Enjoyed our mid week stay at this quiet rural accommodation. It is close to Oban but completely rural and away from the hustle and bustle. The lodge we stayed in was semi-detached, small but there was enough room for two people. We couldn't get the wi-fi that it said was available but we didn't bother chasing this up with the owners. We ate at the Barn on the site and we enjoyed the food and drink.
Cruachan Cottage is set in its own fenced garden and our dog loved it! The cottage is comfortable with a luxurious bathroom and has everything you need for a weeks holiday in peace and quiet.
As reported directly to Cologin .Our stay was very pleasant apart from one incident which was of no fault to the owners or staff . Apart from that incident we found no fault in our accommodation and would return in the future . In fact possibly this year . We were also thankful for the upgrade that we were given .
Enjoyed our time in the farmhouse, only negative was there was no wardrobe in the downstairs bedroom and no mirror either, having the piano there was a novelty but I’d have preferred a wardrobe, nowhere to hang any clothes was not good, I believe one of the rooms upstairs didn’t have a wardrobe either. The weather was lovely but the bbq was rusty and falling apart so couldn’t be used. Love the fire. We have been to Cologin before in chalets and will return for sure, likely not to the farmhouse but that is purely due to numbers. Would recommend if your with a large party
We had a fantastic time staying at Cologin and we were all sad to leave when it came to the end of our stay. The site is so peaceful which was a wonderful break from the normal hustle and bustle of life. The views are incredible and so if you are looking for a quiet break away from business then this is the place for you. The lodges are basic but well equipped providing everything you would need for a quiet week away. The Barn provides delicious food and friendly service, a must visit. Thanks to all for a wonderful week, we are looking forward to staying again soon.
We enjoyed our holiday and the peace and quiet of Cologin was remarkable. The Barn was a good place to eat and was child friendly. The worst part of the holiday was the single track, bumpy access road and the fact that you had to get in your car to go anywhere. However, we may well go back again!
