This location, whilst tricky to find, is just fantastic; breathtaking views and peace and quiet! The cottage was clean and well equipt, including information about the area and lots of board games. Our kids LOVED feeding the chickens our scraps and the pool was a big hit and a decent size for proper swimming. We had good weather so largely used the house as a base to explore the area and all the beaches. The owner was friendly and helpful, but kept to himself which we appreciated. We would certainly recommend this property to friends and family and would book again should we go to the same are...more
We spent two weeks of our summer vacation in Nant y Glyn. From the beginning we felt at home. The house is tastefully renovated and furnished and very well equipped. The owners thought of everything you might need for a longer stay (with kids). Nigel and Kim are very friendly and considerate and gave us good advice where to go and what to see. The town is a peaceful little countrytown appr. 8 kilometres from the sea. Snowdonia is very close, Bodnant Gardens, many castles, beautiful little towns and lots of hiking routes. We went to many places all over North Wales. If you want to go and see ...more
What a gem of a find. From the moment we opened the door on the first day we knew we had made the right choice in booking this property. The furniture was to a high standard and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. It was a lovely personal touch having scones, milk and tea waiting for us. The property was in a great position only minutes from the harbour and even less to the shops. Parking was tight but was managable. Conwy itself is beautiful with lovely walks along the wall and an easy walk into Deganwy. Looking forward to booking for next year.
Mariners is a wonderful, recently renovated, cottage at a very nice location. The masters bedroom looks out over the Conwy estuary, Conwy castle, and the Mynydd y Dref. Every day this view appears different and it changes with the light and the tide. This spot is just a short drive from great beaches, and the wonderful outdoors of Snowdonia park. The cottage is very comfortable, cozy and ideal for a small family. There is a good (small) supermarket and a nice pub on walking distance. Other conveniences are in villages nearby (bus, or car). The owners are great, very nice people and available...more
Fantastic spacious house ideal location, beach on the doorstep, loved the sea views from balcony, and evening sunsets ideal for family get togethers
The accommodation was superb. The amount of space and views was fantastic and we will certainly be back. Everything was as it should be and the price may seem a bit expensive however you get your money’s worth without a doubt. Can’t wait to come back!
A beautiful house in a lovely location. Has everything you need inside and great outside space too. Immaculately presented and the owner’s communication was brilliant. Will definitely book again when in North Wales as it’s an excellent base for exploring the whole area.
Perfect cottage for time away with the family. Lovely views, peaceful location and close to lots of places to visit. Swimming pool was an added bonus loved by the kids. Nice gardens for kids to run around and hens to feed. Cottage had all the things you would need and was lovely and clean. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.
Having spent a fabulous week at Plas Afron Cottage with my family We all agreed that it was an amazing experience from the cottage it’s self which was as good as if not better than the pictures on site when we booked to the location which allowed us easy access for touring about the wonderful North Wales. The Cottage was beautifully laid out with lovely touches one being garden which had magical fairy lights that with the back drop of the hills and great weather was very nice for sitting out after a busy day seeing the sites. My children were delighted with rooms one being on suite and my ...more
We loved our holiday at Harbour View. The apartment is even better than it looks in the photos! The rooms are very large and beds comfy. Lovely shower, and bathroom upstairs with jacuzzi. The views were amazing across the estuary and great for bird spotting when the tide is out. Also a lovely view to Conwy castle There is a large television if you get bored, bring your own music though - most people use their phones anyway! There is a very good pub that does excellent food just around the corner and the staff are great. We still had things to do on our list, the variety of activities and plac...more
Had a lovely time thank you. Glorious setting and very hospitable hosts. All three cottages were lovely and worked well for three families.
Very comfortable house in great position. Criccieth is a gem, not to be missed. Our third stay in three years, says it all.
This is our third visit to this cottage as it’s location, facilities and size are great for our family. The children love the sun room/ play room and it’s only a couple of minutes from beautiful Beaumaris pier. An excellent base for north Wales and I’m sure we’ll be back.
My husband, daughter, our little Schnoodle Daisy and I had a lovely stay at Beaumaris Lodge. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed in a “home from home”. The welcome cake was a lovely surprise as was the other supplies left for us in the fridge (fresh milk, eggs etc) We had a wonderful week exploring Anglesey and spent relaxing evenings on the decking in the sunshine after dinner. We all agreed Beaumaris Lodge gets a massive “thumbs up” !
Lovely property set in idyllic surroundings with spectacular view of Conway Castle. Secluded but only a short drive from amenities and beauty spots. We hope to return later in the year.
very well presented with plenty of added extras that were appreciated.being old, the stairs presented a bit of a problem. but we enjoyed our stay.
Stayed in the farmhouse with my husband and 2 children (13 & 6) and had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay. The farmhouse location ensures privacy, comfort and silence (except the odd sheep!) Even with its secluded location half way up the huge hill, its not very far to drive to get to the most gorgeous beaches and the thrills of all the activities north wales has to offer. We had the best time and the farmhouse provided a real 'home from home' at the end of each fun packed day!!
