Spread across the beautiful 22-acre estate and tucked amongst the trees, our cabins are the perfect escape for those of you who want to step back from the intensity of life and unplug. Designed for maximum comfort and relaxation, four of our cabins have their own en-suite bathrooms, with Roost and Gaggle using our shared garden washhouse. All come with a sumptuous double bed with luxury linens.

A beautiful spot with a great choice of places to stay - from bell tents and cabins to tree houses and barns. We love the rowing boats on the lake and the relaxed & quirky nature of the place.

Everything was brilliant . The whole place is very peaceful and comfortable. Just perfect to escape from city life for a few days and recharge and refresh.
The only small improvement I would suggest is a firmer/new bed.

I loved staying in the cabin! It was warm and cosy, with amazing views of the lake. There were curtains all around so it felt private and safe in the evenings. The hot water bottle and kettle in the room were a lovely touch as it was a particularly cold weekend. Bevy cabin has a small bathroom which was lovely with really nice hot water in the shower.

I would definitely recommend a stay in the cabins at West Lexham!

The cabin was clean and welcoming. Had a great shower which was powerful and hot! Some lovely touches such as fairy lights around the ceiling gave the cabin a cosy atmosphere.
The grounds of West Lexham are beautiful, especially around the walk around the lake.

We would have like a bigger bed in the cabin as it was small for two adults and a second pillow each would make it more comfortable.
The sign to the entrance gate was very difficult to see in the dark.

West lexham manor is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The setting is amazing. Our accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable.

Our welcome was not as we expected. The young lady who greeted us was a little distracted by her phone and not interested in our queries. That was the low point.

Everything from then on was wonderful. The kitchen team are very talented and the food was great value.

We will be back.

Pros: Stunning setting, the lake and all the grounds were gorgeous, and I really enjoyed the walks and getting lost in the maze of nature trails. Idlyic! Accomodation was clean and nice. The cafe served delicious food. The pool was a perfect temperature and very clean. This would be the perfect place for a group retreat. The quality of the food in the cafe was excellent.

Cons - I do feel it was over-priced, by a good 30%, particularly for a solo traveller. Dogs barking, and there did seem to be a wasp issue although I understand these aren't the fault of WL. They should perhaps do shuttle/transfers for travellers without cars, as the taxis were very expensive. The check in was a bit basic - the lady was friendly didn't really tell me anything. it would have been nice to have been told a quick overview of the basics (I had to ask several questions as nothing was forthcoming). I had obviously read the website thoroughly, but still.

Overall: I would recommend this place. it's a beautiful setting, accomodation for all tastes, and fairly well organized. Very family (and dog ) friendly.

Booked as a one night getaway , along with our four year old boy. Lovely mattress laid out for him on arrival, great amenities and location amazing! Great map of the site- fire pit and everything needed to light it left for use. Rowing boat and life jackets provided was fantastic- we he a great time.

Only issues faced in cabin were the timer for the bathroom light never went off as the bathroom door does not shut properly- we ended up having to wedge it shut when wanting to use or to get some sleep without the light disturbing us!

Thanks for a great stay , we highly recommend

A wonderful break in a beautiful place , West Lexham nourishes the soul . The swim in the outdoor pool was fabulous as were the breakfast treats . Thank you for a lovely stay … we’re back with friends again soon !

I absolutely loved my stay in the Bevy cabin at West Lexham. The cabin was spotless when I arrived and the decor was very tasteful. The grounds are stunning and everything, including the cabins/tents/treehouses looked very well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful, but not invasive, which added to an overall relaxing stay. I would 100% return to West Lexham and recommend it to anyone. I also had a pizza in the restaurant, which was perfect and couldn't have asked for better food, which you could tell was fresh and organic.

How was your experience at West Lexham?
My only recommendation would be to put a curtain/blind in the toilet as although the trees covered the window, I still felt a little conscious about privacy - especially at night when there was minimal lighting outside but the cabin light was on inside :) Also would be nice to have access to a kettle and refrigerator.

It’s a long time since I felt so sad to leave a place. One of the most idillic locations I’ve ever seen and a perfect space to switch off from this complicated life. My 10 yr old son loved swimming and rowing in the lake.
Our trip was made extra special by Michelle who couldn’t have helped us feel more at home. Thanks to you all for a wonderful time. Jo, Finn and Mabel xxx
