Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Alnwick, Cheviot Hills and Scottish Borders towns all within 45 mins drive.
We had a lovely stay at Shepherds Cottage which is fully equipped, beautifully clean and cosy.
The cottage is ideally placed for visiting the many attractions along the Northumbrian coast.
Though we do not have mobility issues the cottage is ideal for anyone that may as one of the bedrooms in on the ground floor as is a large bathroom with walk in shower.
We spent a lovely weekend at Tweed Cottage enjoying the gorgeous scenic walks during the day and the cosy log burner in the evenings. The cottage was wonderfully comfy and very well equipped with everything we needed.
Have stayed with Carol and Sandy on several occasions and in just about all the cottages. We go back time and time again as the location is stunning. We always get a very warm welcome and the service was second to none.We were a little late arriving and it was just getting dusk but the lamps had been switched on and it was cosy and warm. The cottage was spotless and have everything you could need. Will always return to this little piece of heaven when we need a Northumberland fix.Would highly recommend any of the cottages.
This is the second time we've stayed at Till Cottage and like the first time we've really enjoyed the cottage which is ideally located for many attractions in Northumberland. The cottage is well equipped and furnished and we would have no hesitation stopping there again.
We would not come back every year if we were not completely satisfied with the shiel. The location is excellent, peaceful and beautiful and we have fabulous short walks starting literally at the garden gate. Quiet evenings with a log fire and Berwick only two miles away.
