Kinlochlaich House is an historic Scottish country house set in its own beautiful gardens on the south facing slopes of the Appin hills, close to sea with views to the mountains. You can stay in self contained apartments in the main house, a cottage in the grounds or a unique award winning eco tree house. The grounds include an octagonal walled garden, tennis court, table tennis pavilion, lawns and a woodland walk.
It's private within its own garden despite a couple of other holiday lets being close by. It doesn't have any views (which we were spoilt with on previous West- Coast and Island holidays) but it has a very nice feel and has a great outdoor space especially if you're with a toddler. There were swings, a kids 'tree house', hills to climb and islands to visit on the door step, and places like Glencoe and Oban within easy reach. Fiona is on hand and always helpful. Port Appin nearby has wonderful views and Castle Stalker from the beach by The Old Inn is very exciting - for both child and adult! If...more
