The cottage is in a perfect location, plenty of parking and in walking distance to shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The cottage itself was immaculate, beautiful and roomy, There is everything you can think of in the cottage and the hot tub and cinema room was an added bonus. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good in sizes too and the bed I stayed in was very comfortable. We had lovely weather when staying here but inside the cottage was also warm and cozy so I would imagine in colder months it would still be perfect. Would definitely recommend staying here. White Moss is in an excellent location for Windermere & nearby Bowness & the Lake. The house has everything for a comfortable stay. The hot tub & cinema room were a great hit with everyone. We stayed at Bannerrigg many years ago & White Moss was just as good.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. When we arrived one cot was faulty, and the manager quickly replaced it, which was appreciated. Niggles were first that the tumble dryer never worked. I contacted the owner on the Wednesday only to be told that it would be dealt with when we left on Friday. Second the hot tub was supposed to be maintained daily. On the Wednesday I reported that the water was cloudy, and no one had seen the maintenance team. The next day they turned up and immedistely drained the water and put in fresh. We really loved this house. Very good size rooms and lovely ensuite showers. Had some great evenings in the bar. Great location. Would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone.
I cannot recommend Bannerrigg enough! We had an absolutely fantastic weekend and have multiple members of our party looking to book again in the future. The information provided before and during our stay enabled us to organise food delivery, catering and taxis for all of our activities meaning everything ran very smoothly. The amount of space you have for a large group is also fantastic, we never felt cramped or limited on room and the fact that everyone gets their own bed makes for a very comfortable stay. For a group of 5 adults the cottage was absolutely perfect. It was immaculately clean, well furnished and the owners have provided everything you need for self catering - plenty glasses, crockery etc in the kitchen and of good quality. There was a supply of tea, coffee, sugar as well as kitchen cleaning stuff. The beds were extremely comfy, good quality towels were provided, as well as loo roll and lovely hand-wash in the bathrooms. The house is exactly what it says on the tin. The whole family enjoyed being there and we didn't even get into the cinema or play darts!! If there was one thing that would have made it better it would have been to turn the whole terrace through 180 degrees so that the afternoon and evening sun was on the back areas which were obviously more private.
