Honeysuckle Cottage is tucked away in a quite street parallel to the vibrant high street, with an abundance of friendly and lively cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutique shops, and a short walk to the seafront.

This quaint fisherman’s cottage sleeps four guests in two double bedrooms, one ensuite. On the ground floor is a cosy sitting room with wood burner, and an open plan kitchen/dining room. There is also a downstairs shower room – perfect for washing the salt off after a dip in the sea. Outside, there is an enclosed garden with raised deck.

Good location in Whitstable, BUT awfull to find a parking place !!! Once you get one, you'll not to want to leave by car anymore, as you'll most likely not find a place anymore. The stairs are really steep - but with handrail manageble. Al fresco area at back very nice. Problems with hot water in the upstairs shower and at washing up sink in kitchen.. Turns on and off ad lib and then can't be started again. One has to start another tap apart from shower, to get the warmth back !!! Has to be mended. Showerhead upstairs should be replaced. Shower downstairs only for slim people, otherwise you won't get in !! Smell od sewrage downstirs in loo. Beds are comfortable but very narrow. Location in town great and garden nice to have.
Because of parking problemshesitant to recommend

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're pleased to hear you enjoyed the location, garden, and comfortable beds. We’re really sorry to hear about the difficulties with parking and the issues with the showers and plumbing, these are not things we want our guests to experience, and we’ll be addressing them as a priority. We also appreciate your comments about the steep stairs and will ensure guests are clearly informed in advance. Your input is very valuable to us, and we hope to make the necessary improvements so future stays are much more comfortable.

We had such a nice stay and were lucky enough to have unexpectedly very warm weather so enclosed garden was a huge bonus for us and the dogs! High street is nearby as are lovely seaside restaurants (Old Neptune's highly recommended!). Overall, an enjoyable and comfortable experience.

We rented Honeysuckle Cottage while visiting friends nearby. The cottage itself is lovely, well presented and clean and it had everything we needed for the weekend. The only downside is the lack of parking spaces in the road - we had to park outside our friends' house 10 minutes walk away (although there are car parks nearby). The cottage is near the high street but there was no noise even though there is a pub nearby.

This property is in serious need of some care and attention. We politely called it 'Shabby'.
The decor has obviously not been refreshed for the upcoming season, or indeed any recent years.
Our main concern was with the cleanliness of the property. Stains on the sofa and carpets, spills on the walls and skirting boards, cobwebs and dust throughout - Someone had written (obviously some time ago)  'dust me' with a  cross on the television base unit. Lots of previous comments in the guest book saying the same - clearly never actioned.
Plus:- Both toilet seats were dangerously loose. Curtains were hanging off the rails, the shower screen was not on its runners. The sink taps in both bathroom area are, in our opinion, quite unhygienic. Uncleaned, with black slime on the cold and limescale around the bases and water outlets. The towels provided on arrival left a lot to be desired but were replaced around 9am on the Sunday.  These and many more issues were raised immediately with Keepers Cottages upon arrival.

Parking is an issue and the brochure comment is somewhat misleading. Yes, on-street parking is free but every day we had to find a space over 200 metres away. Not a good situation for anyone with mobility problem
A small plus point is the convenience of the excellent central location.

We stay in a good number of holiday homes and have to say this one was right up there with equipment in the kitchen and the rest of the house. Lovely to have a wood burning, prime tv and a Christmas tree. The location was fab just a minutes walk to the high street and a great tap house called 12 taps, down a quite lane and the house itself was at the end of a cul- de-sac so very quite. The beds were comfortable and there was enough furniture for our use and a lovely little garden which would be lovely in the summer.
I would recommend this cottage and Whitstable itself just a lovely part of the world

Lovely cottage with all amenities and very nice garden. Great location - close to shops and beach. However the only downside was the on street parking. When we arrived we tried a dozen streets to no avail and ended up parked on double yellow lines. The same applied for the next day, so we ended up paying for parking at the railway station (0.4 miles) for the rest of the week. I would not recommend this property for anyone with mobility issues.
