Our well-equipped self catering cottages near Skegness provide a relaxing, peaceful environment for all the family. With plentiful space, comfortable beds and individual character you will soon feel at home. All cottages have flat LCD TV’s and DVD players.

We have a range of self catering cottages to suit your needs and requirements such as cottages with enclosed gardens for pets and children, single story cottages for easy access and inter-joining cottages for large parties.

Unfortunately this wasn’t the stay we had looked forward to. Although we had booked the cottage for 3 nights we left after 1 night due to the problems we encountered.

Positives

Nice view from the cottage over fields
Perfect size for two people
Kitchen facilities very good

Negatives

The car parking space for Holly is away from the cottage, it is right next to a tennis court & people have to squeeze past your car to get in/out.

Four flies in the cottage when we arrived (& when we left) no fly spray provided & the office was always closed

The double bed is very uncomfortable, hard, creaks & virtually impossible to get in & out on the side behind the door. The gap is tiny between the bed frame & wall. One of us slept on the sofa in the lounge.

The shower floods the bathroom floor due to the ‘design’ of the shower rail/curtain (other guests have mentioned this in the visitors book).
At least part of the adjoining cottage’s ‘upstairs’ runs over the top of Holly & we had a lot of noise from children running around.

Complimentary tea/coffee is provided & you are invited to help yourselves to a jug of fresh milk from the fridge in the washroom. Unfortunately we only found two open bottles with a little milk left in each which was 2 days out of date!! Again the office was closed so unable to report it.

After returning from an evening in Skegness on our second evening we returned to an extremely hot cottage & couldn’t face a second night. We packed our car & left, arriving home after midnight.

This was our first stay at The Chestnuts & unfortunately will be our last.

We have been here a few times, it’s a lovely location which is nice and quiet with easy access to shops and the coast.
We find it’s perfect a short stay for us rather than a full week. But that’s down to personal choice.
I would definitely recommend. The staff are lovely and everything is clean and tidy. Home away from home.

Fantastic stay in this 1-bed cottage annexe in a beautiful part of Lincolnshire. Communication with the hosts was very clear and informative. Extremely quiet, private area overlooking a wildlife pond and fields, the cottage was right next to a small working farm with some goats. Very peaceful environment with all the facilities you could need for a rural retreat!
Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit the Wolds or the coast.

We stayed in Holly this weekend. What a beautiful cottage. Very clean, comfortable, and lovely and quiet, a smashing little bolt hole. We will definitely be back. We’ve stayed before in two other Cottages with friends. None of which disappointed. Just heaven.

Cottage is in a lovely position very quiet only thing we didn't like was the bed not very comfy and a king size duvet is a must on a double bed

We lived in Wainfleet road so found it very handy to visit children and friends. Only 1 complaint, we found the shower tray slippery, but we laid a hand towel in and it was ok.
We had problems with the fire,very hard to light, the switch needs seeing to.
We aren’t making a big noise about the problems, overall it was lovely and of course we will be back.

Fantastic short stay in this quaint little cottage with a stunning location and stunning sunsets
The best accommodation with fishing that we have ever stayed in the unfortunate part of the break was having to come home a day earlier but we will definitely be back i can see this destination being a regular on our calendar
We will and have highly recommended these cottage's to our friends and family fantastic
