We rented this cottage for a week & was greeted by Caroline-to whom she recognised us, after 20yrs ago. Unfortunately it was mixed weather but had several journeys out. Places had changed, met up with people- to whom we knew. Had a lovely visit to “Chain Bridge Honey Farm “ had a lovely pot of tea & homemade scones- with huge amount of fresh cream /raspberry & rhubarb jam. Ham rolls - a lot of filling & local pork pie. Also had several meals at The Collingham Arms Hotel- near by. Excellent!!!
Warm welcome by hosts Carol & Sandy. Lovely peaceful & enjoyable stay at the Sheil, slept like a log in very comfortable bed. Seen an otter just outside the doorway, great walks along river, beautiful sunsets. Already booked for next year!.
Everything worked perfectly. Carol was very helpful in shopping a couple of food items for our first night.
