We stayed over here for one night while exploring the local area. Wished we had stayed longer as it was absolutely beautiful. The amenities provided are the best we have had in a cabin before. The site is beautifully maintained with lots to do for kids.
From the moment we arrived we could see how much love and effort the owners put into transforming their land into lodges, activities and eatery. A great break with little ones. From trails to padel, and fishing to the farm and fresh cakes. Nice to get out of london and be in nature. The lodges were not overlooked so it was nice to wake up to trees and the sound of water. The lodges were equipped with everything needed and there were a few cute gifts on arrival, including fresh eggs from the roaming chickens that loved hanging out in our garden.
Headlands Farm provided the most incredible stay as a couple. The surroundings were beautiful, a really peaceful location, gorgeous accommodation with all details considered. A very generous welcome pack to get your started with breakfast etc., cute coffee shop onsite and a good selection of activities (padel onsite, tennis nearby, for children there is a play area and the local wildlife to keep them occupied, plenty of space to run around!) We absolutely plan on returning and will not hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you to all at Headlands Farm.
We have had the most relaxing weekend at Mallard Lodge, the birds the scenery, the fish everything was calm and so beautiful. The lodge was equipped with what we needed and the coffee shop which I visit quite often was amazing as always. The only little problem was the mattress on the bed was not comfortable, you could feel the metal springs, and the bbq slabs were broken and loose I'm guessing due to the heat but this could collapse and cause a accident and a fire otherwise everything was amazing and really want to try another lodge next time
Great little lodge, well thought out with a nice little swim for fishing but tough to catch with lots of weed, the bed was a bit firm for my liking but may suit others and still managed to sleep OK, is very peaceful with the odd occasional noisy bird, lots of animals on site. Comes with all the mod cons minus oven but does have a single hob and microwave to get by. All.in all a lovely stay and would recommend, even free WiFi and netflix
It was my grandson 16th birthday he loved the fishing. I loved the peace and quiet it was very relaxing.
