We loved the cottage and the lovely setting in the rolling countryside Handy for the seaside and Georgia the dog loved the animals!!
Myself, my parents and our two dogs had the most relaxing break away here at Coulscott, We stayed in the Aylesbury cottage which was beautiful, spotlessly clean, so cosy with the log burner, and well equipped with everything you’ll need and more. We loved the free range animals within the complex, it was lovely to walk into the area where the animals were and all of a sudden they all come running towards you, it was great! The views from upstairs in the cottage were beautiful! Excellent location, we drove to all of the North Devon beaches which were not too far at all. It was the most...more
We have just returned from our second family holiday at Coulscott. We are a family of 12 ranging from Great Grandad to Great Grandchildren. What a treat it is to be all located in adjoining properties (Georgian House and Old Farmhouse) having loads of space for everyone to 'do their own thing'. The littlies love the 'secret door' between the two properties! Great G loved relaxing on the patio whilst the Great Grandchildren dived between the animals (especially the alpacas), pool, soft play and the very well equipped play area (pirate boat was a great hit!) We explored Ilfracombe, Coombe Mar...more
We had a fantastic weekend at Coulscott and couldn't ask any more from either the property or the service received. The Old Barn has been beautifully renovated and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was lovely, set in a very picturesque valley.
We stayed in Bantam cottage while our children and grandchildren stayed in The Georgian House. Bantam Cottage was comfortable, well-equipped and clean. The additional touches such as tea, coffee and milk plus fresh eggs from the Coulscott hens made it more special. The grandchildren loved the pool, the play area and the animals.
Lovely property. We enjoyed feeding the animals, the chickens and ducks were very funny. Loved the pool and hot tub. Chilly , windy and wet week so after a bracing walk we came back and had a great fire to enjoy. Devon out of season is excellent.
A delightful and comfortable property, attentive but not over-bearing owner, Amide, who was in hand to answer questions if required. Facilities well kept and as described- easy to access and use. Cottage was well equipped (only thing we couldn’t find was a cheese grater). Very helpful to have a dog walking loop on site. Well placed for local attractions too. Children thoroughly enjoyed the play areas and animals. Would definitely stay again.
Three families shared two properties at Coulscott (Georgian & Bantam) and a great time was had by all - especially the under fives, for whom the play areas, swimming pool and interaction with the farm animals were the highlights.
