Six individually furnished cottages located on a riverside farm. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on our own stretch of the Tweed. All weather tennis court. Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cheviot Hills and Scottish Borders towns all within 45 mins drive.
The cottage is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. Carol's friendliness and flexibility made me feel very welcome. West Ord is a great place from which to visit many of Northumberland's beautiful and historic attractions.
Always lovely to stay at West Ord! I was great to bring our little boy for the first time to enjoy all the sights and scenery that we have enjoyed over the years. Weat Ord is like a home from home, everything we would need and all the cottages are cosy and comfortable.
See you again soon! :)
Have stayed at West Ord on many occasions, which speaks for itself. We have stayed in just about all the lovely cottages and they never fail to disappoint.Everything you need is provided.Cottage we stayed in this time is perfect for two and very cosy. The cottages are maintained very well and are set in beautiful countryside with lovely walks on your doorstep.Would always go back to this place. The owners Carol and Sandy are very welcoming and respect your privacy but always on hand should you have a query.Just lovely.
This is our second visit to West Ord Cottages. We have stayed in many self catering Cottages & this is by far the best. It is a real home from home. Comfy chairs & beds, a well equipped kitchen, spotlessly clean & a lovely, helpful owner.
Lots to do in the area from castles to beaches. We will be back.
