Coulscott House is an ancient farm converted into six holiday cottages . It is set in wonderful countryside in its own secluded valley near the sea and on the edge of Exmoor. Style and luxury are its watchwords. With a pool, play room and play areas, grounds, and animals, as well as hot tubs for the larger houses. Coulscott is family friendly without being totally child centred.
We spent a lovely week here in April with our children and grandchildren aged 3 and 10 months (8 of us in total). Roy was on hand to greet us and was very informative about everything from how to use the tv to what animals were in the farm. We were given a talk on the animals on the Saturday and was left to visit them whenever we wanted after that. The rooms were very spacious and the beds and pillows extremely comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay at Coulscott. The house was very comfortable and well equipped, well stocked kitchen and high chair, bed guard etc provided. We felt at home immediately, as did our dog!
The facilities on site are wonderful for small children, our 3 year old loved feeding the animals and spending time in the play area. Beautiful views, close to several beaches and never felt busy, even though it was fully booked. Thank you - we will definitely be back.
We had a lovely short break at Aylesbury cottage. My daughter had lots of fun in the outdoor play area and swimming pool.
Many nice beaches nearby. We had a baby with us and they had provided every thing that you need for a baby.
The only downside was indoor play area , that was only suitable for under 5s, my daughter is 7 hence could play in there.
Overall it was a very nice break.
Overall the standard of the cottage was excellent and the location was lovely. The amenities were of a high standard and we enjoyed our holiday. The only problem was the four poster bed which my husband hit his head on!
