Coulscott House is an ancient farm converted into seven holiday cottages . It is set in wonderful countryside in its own secluded valley near the sea and on the edge of Exmoor. Style and luxury are its watchwords. With a pool, play room and play areas, grounds, and animals, as well as hot tubs for the larger houses. Coulscott is family friendly without being totally child centred.
Set in a beautiful location in the middle of a valley in North Devon, Coulscott House is a child's dream. We stayed in Aylesbury cottage and couldn't fault the quality. There is plenty for children to do on the grounds such as swimming, playing sports on the sports field (tucked away at the top of the hill). Playing in the amazing Wendy House, pirate ship, tractor or jumping on the trampoline, meeting the various animals or walking in the herb and veg garden. There's also loads to do in the local area, you'll never be bored, our favourites were Woolacombe and Combe Martin beaches and the Dinos...more
A spacious house, suitable for families to share with lots of facilities immediately on site for young children. Swimming pool, play areas and animals kept our grandson entertained during the day; while our own hot tub, walks and lovely views offered relaxation for the adults. Owner and staff very pleasant and approachable.
We stayed at The Old Barn and had a wonderful week. The house was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. Our teenage grandsons were very impressed with the huge tv! The swimming pool and hot tub were an added bonus especially on rainy days. Alice was a wonderful and very approachable host and went out of her way to make sure you had everything you needed. Beautiful location with fabulous views. We would highly recommend.
The amenities on site are great here - the morning animal feed, the swimming pool and the selection of outdoor play. It made entertaining our little one on holiday easy. A couple of things broke in our cottage during our stay, but they were fixed or replaced immediately which was great service. Also thanks to Roy, who was very friendly and gave helpful advice. We had a lovely stay.
We enjoyed a perfectly lovely week in the Peacock Cottage. Very well appointed kitchen with all the utensils you could need for a week away. Gorgeous little garden, even if it's a bit steep to climb to, the views are wonderful! Clean and tidy. Enjoyed the pool, booking exclusively for your family, so felt very safe. Plenty of facilities to cater for all ages and picturesque views from the valley. Of course you have all the wonderful areas to visit that North Devon has to offer, we discovered the Hunter's Inn at Heddon's Valley, stunning walk from Woody Bay this time.
