House was amazing and like a Tardis , absolutely loved the door and the style of the windows , perfect for all our family as there were three generations there , kitchen was perfect hub for socialising for us , would maybe have liked a few more double beds but we worked it out perfectly,
This house was absolutely perfect for our group celebrating a hen party. There was 12 of us in the main house and there was ample room for us all. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location was perfect for walking into Windermere and a short taxi from Bowness. The house was clean and had all facilities that were needed for our weekend. The communication from the hosts was brilliant prior to and throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a fabulous weekend!
Fantastic house. Second time I have stayed in one of The Terrace houses and can’t wait to go back. Everything is brilliant and couldn’t pick a single fault.
Lovely stay with family, extremely well equipped house everything you needed, even thermos flask, good if you go on a hike. Highly recommend.
My family meet in Windermere every year and come in from all over the world. We usually stay at Boston House, but this year we had to try Number One. Even though some of the family had to cancel due to illness, everyone still had a wonderful time. They actually preferred Number One to Boston House (just) which I never thought I'd hear them say. Great house, great hosts and an amazing location. See you next year!
We used the cottage along with the main house and it was perfect for providing the extra space we required for our party size. The cottage is set back from the main house so could be used as a separate booking. The cottage felt very peaceful providing gorgeous views of the lakes and fells. The bedrooms were perfectly set up to provide more than enough room for 6 guests. The only negative to note is that the kitchen felt very dated and did not seem to fit in with the rest of the house, but we did not need to use it as we had the main house and it was purely a decorative issue, all f...more
We had a large group staying for the weekend and we had the best time! The location is absolutely brilliant, close to Windermere village with lovely walks straight from the door. The house was so well kitted out, with everything we could possibly have needed. The rooms were so well set up and beds were extremely comfy! The property itself is beautiful! Thank you so much, couldn’t recommend it more!
