We stayed at Orrest Head House as two families for a week in summer. From initially booking through to the end of our stay, the experience was of the highest quality. It's a lovely house in a great location, convenient for both drivers and public transport users. Close enough to the Lake and other activities to be convenient while offering a significant private space to spread out and enjoy. The morning walk up Orrest Head is very special!
Had the best weekend at Bannerrigg, the house was absolutely beautiful! Perfect location and great hosts. Will definitely be looking to return with the family for a special occasion.
We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage! Very comfortable with great views. Excellent location, just a short walk to Windermere where there is a Booths supermarket and several bars and restaurants. The cottage is close to the railway station and bus stops. We would love to stay here again!
Fantastic weekend had, Alice howe is in a excellent location in proximity to Windermeres facilities and lovely walks with the dogs. We had 11 in our party which made the space at Alice howe comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and it was lovely to have a private hot to enjoy!. Some of the furnishings in living room could do with an update and cleanleness in the bathrooms could be better but all in all we had a comfortable enjoyable weekend at Alice Howe.
Lovely old house in an excellent location. T/V room received plenty of use when sheltering from diabolical weather. Only small gripe was that the property needs some TLC in its next close season, primarily to the drainage system as the flow-away is very slow.
We were a group of older people staying at Boston house,we all have various health issues, but Boston house suits us all. It would have been good to have a rail to help us get up the front step, but otherwise perfect
