Stayed at the other end terrace house the first time with family and we loved it. Thrilled that we were offered a bargain rate for the last availability for Number One for a last minute cousins trip. Great location. It’s a perfect sized, well equipped home for large groups who want to do various daytime activities and then convene in the evening for dinner and chilling. Large, clean, spacious rooms. Beds were a bit too soft for me personally and the curtains were a little dusty. Other than these minor details, I can’t fault the place. Thank you for having us!
Fantastically located and equipped house, ideal for a group trip to the Lakes. Andrew was a brilliant communicator and all the information was provided in a clear way in advance of our stay, he was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and responsive to any questions we had. Alice Howe is a lovely large house with everything & more you could need for your holiday. We are a party of 4 couples, the bedrooms with en-suites worked well for us all. The house was spotless, all the rooms are really tastefully decorated. After a day exploring the many attractions we spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden & the lovely hot tub. We even watched a movie in the cinema room which is brilliant! Location of the house couldn’t be better. The house was absolutely perfect for us, each room is spacious and has everything you need. All bedrooms were amazing and pretty much sound proof which is great for a large group. The beds were very comfy and each room had a bathroom or en suite so plenty of toilet/shower space for everyone. The garden and hot tub were brilliant and the cinema room was an amazing end to our weekend. Would definitely recommend this house and would stay again!
We have thoroughly enjoyed another stay in Orrest Head Cottage. The cottage has stunning views and is in a very good position for visiting the lovely locations within the Lake District and walking distance of Windermere and Bowness on Windermere and of course Orrest Head walk which starts just outside the gate. The cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable stay and our two pooches Doodles and Cooper loved the welcoming drinks stand. The cottage is spotlessly clean with every amenity you will need. We will be returning in the future.
A beautiful property, a group of 14 stayed at the property for a Hen Party. It is a great location, an easy walk into Windermere with Booths supermarket, shops, restaurants and pubs near by. The property is very well equipped, it’s decorated tastefully and feels really homely. Lots of space and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms meant no waiting to get ready. Many of our party said they would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
