shutters and draw the heavy curtains. We do supply an additional free standing heater for instant heat if required.

Our second visit to a beautiful cottage in the highlands. One of the things which really appeals to us is having a separate utility and kitchen room, which makes keeping muddy dogs away from the main part of the cottage whilst they are drying off. A well equipped kitchen and a very comfy bed are also great. Good walks around the estate with the dogs when you don't feel like venturing far.

Everything was perfect for that quiet and relaxing holiday we had hoped for. Surrounded by woodland and hills. Snow capped peaks and wonderful views accros the water. Wild animals and birds all made it the place to be. The accommodation was just right and we will be returning.

Just returned from a wonderful break at The Old Laundry. An absolutely superb cottage which was extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the views (I saw my first ever red squirrel!) and although it was hard to tear ourselves away each morning, there were some wonderful walks and places to visit. However it was a real treat to come back to the cottage as the light was drawing in each evening, get the log burner going and pour ourselves a glass of wine. Completely relaxing and a great place to unwind. Many thanks to Beatrice and her team. We WILL be back!

The cottage was warm, welcoming and well equipped. The location was very peaceful, well away from the road and with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The garden teemed with wild birds and from our windows we watched Red Squirrels and deer. Altogether, a great place to stay. We hope to return next year.

Our second visit. Ideal for a couple and secure and dog friendly. You can walk from the door around the lower part of the estate, ideal for exercising the dog. The cottage is unusual and has great charm, comfortable and well equipped.

The Old Laundry has proved an excellent place for a couple and a dog to spend a relaxing stay. The accommodation is of a high standard and situated in a large dog safe garden with beautiful views to the surrounding countryside. It is well placed for visiting in the wider area and for walking locally. We can't think of any way it could be improved.

Spent a wonderful week at the Old Laundry in May with my husband and two dogs. The cottage was comfy and so much bigger than it looks in the photos. Amazing views and wildlife all around and we enjoyed the walks on the estate as well as being a good base to explore the area. The dogs loved the garden which was really secure and safe for them to explore. Lots of information in the cottage to plan walks and days out, still so much to see that we have booked to come back in the autumn!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay in the Old Laundry, it is a big space and many guests like you are surprised by the size when they actually arrive. The wildlife round about always seem to put on a good show for our guests as noted in the nature diary in the cottage. Look forward to seeing you again in the Autumn.

This is our third stay at the Old Laundry. We love it so much here. The peace and tranquility, the surrounding countryside, the walks, the wildlife on your doorstep, the local towns and villages, the fantastic places to eat.
Highlights this year included a close encounter with a Tawny Owl on Dunalastair estate, watching the antics of the Red Squirrels whilst having breakfast, the amazing train journey from Rannoch Station to Fort William with the hundreds of Red Deer to be seen on the moors on our way home and the delicious meal at the Moor of Rannoch Hotel.
We are off to Aviemore for a few nights now.

This was our 8th stay at the Old Laundry, which speaks for itself. The cottage is ideally located for a view down the glen and Dunalastair Water. We love the remoteness of the place. Its such a cosy place to stay and once the log burner is fired up, its so homely. Good facilities, nice big kitchen. Lovely walks in the area. When we arrived there was snow around us, so had time playing in the snow making snowmen, sledging and snowball fights. The weather was pleasant enough to let us get several new walks done, and the sun was shining for us.
Looking forward to getting back sometime.