Excellent location. Enjoyed walks with our dog with lovely views in all directions. Great castle and walls. Fish and chip shop superb at bottom of the road. 200 metres approx. Obvious drawback is parking for a large car. Good job the neighbors are so friendly. Property nice and clean. Very comfortable bed. .The weather just topped off our week by being sunny and warm. Had a great time.
My wife and I said "Wow" quite a lot as we were shown around Caretaker's Cottage on arrival. It looks beautiful and the closer you look the more you find to appreciate in the attention to detail in the artwork, the furnishings, the fabrics, colours, books and dvds. The bottle of wine and fabulous cake on the table also hint at the appreciation of comfort and sensuality that the apartment rewards. Special mention goes to the fantastic central heating and hotwater supply. These both worked brilliantly. Likewise, the kitchen is very well appointed. And both beds are very comfortable and large. ...more
As advertised this property is compact, but was absolutely perfect for our family stay, ( 3 children under 11). We spent a lot of time out and about. The house has been really well finished, and a good bathroom and shower. The back terrace was great for sitting out on and the location of the house was perfect for walking in and around Conwy, including the amazing city walls. We did not have an issue with parking as we were happy to park elsewhere, however the only downside for some visitors could be the somewhat tricky, steep parking in the dead end street outside the house.
Six of us oldies stayed there for a week and we enjoyed our splendid week's holiday in a lovely house. Even the weather was kind to us with plenty of sunshine by day and rain at night. The house has plenty of room, comfortable beds, 3 En-suite bathrooms with powerful showers, Aga in kitchen, big TV, WiFi that worked, mobile phone reception in the annex at the front of the house. All our requirements ticked off. The Coop supermarket in Llanwrst is a nice store and only a mile away. The Tir A Mor fish/chip take-away and restaurant in the town is highly recommended. From the warm welcome by Beth the owner with her delicious home made Bara Bryth to her goodbyes a week later....everything was perfect. The accommodation is second to none....the kitchen is the best equipped I have seen....but if you do not fancy cooking...there are two pubs nearby that have a good menu... the lounge has a beautiful log fire with two comfy sofas to curl up on ...the bedroom has superb panoramic views of the beautiful surrounding area... You are within driving distance of lots of beautiful lakes castles and the seaside.... we shall definitely return...
We couldn't have booked better for our needs. We wanted a view - we got a great one. We didn't want tiny rooms - it was nice and spacious. We wanted a bath - we had a lovely bath and an excellent shower. We wanted a good location - it was right by the marina and train station. What's not to like!
Lovely cottage with friendly hosts. Great location, away from it all, but near all the local attractions
Beautiful property in the national park. Well equipped kitchen and nice shower room. Property is an ideal base to explore the surrounding area and owners are on site if you have need of assistance.
Beautiful Cottage set in Lovely Surroundings. Ideal for well behaved Dogs. Just needs to Show alternative locality route to the Cottage
The owners of the cottage are amazing, really helpful and friendly. The location is superb, close to all the natural attractions. The gallery and coffee shop are a must; tastefully done and a great place to relax. The grounds are equally beautiful. The cottage itself is really nicely done with all the comfort you need. I would say this is the most beautiful cottage I have been in for a very long time. The only problem was that the kitchen and downstairs (apart from the bathroom) were too cold as the radiators in those areas did not get warm enough. We reported this to the owners and I am su...more
Bref, adresse recommandable.
All our party were blown away by the cottage, the views and the stunning location. It was well equipped, cosy and comfortable. All our party commented on the joy of waking up to birdsong, no traffic noise, and the peace and tranquility of the location. Even though the weather was poor, especially for the time of year we still got out and enjoyed the walks. There is a cafe located a reasonable walk away at the other lake which serves a great cakes and food (including gluten free bread) with a joke and a smile and is well worth a visit. From the cottage we could see people canoeing and ...more
The view is what this apartment has going for it. Unfortunately the windows are covered in bird dirt the bed room especially bad. A lot of steps to the property so if you have any mobility problems or have small children not for you. If you want to use the second bedroom there are two industrial extractor fans going until late at night at the back of property. Comfortable enough property but a few things not communicated in description.
Great stay, we all enjoyed the cottage, the facilities are all good, and the property is well equipped, the views are pretty good too. Would’nt hesitate to recommend it.
We were not met as promised or told the key was under the porch mat. Greeted with two large black slugs in the conservatory. Double bed has a broken spring that boings every time one turns over. The refrigerator door will only open and shut if you open the dishwasher door. No washing machine. Conservatory roof leaks in heavy rain No instructions as to how to work the heating system Not all the rings or the oven worked on the cooker. All in All not recommended and too expensive for the facilities provided.
