Tucked away peacefully among the streams and woodlands of the Fairy Glen lies the simply exquisite Nant Uchaf. This is truly a wonderful cottage where the old and the new meet seamlessly, from the peaceful lane you will see the traditional exterior of a fine Welsh cottage, however the second you walk through the gate and into the private patio you immediately realise that this house has been designed carefully and lovingly with an eye for something very special and modern.

We stayed at Nant Uchaf for one week with our three children (ages 4, 6 and 9). The location was beautiful and so peaceful, ideal for exploring the local area. We had day trips to LLandudno, Anglesey, and Conwy. All within very close distance.
The property itself was extremely clean, the welcome basket on arrival was a lovely treat, and we appreciated the basics that were also provided (tea, coffee, milk, bread).
The house is extremely comfortable, with lovely touches and decor, the kitchen is especially well stocked - my daughters and I made cupcakes on one of the rainier days, and we didn't lack for anything. The children loved the hot tub, and my husband and I loved curling up with the fire in the evenings. It was very helpful to have the washer and tumble drier as well!
Communication prior to our visit was very good and the owners provided some very helpful recommendations as well.
We were at the cottage to celebrate a milestone birthday and it didn't fail to deliver - a very special place for a special occasion!

We had an excellent stay at Nant Uchaf, the house was very well furnished and equipped for cooking. Very quiet thanks to it's location with plenty of walking from the doorstep.
It's also a good base for doing some of the bigger walks around Snowdonia.

Would definitely stay again.

Stayed over the Christmas period with family , everyone thoroughly enjoyed it , stunning views and great location, the hot tub was very well used and is a great bonus , pub down the road was excellent,

The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived, the house is spacious and has been renovated to a very high standard in particular the kitchen is beautiful with excellent views down the valley. The owners should be commended not only on the standard of the property but the care they take in preparing for your stay, so many items are provided for your convienence from kitchen utensils to even a rucksack and many other usefull items, a hamper of essentials such as milk, tea, cake etc had been left for us and even fresh flowers. The hot tub is a very nice feature and the lawned area and patios are great particularly if you visit with children. We had a great stay and really enjoyed our week. It has to be said that their are cheaper places to rent but we felt that the standard of this house made the cost value for money and as we stayed with four adults and two young children we found it comfortable and spacious.

What a gorgeous home from home! Surrounded by so much natural beauty but only a few minutes drive from local amenities and plenty to do within short drives away! The house is modern, beautiful and clean, equipped with everything you could need for time away! We would love to return given the time and opportunity. Amazing week in North Wales!

A perfect location just off the coastal road to allow total privacy in a wonderful setting. But complete ease of access onto the coastal road to visit all of the North Wales local tlourist spots , castles, gardens & beaches. And Angelsey was also only approx 30 to 40 minutes drive to more wonderful beaches , in particular Belnllech Beach..
The property & gardens were absolutely stunning and wanted for nothing. Pristine condition , comfort & cleanliness.
Finally - just as important - is that the company of 'Great Escapes Wales ' were a pleasure to deal with and Ben Griffin dealt with our initial enquiry booking & payments and follow-up queries promptly and fully - would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone else.

The location of Nant Uchaf is idyllic make you feel like you are away from everything the perfect place to rest and relax.

The cottage itself is like a home from home and has everything you might need, so comfortable and well thought out.

The bifold doors in the kitchen frame the beautiful view perfectly.

Had a wonderful week in this well-appointed house in a great location on the edge of Snowdonia. Easy to get to on the motorway network from our home in the Midlands and half an hour from the Welsh mountains and beaches of Anglesey. The welcome basket was a nice touch and the hot tub was well used by the kids. Hopefully we'll be back.

A gorgeous cottage in a great location. The owners have clearly extended and updated the cottage in the last few years and it's a lovely place to stay. It's location means all of north Wales, Snowdonia and Anglesea are all within easy reach.

2 adults and 3 teenagers, we found the house very welcoming and super well equipped. Ideal for families looking to explore the sites near and far. You can forget the car and go on local walks or drive max 30 minutes to wonderful popular locations like bangor Anglesey and llanberis. We had a wonderful time and the house was a massive part of it
