Had a good weekend here to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family. The house is old but spacious & comfortable & very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. In a good location with plenty of private parking & each of the 7 bedrooms have their own bathroom, 5 of which are ensuite. They also allowed dogs which you pay extra for, have a small cinema room & a good sized hot tub in the back yard. Alice Howe is part of a terrace of similar multi bedroom houses which can be used as a 'party' house so bear in mind celebrations can be noisy & carry on into the early hour...more
Our stay at No.1 The Terrace in Windermere was absolutely perfect. The house is beautifully spacious, easily accommodating our group of six, yet it still felt incredibly cosy and welcoming. Every detail has been thought through, making it a truly luxurious place to stay. The extra touches really made the experience special – the jacuzzi was perfect for unwinding after a day exploring, the private bar area made evenings feel extra fun, and the cinema room was an amazing addition for cosy nights in. White Moss is in an excellent location for Windermere & nearby Bowness & the Lake. The house has everything for a comfortable stay. The hot tub & cinema room were a great hit with everyone. We stayed at Bannerrigg many years ago & White Moss was just as good.
Excellent facilities, house well equipped, comfortable, and plenty of space within the house. Shops, cafes pubs and restaurants close by. Close to bus station to travel throughout the Lakes without using the car.
Our first time at the cottage and we loved it, so much we’ve already booked again. Nice size for 4 adults, baby grandson and dog, very comfortable and clean. Good location minutes walk to the village but private garden with parking. Highly recommended.
For a large family gathering, this house is perfect. It’s extremely well situated in the heart of Windermere, right by the station, the bus depot and Booths supermarket. The hot tub is a great addition. 5 of the 7 bedrooms are en-suite and 4 are doubles. There is plenty of parking so it’s very convenient for large groups. If anything, the bedding is feather so may not suit everyone, otherwise, the house is extremely well provided for, especially the kitchen and cooking facilities. We would definitely re-book.
16 of us stayed at the property for a hen weekend and it was perfect for us. We had caterers in for a lovely dinner and we enjoyed running a quiz and photo story on the screen in the cinema room.
