In general, we enjoyed our visit to Connemara. However, I would like to feed back to the cottage owner a number of issues, and points for improvement.

1. The immersion did not work at all for heating water.
2. The electric heater in the bedroom could not be switched on.
3. WiFi was adequate for general use, but surely in these times, a package should be chosen which enables streaming.
4. The entrance to the cottage was difficult; hard to find, unattractive, overgrown with weeds, lined with old breeze blocks, very narrow. Turning the car was difficult in front of the cottage, and backing the car in was tricky at best.
5. We could not find a small sharp knife, or tin opener in the cottage – fortunately we had come prepared, or we would have had to buy these items.
6. We were offered the use of recycling bins in the cottage information, but there was no sign of them on the cottage premises.

In general the cottage has potential (location in Connemara is great), but it requires some money spent on it to reach modern standards and expectations for the price paid.

Dear Julia,Thank you for your review however we are extremely dissapointed with some of points mentioned as had contact been made these could have been easily recified for you.We pride ourselves on good customer service as you can see from all positive reviews here, and on many other booking channels.The owner had no contact at all from you during your stay. Had you made contact the immersion and electric heater would have been checked and fixed for you. Had you required additional data this could have also been arranged for you. A sharp knife and tin opener would have been provided also.These items were in the cottage but as you can appreciate with many guests arriving/ departing same day, some items can go missing. We provide all our guests with written directions,GPS coordinates, owner contact details and eircodes to ensure ease of access to the properties. The owner lives next door and had they known you had difficulty turning at the cottage they would have assisted and they would have suggested you park in their driveway. We note the point on the bins and will ensure the owner labels these for future guests. We value and appreciate all guests feedback on our properties and where improvements can be implemented they will be recommended and implemented but please note had contact been made during your stay the above points would have been addressed for you immediately. Again thank you for your review and feedback and should you wish to return in the future please do not hesitate to contact us.

Arrived late on Saturday to a lovely turf fire. House is basically the size of a one bedroom apartment, which is perfectly adequate for 2 people but was very tight when third person arrived and slept on pull-out sofa for a few nights. No issue. House has no views but is very close to some lovely beaches and the golf club. We had very little interaction with the house manager when we were there because we didn't need to, but when we did, she was very responsive. Overall very happy.

Lovely cottage in a spectacular location. The cottage had everything we needed, was very comfortable and perfect for a couple. The location was amazing, so peaceful but handy for the local shop and Clifden. The beaches are amazing and it feels like another world.
