Auchendennan Courtyard Studio Apartment is a single-storey barn conversion set in the main farm courtyard. Completed in 2011 it boasts a large living area with a further double bedroom and large bathroom.

This property is ideal for couples or small groups looking for short breaks or attending local weddings, within walking distance of The Cruin, Duck Bay and Cameron House Wedding venues and just a short car journey to Luss and Boturich Castle.

This cottage benefits from a super king size double bed, a modern fully fitted kitchen with all the facilities for self catering; 32" T.V with Sky tv package, dvd and free wi-fi.

Generally comfortable stay, obviously being a courtyard studio, there isn't much of a view and you can feel like you are in a goldfish bowl, perhaps some blinds would be good, but that said, people only walk past occasionally.
Good points include superking bed, very effective kitchen area, car parked only a few feet away.
Dinning table and chairs were obviously chosen for being space saving, but I found the chairs uncomfortable, the sofa was comfortable though!
Whist everything was usable, it does feel to me that some maintenance is needed, e.g. bath plug lifter doesn't work when water is in the bath, bathroom basin popup plug lets water slowly drain when down, few cracked tiles by the bath, freezer compartment in fridge in dire need of defrosting!
Having said that, we enjoyed stay at Loch Lomond, which is a beautiful area, Firkin point was good for my wife's mobility scooter, saw some Red Squirrel's at the wildlife hide at Lodge Forest and Balloch castle country park was also good for the mobility scooter.

Nice property and decent location for a short stay, but we had a few issues that are easily resolved, but were not to our satisfaction. First issue was the lack of hot water on the first day. It wasn’t possible to have a warm shower or wash dishes because of it and we boiled the kettle to wash ourselves and the dishes - not ideal! Secondly, the bathroom sink was extremely slow to drain perhaps 20 minutes, so we used the kitchen sink instead. This exposed another issue, that of privacy. It felt like we were living in a fish bowl and the simple expedient of adding net curtains to the windows would have alleviated this problem. Hot water and a sink that drained are more of a problem and although we had hot water on our second night, it was again off on our last morning. There was no anti-slip mat in the shower either, so grip on the bath bottom was also tenuous, again, an easily resolved problem.

We booked out every property for our wedding guests in April and we would highly recommend Auchendennan Farm. Angela, James and the whole team are so kind, helpful and relaxed. Every property was in super condition, clean, the location is fantastic and we would definitely return for our own holiday!

This was my first trip to Lock Lomond and I am so glad i booked my stay here. It was immaculately clean and everything was provided, even sharp knives in the kitchen! The staff were WONDERFUL. Angela was so genuinely warm and helpful and Gordon, the gardener who took time out to show me the best walks and views, added to the experience. I highly recommend. Also the location is perfect, just far enough away from the crowds but only a 10 min walk from the Loch. Perfect all round.

The apartment is very spacious with a large living dining area, with 2 very comfy sofas, a big bathroom with a bath, great for a soak after a long day walking and a massive super king bed. Immaculately clean and everything you need, also very handy having the smart tv so you can just sign into Netflix, prime etc (though the WiFi signal was a bit challenging on the Saturday night when more people were in the cottages?). There is no garden or lawned area outside this cottage if you bring a dog (which we knew) but there is less than 10 seconds walk from the front door. Lovely set up all round, the only thing that was surprising was how busy the road on that side of the loch is, you can hear it from the cottages but it's not a deal breaker. Would return with friends to try one of the bigger properties.

Our family had a fabulous time together in two of the properties. The dogs enjoyed the walks, the teens enjoyed the hot tub, the adults enjoyed the scenery and we all loved the opportunity to spend time together in the spacious dining/lounge/kitchen.

My partner and I loved the studio, it was a lot larger than we anticipated.
Ideal location for our visit, being close to Loch Lomond and Balloch.
David was very helpful with accommodating our dog.

This property is just wonderful. The place the people and location couldn’t be better.

The studio had absolutely everything you could want and is well put together for comfort.

Had a fabulous Easter weekend.

Will definitely be back for longer next time
