Six individually furnished cottages located on a riverside farm. Salmon, sea trout and brown trout fishing on our own stretch of the Tweed. All weather tennis court. Excellent walking and abundant wildlife (otters, badgers, deer and fantastic variety of birds) all on the farm. Five minutes drive from historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and excellent beaches. The most beautiful place to take time out from the busy world. Views to die for. A little jewel by the River Tweed.
You can spend hours watching the wildlife.
Stunning sunsets to enjoy along with the fresh clean air.
South Bells is very cute and cosy. The fire is a roaring delight.
A perfect treat for a break away.
Fantastic welcome from Carol when we arrived, we were given great information about local places to visit.
A nice cottage in a great location near the River Tweed.
Good facilities in the cottage and a comfortable stay. Plenty of room for a family of 4. A cosy log burner in the lounge which was great.
Over a number of years we have had lovely relaxing holidays at West Ord Cottages. Beautiful area and surroundings. Very conveniently placed for travel to places of interest .Carol is a very friendly, kind and helpful person, and makes us very welcome.
I would highly recommend this cottage it was very comfortable and quiet. The cottage was in a good location with views over the countryside and along the road you could easily walk to the banks of the river Tweed. Berwick on Tweed is easy to reach along with Bamburgh and places in the Scottish Borders and Northumberland
Carol met us at the Geary Shiel and gave us a warm welcome. She gave us the "tour" and took the time to give us personal recommendations of places to visit/eat in the local area. The cottage is very much on its own and our neighbours were a friendly flock of sheep, swans, ducks and birds! There are great walks straight from the front door, one we recommend would be the walk along the river bank to Chain Bridge honey farm, (try the honey cake). It is a great base for going out and exploring what Northumberland has to offer or if you want to just to chill out and relax its a great place to do th...more
