Chestnut Cottages gave me exactly the quiet break I needed. The place is clean, cosy and well equipped, with calm countryside views right outside the door. The location makes it easy to explore nearby villages and walking routes, yet it still feels private and relaxing. A comfortable, peaceful stay that I’d happily return to.

Stayed here with my family (two adults and four children aged between 10 and 15). It was a lovely base for the surroundings area, but I would have happily spent the three days just chilling out. The cottage was perfect and immaculate. We loved the friendly goat that kept visiting! It was good to have the games room to hand, but also a tv in the cottage for downtime. Staff were friendly. I’d happily live here, let alone just stay for a holiday. I’ve already recommended it to all my friends!

This was our group of four anglers second stay in the Oak cottage at Chestnuts Cottages. The cottage was clean and tidy and kitchen had everything we needed, couldn't fault anything. Fishing: As well as the on-site pond which holds a number of double figure carp, you have a wide choice of fisheries a short drive away by car. Food & drink: The local village of Burgh Le Marsh is only a 10-15 minute walk from the cottage and has a number of pubs and takeaways.
