Pipeline Cottage has been masterfully transformed from a derelict chapel into a contemporary self catering cottage with a stylish touch. Situated on a hillside above Dolgarrog, Pipeline Cottage gazes over superb scenery and has the best possible view of Surf Snowdonia and the scenery beyond.

We had a good stay however we spent half a day cleaning the place, the oven was dirty, we had to hover the debris from the base and de grease the oven, this looked like it had never been cleaned in months. Cob webs had to be hovered and when we arrived the external bins were completely full and were not emptied during our stay. No working light bulbs in the lamps or any spares on hand for us to change them. The upstairs shower control would not work, this has been reported to the site contact.
The property was realy nice and in a great location but was let down by the lack of care and attention to the points made above.

This is a lovely cottage in a quiet location. The cottage itself is lovely with great facilities. I would say it could do with some updates (showers could be cleaner) but overall it is a great place to stay. Not sure if we came on a busy weekend but there were a couple of items missing (lightbulbs, toilet and kitchen roll) and if you intend to use the washing machine bring your own washing tablets/powder. We would definitely stay again.

Initially, the property looks great but the cleanliness is appalling. Mould in one of the bathrooms, kitchen equipment covered in old grease, a third of the downstairs lights not working, masses of cobwebs in the stairwell. It has a great location, is well laid out with the interior design but just badly let down by the lack of cleanliness which, judging by the comments from the previous two hirers is an ongoing problem. The fact that there are these areas of concerns begs the question whether the owners/agents are actually sanitising things between lets?

The accommodation is well located near a number of activities for the family. There is a good amount of space though it really lacks an outdoor area for enjoying the views.
The cleanliness was shocking - grease filled trays in the oven, used sanitary products on the floor and dust and cobwebs which showed cleaning was not performed diligently - bad in most times but during a pandemic quite shocking

The cottage looked lovely from the outside, but overflowing bins right outside door put us off. This wasn't just the previous visitors' rubbish, it looked like it had accumulated over a longer period.
Inside the cottage was clean with anti-bacterial soap left for our use and spray for the worktops. Unfortunately the freezer had not been checked as one of the drawers was not clean.

This was our Honeymoon in what should have been in the Maldives but we had a wonderful stay for 7 days in a lovely cottage in a lovely location.
We would recommend staying here as it’s in a god location too only 15 miles from Conwy and Llandudno and other seaside resorts and also an hour from south stank and it’s light house which was wonderful.
Really good honeymoon stay!

The cottage was lovely. Warm, clean and amply big enough for 4. The location is excellent, although at first it seems a bit out in the sticks, most major attractions were within half hour drive. With a few extra additions this cottage would be perfect, eg coat hooks in the hall etc.

We were very impressed with the space and decor at Pipeline Cottage. There were some welcome goodies waiting for us, which were most appreciated. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in the area. We loved the ensuite bathrooms, plus the fact that there's an additional downstairs bathroom. The property would be ideal for those who wish to make use of Surf Snowdonia as it's a short walk away, and is clearly visible from the property.
A few minor problems arose during our stay, the most annoying of which was the fact that the recycling wasn't collected, even though we put it out on the roadside, and the general waste wasn't collected, despite the neighbouring properties having theirs collected. I suspect the property is being missed by the council as it's not in permanent use. The outside lighting wasn't working. We alerted Great Escapes to this but didn't hear back. A few of the fittings were loose and need attention.
Overall Pipeline Cottage has the potential to be an outstanding holiday let, just a few tweaks here and there would take it up that extra notch. It would really only take a morning's work for someone to rectify minor issues and turn the property from one I wouldn't recommend to one I would.

Peace and quiet at the hill side overlooking Surf Snowdonia, you can see the surfers from the bedroom windows
The cottage is spacious and well equipped with modern décor. There was a bottle of Prosecco and a loaf of fruit cake greeting us upon arrival, a nice touch.
The television signal is weak in particular with BBC stations. All local attractions are within easy reach. Major supermarkets, a short drive away.
There are parking spaces outside the cottage for two cars, but the road coming up the hill side leading to the cottage is a little challenging with narrow, steep and winding path, need to pass with care as there were full of parked cars along the passage. There was a private hire mini-bus parked by the entrance to the cottage making it very difficult to get in and out.
The cottage driveway is shared with the church next door, we encountered some friendly church- goers on Sunday morning, they parked their cars neatly in front of the church, not bothering us at all.
There was some excavation work above the cottage during our stay which spoiled the tranquillity of the place.
Privacy is also being invaded by people using the outside driveway as a turning point and as a car park, people just parked their cars and then walk passed the cottage, there is no privacy which ruined the peacefulness of your stay, make sure you draw the curtains if you do not wish people to see the inside.
Other than those, we enjoyed the stay and was pleased with this cottage.

Sleek modern high end appliances in the kitchen, large family dining area as well as comfortable sofa's in the sitting room area. The whole cottage was beautifully clean and had special touches like X large towels, toiletries, d.v,d player having 3 bathrooms was handy, the whole cottage was well thought out and planned perfect. The location is ideal for exploring north Wales with lots to do within 30 mins drive.

A well presented comfortable cottage, well appointed and in a nice position overlooking Surfing Snowdonia. The two en suites upstairs and separate shower room downstairs is an excellent idea.
The heating units although a little difficult to programme, if you don't know them, are very efficient when mastered. The kitchen is very nice and well laid out. A pity previous guests had not all looked after it . Having said that we would love to return and would recommend Pipeline to others. Thanks for what was a lovely week
