The location of this cottage in exceptional - away from everything and on the very banks of the Tweed where you can watch the river gently rise and fall twice a day. River walks are right on your doorstep and you can enjoy birdwatching and also fishing (at an extra charge); or the glorious coastline with its vast beaches is within a few miles. The Shiel itself was beautifully presented, very comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need for self-catering. The recently added dishwasher was much appreciated. Excellent location for river watch with swallows, sand martins swooping around and walks along the river. Convenient for Berwick. Welcoming, new host. Returning soon.
