Fabulous experience all round. Excellent location for exploring North Devon. The cottage was well presented, spotlessly clean, well decorated and equipped. The grounds were beautifully maintained and all staff onsite were courteous and helpful. Would recommend without hesitation and we look forward to returning one day soon.
We had a fabulous stay at Pipistrelle barn it was everything you need for a family and more! We did arrive in a heatwave and would have enjoyed some air conditioning especially in the bedrooms, we did have enough fans in the rooms but I think this would be worth investing in with the lovely summers we may continue having. The on site facilities were all brilliant and the variety for the children meant they were never stuck for things to do! Coulscott is a great stay with young children. Lovely pool, play areas, animals and friendly staff. Cottages tastefully decorated and comfortable with everything you need. Would highly recommend
This is he second time we have stayed there and booking again for next year. A real gem. A great base to explore North Devon.
We had a family multi generation group staying in the Georgian house , the attached house and Bantam Cottage 3-10 July The setting is glorious - must be the jacuzzi with the best views ever ! The house is beautifully equipped with all ages catered for - endless games of table tennis going on and the 2yr old obsessed by the dolls' house . The pool is great , the animals charming and much petted ! I can't really praise Coulscott more ! It was perfect
Beautiful cottage on a lovely site. Well presented and comfy. Onsite team greeted us to make sure we were settled. Great for families and dogs. Honesty box shop with food and extras to buy was a nice touch.
The Old Barn and the facilities at Coulscott were excellent. The Old Barn was comfortable , well furnished and well equipped. The decking was really great, uninterrupted vies of country side with a great hot tub, spacious and well equipped, we ate outside every day, although the umbrella wasn’t big enough to give shade to all of us and did rotate in the breeze! We loved the pool and we swam most days, my grandchildren , 15, 14, 13 and 10 years old loved the animals especially the rabbits and were also able to wander off into the grounds without anyone worrying about them. We’ve just enjoyed our third stay at Lost Manor, having stayed twice when it was owned by the previous owners and now once with the current owners. The house has had some really worthwhile upgrades, particularly the kitchen, which has made an already lovely property even better. We were slightly apprehensive knowing the owners now live on site, as one of the things we’ve always loved most about Lost Manor is the sense of privacy. We needn’t have worried. Lovely site and we had a super week.We travel a lot and although the cottage was very nice we were expecting perhaps a higher standard when described as luxury.A few little niggles which we didn't worry about but Alice would have dealt with we are sure very promptly. Parking is very limited.There are electric car chargers which is great however we had an issue accessing these as non electric vehicles blocked access.There were only two electric cars on site and we think the site was not full.Possibly overkill but large signs indicating for electric vehicles chargers would be sensible but I acc...more
This was our second holiday at Coulscott, and this time we brought our extended family along to stay in the gorgeous Georgian House. It did not disappoint! The bedrooms were comfortable, and the house was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need to cook large family meals and enjoy a BBQ on the terrace. The setting is absolutely stunning—so quiet and peaceful, making it the perfect backdrop for family time. The kids were thoroughly entertained the entire trip.
