We chose this lodge as we needed a couple of days to relax and get away from everything.
This place did not disappoint. It is in a fantastic location, extremely quiet and peaceful. We could sit out the front and watch all different species of birds feeding from the feeder. There was a Robin that would come and land right by your feet and wait to be fed, this happened every day. We even sat and watched a deer walk past one night.
We were also there for the fishing. There is a lovely swim right outside your door. This side of the lake is a little weedy but very fishable.
The owners have thought of literally everything to make your stay comfortable including the welcome pack of bread, milk, orange juice, butter and fresh eggs.
I will definitely be trying to book again in the future.

My daughter stayed last Christmas, and recommended Headlands farm to us, as she thought her dad would enjoy the fishing opportunities Good communication! Easy to find! Beautiful lodge with everything you need for a peaceful break!
It was clean and comfortable and cosy! A lot of thought has gone into these lodges! We would certainly like to return!
My husband caught a tiny bream, but had a lot of bites and would love to catch a big one next time!
Enjoyed exploring Romsey, Motissfont and the surrounding countryside too!

Always enjoy our stay at headlands. Only 2 more lodges to do and we've stayed in each one. Alex & Alex are as always very prompt when needing help. I do know they have cleared out some weeds but still was finding my rigs tangled each time I had to recast.

Great location, nicely spaced out lodges with good privacy and covered porch which is essential in the uk.

Everything you could want was provided for.

Only criticism was the placement of the gas hob, which was underneath the shelf with microwave on it, not sure why it wasnt on the other side of the sink?

Great little lodge, well thought out with a nice little swim for fishing but tough to catch with lots of weed, the bed was a bit firm for my liking but may suit others and still managed to sleep OK, is very peaceful with the odd occasional noisy bird, lots of animals on site. Comes with all the mod cons minus oven but does have a single hob and microwave to get by. All.in all a lovely stay and would recommend, even free WiFi and netflix

Great few days in wonderful little cabin where the hosts have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Steps from your own private fishing peg and stone bbq make for an ideal way to relax and while away the hours enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The most gorgeous peaceful place to stay, the lodge was beautiful and so clean and had lovely little extras. Then the location was just so tranquil and calming, the wildlife there is amazing! we had a great time fishing there too. The cafe is lovely and we enjoyed the yummy pizza on Friday night, would highly recommend staying here! All the team were so lovely from booking our stay and when we were there!

Well thought out wooden lodge for a relaxing getaway particularly for those who enjoy fishing. The lakes are well kept and enjoyable to walk round. The on-site cafe is also a good place to visit we had a traditional breakfast on our first morning which was nice and good service from the staff. The pigs, goats, chickens and guinea pigs give an added interest if you are animal lover. This was our second visit to Headlands Lodges and will definitely be coming back.

Lodge exceeded our expectations, roomy, very clean and comfortable. Liked the small touches. Quiet and peaceful. Very private. Fishing in front of the lodge which made it perfect. Non-stop fishing, great fun. Perfect little get away. Can't wait to go again.

We split our time in the New Forest between here and another location - in reality I should have had longer in each place to take advantage of everything they had to offer, both in the surrounding area and on site. It's a lovely property, and a couple of days extra to relax here would have been perfect!
