Poplar Farm House is a beautiful Victorian detached house that has been lovingly renovated by the owners. Many period features have been retained along with high ceilings, stunning picture windows, decorative fireplaces and wooden floors. The interior is a wonderful combination of traditional and modern, with lovely colour accents and original artwork in many of the rooms.

The house is spacious and comfortable, with a large sitting room, dining room, kitchen and shower room. Upstairs are four large bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside, the large garden is a haven for children to play and explore, with lots of seating for the adults to watch and relax after a busy day exploring the historic town of Sandwich and further afield.

The Georgian coastal town of Deal is close by, with its long beach and pier, and vibrant high street with cafes, restaurants and artisan and boutique shops.

Poplar Farm House is the perfect holiday home for families and friends to relax and unwind.

Nice enough house, v toasty, can walk into town. However we had cesspit works going while we were there that we weren't told about which was inconvenient for parking and smell issues. More importantly for our holiday with young children we booked this place to have a secure garden for kids to play in. However as workmen were in and out all the time sad game was open kids couldn't play safely outside. It should also be noted there is minimal sight of the garden from the house, despite whats implied by the photos so not v kid friendly at all.

Cleanliness was also an issue as there was 1 dish tablet per day and a little washing up liquid. We were there for 7 days so the house got gross pretty quick and we ended up buying cleaning products like sponges which is ridiculous. We queried this and we're told they wouldn't do anything about this.

Also dishwasher only ever half cleaned things so we gave up on it quick, but was a massive pain to wash up for 7 people.

Finally, we left our kid seat there, and despite reassurances we could get it couriered back (at our cost) we dont get a positive response. 2 months later we have given up.

We will definitely not be coming back as it was an icky and not v safe stay with kids.

The cottage is excellent. It’s positioned a short drive from 3 fantastic golf courses so is perfect for a golf weekend. 4 large bedrooms meant we all had our own rooms. A small welcome pack of biscuits, milk and a few other bits was a welcome surprise. It’s a short walk to the town of Sandwich in the evening. Clean, warm and spacious the cottage is definitely somewhere I would recommend.

We had a wonderful week, staying at Poplar Farm, with our daughters, and grandchildren, and dogs. The weather wasn’t great, but it didn’t matter. We visited family and lots of local attractions - Wingham Wildlife, The Sandwich Aquapark, and Margate Dreamland. We also visited Sandwich Bay every day with our dogs and Deal too. We also ate out at The George and Dragon, The Toll bridge, and Giovanni’s. All were great. There is plenty to do in the area.

Poplar Farm was the perfect place for us. We could walk to family in Sandwich town and to Sandwich Bay. It is in a quiet location, with plenty of parking space and a good sized enclosed garden. The accommodation worked well, with one bathroom upstairs, and another downstairs. The kitchen has plenty of storage, and a good range of equipment. The beds were comfy, and the dining and sitting rooms a good size.

Thankyou so much for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Poplar Farm House. The location is fantastic - being just 5 minutes from Sandwich Bay beach in one direction or a short walk into town in the other. The house is really well stocked with kitchen equipment and the bedrooms are both comfortable and stylish. You can tell that a lot of thought has gone in to this property. The summer house is a lovely addition - a great place to sit and read a book. We enjoyed evening meals just outside the kitchen on the patio area. Our dog loved the garden, which backs on to fields which you can walk through. Everything just worked really well for our family and we will definitely be returning!
